"she probably smells my cat"
"Do u have a cat?"
"I used to...". 🤔
Different kind of “cat” Honey is smelling there. Lol 😂
I worked on cars for over 40 years before retiring.
That Victor torch set is the gold standard of
oxy/acetylene.
Call any reputable car collector or museum, tell them you have a 50 year old complet set, new in box.
You'll double your money on that deal easy.
Maybe a retired guy like you might like it. New professionals with enough money order custom tools.
They made MILLIONS of them though... I don't think it's really anything "special"... other than it never being used (and the packaging is a bit rough). Can't imagine there being many "collectors" for things like that. People buy those to use them.
@@billymanilli
Yah, well....
same thing was said about comic books when I was buying them at 10cent, and baseball cards when I was buying bubble gum for a nickle.
So...
who knows...
you might be imagining right,
a Jay Leno level collector might not be interested in a 70's NOS in box complete Victor set for $150+.
Time....will tell aye?
SIDE NOTE:
I really miss Penny candy and 10ct cokes.
((because I have 10 grandchildren))
Price that set new today.

????????
Are you talking about the comic books?
I remember when I was an antique dealer I'd come across solid silver pocket watches. They look good but nobody uses them anymore so there's no real value in them, especially if they don't work.. The irony is the winding key is worth more than the watch and the chain if its silver might have a couple of ounces of silver in it... Love the show and the way you always show respect and honesty to your customers. A rare thing in your business
But the thing is theres heaps of watchmakers and people collect or mod them. You dont know how many sites just on yt there are to do with latest and oldest watches.
Silver is and always will be worth $
@@Erikr-ex9dj Ya, the silverstackers are with you there.
I have been a subscriber for about 6 years now. I not only like the interactions between you and those you work with, but how you all seem like family, not to mention your love of Ruby and Honey. Thank you!
Nice lady. She took the rejection like a champ.
Yes. Honey looking on the shelves was so cute.
"She can't find a watchmaker" - I know. They are a dying breed.
That MRE you opened was actually a very popular one. Lots of soldiers trade for the short bread, and the jalapeño cheese spread! The tuscan beef is by far my favorite beef entree.
The watches can be sold as a group for people making Steam Punk items.
Yeah like the guy from the last episode
Cheers Peter, your so wholesome and fair. There ain’t many of us left brother. Respect
At 24:30, That's an Aquarius PC by Mattel. It's based on the same operating system as Intellivision. (There's even an accessory adapter that plugs into the cartridge slot that allows you to plug in two Intellivision controllers. Sold separately.)
Aquarius computers came out after the Intellivision II system, but for whatever reason they were inferior to the Intellivision console systems. (Less RAM, so the cartridges are incompatible with each other.)
However, the good news is they are worth a ton of money to the Retro collector community. You don't see these come up often, especially in that shape with the original boxes. I have mine with all of the accessories I've mentioned. I've had mine since I was a kid.
GREAT find!
We had the Intellivision and Intellivision II when I was growing up. They were loads of fun!
I had never heard off the Aquarius PC until today. Kind of feel like I missed out now.
REALLY ENJOY THIS SHOW AND THE PETS WHO RUN THE STORE AND ENTERTAIN THE PEOPLE WHO VISIT THE STORE AND ALSO THE CONVERSATIONS!!!!!
Would like to get an update on Neon displays you created and new ideas you are working on. Love your content, especially Honey,Ruby and Mrs. Walters cutting up in the background. Locker Nuts channel mentioned your channel a few days ago 😊
Pete. That computer was made by mattel electronics and you were able to do Basic computer programming to make basic games and programs. It also has a thermal printer, a cassette tape recorder and it also played very basic games..
I think there was an episode of NCIS where the chick made a GUI in Visual Basic to fool the hackers. Isn’t a Firestick still more capable? History is history and I can’t discredit that. The only people that would consider merit in even a cassette recorder are just trying to get their childhood back. My little brother steals my books and puts them on his shelf. He’s never read them.
Thank you, Peter. And your able crew.
Pete I think you are missing the boat with the watches she wanted to give them to you so many folks are hungry for old watches STEAM PUNK creators etc. etc. that lot would sell easily 30-50 bucks really enjoy watching your show take care ......Paul
MREs have glamorous food. When I was in the Army in the early 70's we had C-rats dating from the Korean War period. Didn't kill anyone or make anyone sick. C-Rats were tolerable, but the Scrambled eggs with ham were quite unique. The accessory pack did include a 4 pack of cigarettes, gum, matches, toilet paper, etc... The cans were opened with a P-38 can opener which I still have. C-rats I think, were used until the late 70's - early 80's, and the early MREs were nothing to talk about compared to today's MREs. The soldiers today deserve the best and the current MREs keep getting better all the time.
Reminds me of the scene in doctor strangelove 😂
Anyone else just watching Honey rummaging in the background during the intro? 😂
Once I saw her, I couldn’t stop watching her.
I feel youuuuu
sound like the type of person that votes even though you've been told over and over and over, that your vote does not count
you realize the action of "rummaging" consists of frantically looking for something through random objects... did it look like honey was doing that
😹💙
Cool retro Aquarius computer. I had a Commodore 128 back in that time frame. I don't remember this one. Always kind of cool to see stuff like this!
MRE brings back memories i was in basic training fort benning georgia, and it was a huge snowstorm blizzard and the whole chow hall was closed and we ate MRES all day lol
I've ate many MRE's in the field when in the Military.. Some are no too bad..
They have to make 1 or 2 of them "not too bad" so you have something to fight each other over. It's all about the psyops.
Found you guys about a week ago can’t stop watching love it ! ❤
i am a watchmaker i will fix them dont trow them !!!! lovely box with watches ( stopwatches)!!
Right. I hate to think of people throwing away watches. I mean shit I can even use the parts
@@nickjames205 dude i was still thinking about it haha yepp the parts are rare to people just dont understand???
You have to contact Pete thru his email address in the description
Exactly! I watch Wristwatch Revival channel… He always suggests pocket watches to get into the ‘hobby’ of watch making 👍 I hope she didn’t throw them out 😱
There can be valuable parts on those watches. I think Pete just doesnt know about it or got time for them.
I've known almost every PC/Game device since the 70s and never heard of the Aquarius. No wonder, it lasted only 4 months. Released by Mattel and manufactured by Radofim. No wonder, it was released in 1983 w-a Z80 when you had 6502 and Intel 8088s that ppl were buying at that time. Interesting you got one someone actually bought, probably disappointing some kid at the time who wanted a real computer.
I am using the Billy
Bass for a door bell.
The Mattel Aquarius is rare. I’ve only come across one. However, it’s one of those computers that just isn’t powerful at all, and there aren’t many games for it. I expect those to sell around $100 fully working. Very similar to the TI-99/Timex Sinclair price ranges. C64s sell for a lot more working. I’ve been collecting and selling vintage computers since I was 16 in 2019.
Reminds me of my old Odyssey 2 with Pick axe Pete and K.C. Munchkin but with intellevision controllers. Actually, more like my old friend's old bally midway home console. Haven't seen that one anywhere else ever.
Good to see someone who was 16 in 2019 getting to experience all those machines.
CANADA LOVES your show! Thanks Dean Hansen
Lovely cat around... beautiful fur pattern, looks like shes wearing a black leather vest
Putting the eBay screen up for us to see is s great idea. 👍
The best part about this video is the beginning with the cat checking out the shelf bigtime. I think the cat was looking for a friend.
i fealt so sorry for the lady with the watches as no one actually listened to her and kept butting in when she was trying to explain about her father in law
Yeah and then I kind of lost that feeling when she said she was just going to throw them all away.
Lol she came to a pawn shop to get rid of em all
why dont you cry about it
@@ronnyt101 But that doesn't mean her memories of her father-in-law aren't important to her, you know? She's just selling material goods someone else would better appreciate. But the memories connected to them are more important, and Pete loves stories / provenance so I'm surprised he didn't want to hear about them.
She kept on repeating herself that's y lol
Wow the dude actually said "pokeyman cards". Life imitates art 😂

The food is vacuum sealed so it will stay fresh for years.
Thanks Pete!! Great Show
I remember those Aquarius computers from when they were new! I never had one but I remember them. There were quite a lot of different styles of computer then. And yes, they did have a thermal printer.
Love your videos my friend thanks for all the content you share and love it keep up the hard work my friend
No such thing as "overwound" with a mechanical watch, it just means it's not running, so could be the gears are gummed up, or the balance staff is broken, a jewel is cracked, etc.
You can absolutely strip teeth off gears by winding it too much.
@@andrewdarowski1975 you don't think the spring would snap before?
Wrong! Manual wound watches have a stop where you can't whine them anymore. People go beyond and spring brakes. Than the watch stays in that condition and it doesn't run.
@@andrewdarowski1975 The classic example of "overwound" is when the crown no longer turns and the watch no longer runs. If you turn a watch crown with enough force to strip the winding wheel it wouldn't stop the crown from turning, in fact, it would turn even more freely than ever before.
@@Stanjara When the mainspring is fully wound, it is tight around the mainspring arbor, the force it takes to push beyond that and break a mainspring generally requires tools with force beyond that of a human hand. If you do break a mainspring the watch will still wind and often times will still run, you just won't be able to wind the mainspring fully anymore as when you wind past the point of the break, the spring will slip and the energy will be lost.
I can remember my in-laws getting a computer just like that as a prom for attending some sort of seminar in the 80's I think. It may have been for attending a time share sales pitch.
Pete, You never fail to entertain. Thanks
Honestly the guy with the Victor torch set ups is right, they have not changed in the 40 years I have used them. The brass regulators are very reliable and well made, Victor touches are one, if not the best sets built, now owned by ESAB. A new set runs in the $350 range
As a kid, I once ate a MRE ration of pound cake which belonged to my grandfather. This was in the 1980's so it had to be 30 or 40 years old. WW2 or Korean war. It was in a can. It had shrunk slightly but still remained moist-ish and was tasty. No side affects other than meeting a 9' tall rabbit named Harvey.
The guy in the thumbnail is a great guy.... and he always has cool shit
He's usually stoned, didn't look so happy this time with that $50 offer from Peter.
You had to eat the beef meal cmon! I was waiting to watch you heat it up!
MREs often they dont have any additives or preservatives. We are just used to shops lying to us about expiration dates. Canned food lasts decades so long as it's stored properly, but they put expires in 1-2 years to get you to buy more.
They all have preservatives lmao
I had an Aquarius as a kid! I totally forgot about it until now.
The MRE! I was in the Army & we ate those during Basic & AIT.. memories for sure! The heating element was wild.. Our Drill would take the candy bar out (nothing tasty was allowed in Basic! 😂)
Mattel Aquarius was a flop and was discontinued by Mattel almost immediately after release
Can we get an update on the Black Swan ?

Your channel is the best . 53 yr old hippie from commifornia desert 🌵
I knew when that guy put the transformer on top of the cars he didn't care about that set.
I was sad for the trains
Racecar spelled backwards is racecar 🙂
7:30 That little Mazda 787B racecar is COOL!!
Pete the trick with the singing bass is to mod them with Alexa and then they sell for good money
Wow! Surprised he took 75 for the torch set. 250 would've been my bottom line. Anything less would sell within hours around here.
The guy was smart to take your offer on the Marx train set. You put that on eBay and the fees they charge for a small seller is crazy and not worth it. I have been selling trains on eBay for years and the market is up and down plus the fact packing it up and shipping.
29:37 that’s a victor welding kit. They sell for $250+ all day long
20:05 dude brings in cool stuff, I like him. The Ninja Turtle he brought in was a nice find.
5:44 MRE's are eaten right out of the foil bag and not heated. My favorite MRE main meal was BBQ'd meatballs. Out of the 900+ MRE's I've eaten 70% of the time my main meal was beef stew. I could count on one hand the times I actually got the BBQ'd meatballs.
You do still exist. Love you guys. 😂
MRE's are not too bad... the Chili Mac is pretty good. Heater works fantastic too. Want a real treat.... try a C-ration =)))
Thats cool i had that aquarius, it had a external thermal printer and a external disk drive, the disk drive was connected in the cartridge slot. problem i had i needed to program my own games from the book from aquarius. then save it to a disk.
He obviously does not realize how much some watchmaking tools go for on ebay. Sometimes hundreds of dollars for one small tool
Pocket watches aren't worth much, especially is they don't work but once I bought a box full of hundreds of pocket watch glasses at a yard sale for $5 and made a fortune selling them on ebay in small lots. As you say, watchmakers tools are super expensive to buy new and vintage ones have the quality watchmakers love...
Great video
I had an aquarius computer in about 1984 in England, I think it was either 99 or £149. Good fun.
Just like "regular peanuts"? "...To go bag"? You guys are very entertaining 😂
Your cat is the cutest! If she was for sale you'd have a buyer😻
Jalapeño cheese spread was worth a lot in the military, I always traded mine for cigarettes.
Brought back memories from hurricane Katrina the national guard sent out boxes of those MRE's to the families that stayed behind. I only ate the M&Ms and used heating the pads to make water bottle bombs
I booked a holiday for this 😜from the UK.
Do you still have some of those xmas figurines for sale.
The 80s brass marlboro zippos go for $400+ easy
Maybe, but the Zippo collecting market is VERY esoteric. He’d need to find the right buyer who would be willing to drop that kinda cash on it. Gonna be a hard sell & it’ll sit.
@@RyanAnthonyDigitalMedia no I was being conservative that's auction price easy
@@ICYPROFITS what auctions even handle Zippo lighters? I just searched Heritage & Sotheby’s, & neither have any on census for sold.
Like I said, it’s an esoteric market. Very few people collect Zippos, & out of those people, even less are willing to spend a lot of money on them.
Maybe it would fetch the price you say at auction (after auction fees, taxes, etc), but this store owner will never have someone come into the store wanting to buy it, & it’ll sit on eBay for years.
Fecking Otto, gets me every time, Brilliant!
Thank you from very hot ,San Andreas, California. 😅
didn't they make a gta from that ?
Hmmm 🤔? Let's talk over each other because that always makes sense. 😂
For Lionel Trains my neighbor Gregs Trains in Church Hill, TN sells and buys them. He knows his stuff.
Aquarius computer. Mattel product, only for sale for 4 months in 1983 (June to October). Discontinued because they didn't sell.
7:25 I was wondering about the street sharks that you have in this video. I couldn't find them on eBay or on District. Are you going to be quickly down upon either one of those? Those are pretty cool. I'm interested.
I still have that Aquarius around the house somewhere. Definitely not in good shape.
Vacuum sealing the packages locks in freshness
That game console came out about the same time as the Magnovox Odyssey console.
MREs are made by US companies from all over the country. Its regular food that you can buy under another brand label. Probably tons of extra preservatives amd packed woth more nutrients than the usual recipe. Some of them are good. Some are not so good.
Victor is one of the main torch brands out there. And the tech pretty much hasn’t changed in 50 years. should be able to make money on that. Regulators carry most of the value.
I was going to say the same thing. Victors are great. And I know guys in my field (HVAC and Refrigeration) that search out for the older ones.
Yeah those are not that cheap millwright here
Won't those regulators be bad after sitting 45 years? Diaphragms?
That drafting set was cool. Seems that would have been a great sell to me.
Another great video. My Cat Cali says Hi to Hunny
the hoses on the gas kit will be deteriorated as a working kit its useless .
but as an antique its rare.
I would buy it in a heartbeat but i would be using it with new hoses.
The games are actually a cassette tape, just like the music cassette deck or tapes as we called them
You should consider buying Pokemon cards at Played value, only if they look uncreased or not severely damaged.
Any Pokemon card that isn't creased and has minimal wear is going to sell.
It doesn't matter if it's PSA 10, people build binder collections.
If you buy it assuming Played value you you will never lose money and it's a fair policy to cover yourself incase it turns out to be worthless.
