I am an Estate Liquidator and an Antique Dealer I struggled with this in the beginning but unfortunately family members just don’t want to keep these things anymore or rarely so the option is that they get thrown away. I feel better knowing that they will go to someone who will keep and appreciate them. Even if you sell to another dealer that’s where it ends up. So yes, it’s sad that the family doesn’t want these things but it’s better knowing that someone does.

What kind of watch do you have on?
I’m just thinking it might be a good one because of the position you’re in?
Also, tell Otto I said hello. I hit the like button for the algorithm. ❤

*It's overpriced if it doesnt sell. Economics 101. Something is only worth what someone is willing to pay. Prices fluctuate based on supply and demand. You have to price your stuff according or it will sit and not sell. So the items you have had for a long time are overpriced. You can ask whatever you want, but what someone will pay is completely different.*

The hat is a "40 & 8" American Legion hat. The 40&8 is a sub-organization within the American Legion. 40 & 8 represent train cars used in Europe for transport.
What is The Forty and Eight? La Société des Quarante Hommes et Huit Chevaux (The Society of Forty Men and Eight Horses), is an independent, invitation only, honor society of American veterans and service members; more commonly known as The Forty and Eight.

Memorabilia is meaningful for the people who earned the medal/recognition or may have meaning to someone in the family who also served or had a special relationship with veteran. At that point is good that someone can enjoy and find meaning in the items not be disposed of. I found a WWI medal in my family’s home and have no idea who earned it or what the meaning is. Is. It meaningful to me but hanging on to it hoping someone will enjoy it someday.

My grandfathers medals and everything else he had accumulated was thrown into a dumpster because my stupid uncle didn’t pay the storage bill and didn’t tell anyone. I’d much rather he’d have sold them to anyone instead of them being in the landfill.

Clothing stores/Manufactures sometimes have different fitting Clothes, than the other store. you would have to match the same item from the Manufacture. maybe you can match it some how to make sure it is not a fake!/Look alike!
I also, do not use Ebay as it is a big risk in my opinion for both the seller and the buyer!
