The elderly gentleman with the antlers was using "you" to refer to the person that would make the medicine. He didn't mean that Peter had any illness.
With my limited knowledge, people who are into models, generally like building and painting it themselves
this is true, I myself paint models and its part of the joy, however some people also enjoy just buying the finished model, especially these more military type of models, however its always a hard sell, hope the team can get those beautiful models sold though, quite a very good job done with them!
I'm into models. Generally I like boning them.
@@miguelv.p739 Well built 1/34 WW2 models have gone way up in value in the last twenty years. The level of quality I bought in the 2000's went from fifteen bucks to a hundred fifty. Today the market is flooded with third world hack builders that take great photographs.
Probably depends on the person. I had a lot of models growing up but all were pre assembled. I never had the patience to build one myself.
@@Opethfeldt understandable! especially these military models, so many pieces! always a joy to look at in the end though!
Old guy said, hand those knives out to some kids. Old guy is definitely an old school Boy Scout.
I hear "old school boy scout" and think, keep my kids away....
Or just doesn’t give a dm about people
With those military models, all of the hobbying fun is in building and painting them, and then displaying your artistic work. I'm not surprised that nobody is interested in buying someone else's pre-built/painted models.
Dude, I was literally JUST saying that outloud LOL. Nobody wants a prebuilt model.
My brother is a very talented model builder and people pay him to build models of a ship, aircraft, etc. he has some health issues and has a store and he turns away “builds” all the time. So there is a market for built models, but to the right buyer
@@takedeadaim8671 At the same time, I am sure that your brother's customers pick out a model of something that has a story behind it or of sentimental value. I get what you're saying
Its the same for Gunpla. To sell a fully built model you are looking at about 25% of its original NIB sell price
I meant picking out a pre built model and then bringing it to him to build.
Smart man. Trading his items for silver instead of fiat money.
Yup
The older getleman warmed my heart. Was very fair with his stuff and wanted to give his knife out to older kids. Pete and the older getleman are stand up men.
He was definitely a cool guy. I enjoyed their exchange.
Agree. He was a cool older guy ❤.
Pete always is fair. That's the reason why I watch.
He was just joking around about "diseases" because some cultures use ground antler for medicine. Had nothing to do with Pete's health. The fella was pretty cool in my book!
You mean crazy countries like America, the UK, Australia, China, Canada...?
We all have companies making millions a year selling products with deer antler as supplements
yeah he didn't mean this man in particular, just that some people do use it as medicine.
The guy was a country bumpkin who likely sees all foreigners as the same. He probably heard about Chinese traditional medicine on an episode of NCIS or Fox News and thinks it applies to all people with an accent.
@@rogertoaster9385 I think you are underestimating his intelligence.
@@rogertoaster9385 Can't tell why i was deleted. But every 1st world country has products with deer antler.. Sold every day. Multi-million dollar market...
Not saying it does anything.... But NCIS or Fox news are bad? show your bias without showing your bias.
The man about the disease didn't mean offence he just had a dry sense of humor
@@Unknowingly545 your just soft man up
@mattsmith6151 did you just assume it's gender lol
@@greed42o don't start with that nonsense lol
Ye that was very odd.. And most of that "market" is Asian, and Pete does not look Asian in the slightest way, getting Nazi vibes from that guy xD
@@mattsmith6151tough guy, watch out
"All your diseases" was meant to be a general term for all of _the_ diseases, not _yours_ specifically.
*Ex: The multipurpose cleaner is the go-to cleaner for all **_your_** cleaning needs.*
Correct.
At least someone has some intelligence around here.
he's intelligent enough@@dennisneo1608, he's just not a native English speaker. meaning can get twisted or lost in translation, otherwise he's just guilty of a clickbait-y title.
okay dont get your panties in a bunch neo
We got that Sherlock, still a pretty ridiculous thing to say to someone just because they have an accent. Even if Pete looked and sounded like a Chinese person where such a thing would make sense it would still be something that only an idiot would say to start a conversation.
@@dennisneo1608you're Dunning-Krueger personified
That last interaction, I like seeing that and the honesty as well. Respectable businessman.
“Hand em out to some kids…well not little kids” lol!
The old man wasn’t even insinuating that he had a disease it as just a misunderstanding
Pete, a FINISHED tank for $40 isn't an awful price but the whole point of a person paying the high price for a kit is to get the ENJOYMENT of assembling and painting it. Not to buy a finished product which isn't the point of a kit. You might get $5 for the tank and $10 for the display case if you're lucky. It's a shame but most people that like that kind of thing, want to assemble and paint the item.
"That's what the foreigners do..." 💀💀😂😂
Yeah that got me, because that's what NATIVES do. People who were here before us whites.
Also Pete being white but technically a foreigner. It was clunky and in current year would definitely not land but I got what he was getting at 😅
Yeah we do that we grind also human bones... I mean come on xD that' was funny.
@@RobbyJHope I doubt that's what he meant. Deer antler is also used in traditional Chinese medicine.
Miniature decoys - search Ray Schalk in Claremont, FL. Originally from Schaumburg, IL, he carved miniature copies of Mason Decoys from Detroit in the 1970s.
The old man was just joking about the diseases lol
Shout out to your camera guy / video editor. Excellent work as always.
Congratulations. You are quickly backing away from questionable deals. Love your show!
I wish you good luck with your planes and boats models. The money is not in the result but in the fun and the pride of building it. I will never display models I have not built on my own. But, I might be wrong.
I am a picker / flipper and I love watching your videos . I have learned from you that saying no is as important as saying yes . I hate confrontation or hurting feelings but business is business and I just don’t feel good when I make a bad purchase . 👍
The guy who traded his junk for silver got a good deal. Also I love how Pete sees something laying around in the shop and assumes it’s scrap and gives it to Ruby 😂 he sure does love his pets.
There's not a huge market in selling built models. The point is building them and painting them yourself. You cannot factor a man's hobby passion in labor + the cost of the kit
Donate da models to the local VFW club!
Educate yourself on built models. I have sold hundreds and hundreds of them. You would be surprised what they bring
@@MikeS-vb1bs meat on da bone, little room ya know what I mean
You said it . . but kids don't care , kids into models build & paint them but still appreciate others hard work
you have never looked much into warhammer mini's have you.. theres a huge market for buying built and painted models
I can't imagine someone interested in model anythings buying the model already made, all of the interest is the time you spend building and painting the model yourself. It's like buying an already completed jigsaw puzzle.
Pete obviously knew the guy didn't think Pete's diseased, he was just trying to have some fun with his day.
You guys know what is really really and really going on. I am sure of it. Thank you for Wednesdays and Sundays. Love the real business and actual world that we are all dealing with. Helping to move forward. Exciting times ahead to say the least.
That game stop/video game guy has 100% snorted something in his life. Holy cow. I love this channel. Pete never judges. Stand up guy who appreciates how great America is. Never change Pete. My family loves your show
love the Meow Meow mascot such a sweetie
I could disassemble those models for a small fee 🔨 then the buyer can get all the joy of putting them together
12:00 the WHOLE point in buying models is building them.
Pete with the ole pawn stars "let me call an expert".
That model collection is off the hook amazing!!!!! Just a beautiful collection
You should do that every video. Show us a couple items around the shop that have been sitting awhile and give us the story.
Hey Peter, you just keep doing these videos, always interesting, fun to watch! God Bless and Stay Safe!😊
I think that by having those figures painted actually devalues them, for some hobby collectors the process of painting is half of the product
Love your videos. Honey is the best. I'm a cat owner too. His name is Felix. I rescued him as a stray...I'm in California Fun Fact. DISNEYLAND in Anahiem Let's cats loose on the property at night after closing to keep the mice population down. No pun intended 😂

Pete , the guy with the antlers . . don't think he was suggesting You had diseases , but that ground-to-powder antlers/animal horns have been used as medicinals to treat all kinds of maladies for centuries in some cultures . I think ground-up Rhinoceros horn is used as an Aphrodisiac
That’s exactly what he meant…Pete knows that.
@@Shelacy .. I don't think it was that clear what Pete knew , as he still even has trouble with English words , occasionally , being that he was raised in Poland ............. so , I made my comment above as a "Just in case..."
“Maybe I thought you wanted them to make medicine for your diseases” “that’s what foreigners do”
He meant what he said, don’t make excuses
@@WOM-MN 100%....everyone is saying aww he was kidding. No, he got comfortable saying racist stuff and nobody checks him.
@@WOM-MN . . The elderly gentleman was using the adjective 'your' not in the singular form "relating to you or yourself" as he would if he was directing it solely to Pete , but was using the adjective 'your' in the plural sense as "relating to yourselves" , as in the diseases of humanity , "your diseases" (our diseases) ... not diseases specific to Pete ........... because if he had been , he would not have been surprised and caught off guard when Pete asked him : "What kind of diseases do you think I have" . If the gentleman had meant what YOU said he meant , he would have answered Pete and named diseases he thought Pete had .............. plus , the gentleman said : "that's what foreigners do" .. again , the plural , plurality ....... He , in my opinion , was not aiming his comment at Pete , but was refering to diseases of humanity , which different cultures , tribes , ethnic groups , nationalities , "foreigners" , treat in different ways
PETE, it's nice that your inner child is still so much alive. ☺
I will be interested in what the collection of decoys are worth.
What were you thinking to get out of it? “…A one ounce bar of silver 😏….” 😂 gotta love it
Those models are actually pretty cool but im not much into military stuff. While i agree people do enjoy building and painting their models, not everyone does. Ive seen plenty people pay for premade models but i would say that is more for models you will use (such as warhammer)
Pete the fun in models is building them yourself- I’d leave the price they are a hard sell but someone will come along
Deer Antler is claimed to help ED in certain traditional medicines. Dude was just teasing ya. Funny guy.
Imagine shops like this in the 70s and 80s, the owner really had to know his stuff, no internet to look it up, search what's it worth. They had to do it all by themselves
Thanks for all the videos! Though Pete, please bring back the giveaways!!
5:14 funny thing, he never actually said "Luke, i am your father" it's one of the biggest misquotes in history haha he says "No, i am your father"
Pete needs to make t shirts with his face on it that says I LOVE IT ! he says it on all most every video Lol
And "I'll be honest with you."
And “ Ya Know”
And “ I think I’m gonna pass on this one “
"ya know what i mean?"

Hey Pete :) it was nice to see Ruby back in the front on the perch! It was funny about the diseases with the antlers but that is mostly in a lot of oriental cultures. Just love your videos and thank you.
I love the g4 cube in the back ground I have the same one awesome to see!
Loose antlers are sheds. Those were skull caps. Sheds fall off living deer every year. Skull caps are taken from dead deer.
"Look, i am your father"
"High score four and seven years ago"
Great video I would love to look around shop in person till then keep posting great videos
Nothing against the crew, but Ruby is an absolute gorgeous creature or bird, if I ever get to a Bears 🐻 game I’m going to stop in and visit her and everyone else❤
I checked, and according to the Skyrim wiki, you can make restore stamina, fortify stamina, and fortify restoration potions with antlers. Mixing with some other ingredients can cause a poisonous effect. I didn't list those here.
"Miss Isabella Francisca Veramendi de Valero, AKA Bella, was coronated as the Official Alamo Cat in 2015. She is the latest in a line of Alamo Cats who patrol the complex defending the Alamo from pesky rodents and greeting visitors from across the globe."
I looked her up, I've had many cats over the decades, my late mother also always had tons of cats....this "Bella" is hands down, one of the coolest, prettiest cats to walk the earth.... very stylish indeed 😅 (I'd definitely trade one or both of my miserable azz, terroristic cats, Fatty or Miss Kitty, for Bella, in an absolute heartbeat... just don't tell them I'm plotting the trade or you'll never hear from me again 😖🥹)

Bop It games are the best! Never knew there was a Darth Vader one!
Great video Pete, thank you for sharing. 😊
That type of antler mount is more European, traditionally mounting on a plaque, often in a coat of arms shape. I operated a hunting/guiding/hosting outfit yrs ago. I almost forgot to like, but then I thought I otter do that!
23:49 The real life Doug Bell!
That kid was like mom I know I heard that guy right he told him to hand those knives out to us so can I get one? Lol
He’s correct, I’m 29 and grew up with bop it toys being popular
he did not suggest you had a disease, he's just saying if you needed to or wanted to try some TCM, you can grind them up to do so.
Last dude - sorry you did look geeked-out
I thought so too
Plus he said he works at a school.
Maybe the dude wouldn’t have to sell his stuff if he didn’t spend his money on some silly tattoos. I don’t understand people
That toy tractor was made by ERTL, which is the company name. It's the company makes most of the farm toys in the stores. It's worth $5 or so, unless it is from the early 80s, then maybe $10. You have to be a tractor geek to know the model, then you can look it up better.
I'm really surprised a collector didn't get those ships! 😳
Those model ships are bautiful. Shocked that they don't sell
as a 96 kid i think bop it was phasing out by the time i got to "bop it" age, all the kids i knew with them were older or had older siblings
12:33 f I was in your position. The first thing I'd do is prominently display the name of the craftsman/artist who assembled the model kits. The level of skill it took to in the models is evident. He was in all likelihood successful in other endeavors. Maybe the gent who assembled and painted the models won a modeling award...
Not a tank it's a M109 155MM SP Howitzer
'as long as i don't look like an idiot' sir, there's a guy behind you with a tshirt that says 'obey jesus' he's got the 'looks like an idiot' part covered
"For your diseases" was a figure of speech, a colloquialism. It wasn't personal.
For example, a used car salesman might use it to point out features to a potential buyer "You've got you're electric window switch here, your charging plug there, etc"..
Can we please have a dumpster dive special?
They're talking about recomissioning the Iowa and Missouri destroyers. Might want to hold on to models of those for a while. The price will probably go up if they put them back in service.
Do research on those models and efind out they area dedicated to those ships and people, then email the VFW or American Legion posts claiming them in some way or another.
They usually have displays for them.
my uncle made good money selling his elk horns to someone that processed/ground them up and resold them to the chinese for medicine that was used for arthritis and something to do with just the skin itself, cannot remember if it was just skin tone or what now. That little john deere without a closer look resembles to me the ones sold just at tractor supply on that square rack by the entrance that so many use in doing farm dioramas at the farm shows.
man im a young dude thats old in the head , i love all those old ships , helicopters, subs and tanks . i'd pay a bit of money for them

Why can't people have enough kindness to clean their merch before bringing it all in?! It's just the right thing to do. It shows you're decent and conscientious.
IMO the OG GO Board is fine with Ruby approved validation marks.
I think you be better off selling the model ships and airplanes on eBay to get your money back. These deer antlers can bring money that was a good trade.

Not sure what the laws are there/in your state, but they won't allow me to buy or sell antlers attatched to skull pieces or cut off of skulls without having the harvest/hunting tag from when the animal was harvested. Otherwise, Wildlife/Conservation Officers can come into my store and seize them. Might want to check into your local laws regarding animal parts. I know that even some taxidermied pieces can get seized here.
