Pete normally has a great poker face, but the boat motor has given him the fizz!!any outdoorsman, fisherman would react the same way.
What a great piece of history
Obviously you are a wranglestar fanboy🤣
Made a killing on it. Don't know why people take less money for things. Just walk out.
Wtf is that n red jacket?
a poker face is called lying. Pete is no lier like u BUD
@michael-ir8cj wow that escalated quickly,I never called Pete a "Liar" ( spelled correctly)
Lighthearted comment because Pete obviously loved it.
That “piece” on the bottom of the motor is a skeg brother! It’s used to help with steering, stability, etc while under power. That would not be necessary on a salesman model! Tight lines Pete! 💪🎣
Yah the seller says OH there is no skeg?
Watching (and subscribed) for about a month my husband and I love your channel. Ready to
Send in postcard! I swear my beautiful long hair Pepper is Honey’s Husband! I love to see her! Anyways, thank you so much for not taking on ANY SPONSORS. You are literally the only channel we have ever met on RUclips that has zero sponsors and that says so much! Much love from Ohio with our beautiful cat Pepper ( Honeys Hubby) The Speakman’s from Circleville, OH
We love ya and Ruby too!
We just love a bigger channel that has beautiful animals and doesn’t try to sell us hello fresh or factor! Thank you Pete we will watch forever!
I love salesman samples because they're pretty rare
Yea that one is worth between $1000-$2000 just because of the condition it's mint
What did he pay for it? I hope more than $400

Yes indeed they do Bacon 😋😂
Agreed! Pigs are so intelligent and deserve rescue!
What was the name of the rescue?
Second Act I think@@micktaylor5520
Do you think bacon smells delicious to them too?
That motor is beautiful
The transmission was something else as well
It's not the only thing that's beautiful. Unfortunately.
@@PohonestyI was thinking the same. Can't forget the lady in Red too!
@huskychronicles3249 The transition was something else 😂
That customer with the Neptune was so rad! Just reminds me of what we all should try to be! So fair and respectful and he always comes back to your for more purchases and great business! Those are the type of relationships that are special with your customers!
Real story bak at the covid era a friend brought bak one of those take home test, dipped it in whiskey& showed up positive🤪
You're always turning out some of my favorite videos to watch! The little outboard motor display piece is more like an art piece, great stuff! Some kind of neon lighting on it would be nostalgic! God speed Pete, stay safe 🎉
That boat engine display looks like one of the art pieces you are trying to make. Really cool!
In 10 years 2 grand
You got a great deal on the outboard, that particular model was designed and produced with no skeg on the bottom. So that salesman model is accurate to the actual production model that was sold back then
Outboard motor might look good at the cabin.
Great suggestion! I have a feeling Pete priced this higher because he wants to hold onto it...can't blame him--cool piece!
Kudos on keeping a straight face when some customers come in. 😀👍
I still have my Dad's old 1930's Evinrude outboard boat motor. I would never sell it as I remember the days with him out fishing when I was a kid. I'm 72 now.
Just my 2 cents here, unless you have someone to pass it down to that will keep it and appreciate the sentimental value of it…. Sell it and spend the money on something you enjoy or a memory with a grandchild that they can grow up with.
Yeah, I can’t imagine selling something like that if it came from my dad.
Used to work in an old building in downtown Denver on Market St. , it was a designated 'fallout shelter' during the cold war, as it had a huge basement that ran a whole city block long connecting to other building basements along Market Street at one time. Its all been torn down now and i really regret not getting those old 'Fallout Shelter' signs that where at every basement stairway. I sometimes wonder if anyone did get them. I don't know if they would have had any value but I'm thinking they would. That building was fascinating to me with its old freight elevators , basement connections that had been bricked in, the old elevator shaks they where called, that housed the huge electric motors that ran the elevators and 2nd floor walkways that ran across the alley to another building on the next block. Funny how you sparked my memory of this with those Covid 19 Signs.. i think you are right ! We will be long gone but there will be someone like you in search of one of the most surreal periods of our time , as real as it was.
Looks like a countertop display also salesman. Very very cool.
The person in the red jacket was pleasant and cordial, also a human being who has feelings!
I was creeped out by it.
Exactly. I'd much rather have a conversation with them than the people in this comment section.
To each their own. I avoid freaks myself.

LMAO 🤣 thank you for that
That is 100 percent a salesman sample. That’s how all my samples look in all my jobs to this day
Am I the only one who clearly sees its a salesman sample from the get go?!?! WTF, its literally a motor bolted to a piece of wood!
Your wrong
It's certainly a good guess from the start, but you can never be sure with old things like that. You never know if it's just some motor someone cleaned up and mounted themselves. It helps a lot when you're able to find confirmation of a guess like that.
thats what i assumed it was.
It is not a salesman sample. It was produced as wall art to be enjoyed as a decoration. Muncie never created such as display.
@@WaldoGotchubent my wrong?
Back in the early 60's I had the same motor attached to a cedar strip canoe. No skeg on the bottom of the motor like yours.
I love that your shop is accepting of all folks (as long as they don't steal guitars!)
Smart businessman, money is money. And in his case, he's a genuine good guy, Polish Power! 😎😎

That's a good trimmer bud!!!! When you want to do custom woodenwork! And it is a guillotine cut. That will make excellent cuts!! I haven't been in there for awhile, I'm quite a distance from you now. Looks like you're doing ok. And that salesmans motor is cool too. I've seen those in the city too. The handle is for lugging it around to different shops.
This is the land of the free, so don't hate on those you don't understand.
What an idiotic statement
I would love to see that dude trying to Machine Parts with those nails
The 1961 Neptune Mighty Mite WC-1 Outboard trolling motor was manufactured by the Muncie Gear Works in Muncie, Indiana founded in 1910. They started building outboard motors in 1930 where they made motors under many brands. The Neptune Mighty Mite was extremely popular. It was a carbon copy of the Evinrude Scout rated at 1.2 horsepower, they were increased to 1.7 after the war. After 1956 all outboard motors were made at Cordele. This example was manufactured in Muncie, which would indicate production prior to 1956. Decal on tank reads "NEPTUNE". Muncie Gear Works was sold in 1969. Mounted by way of C-clamp to a display board that exhibits a propeller, two vintage oil cans and a pull-rope. A near identical display, if not this exact display, is picture in an article on the internet entitled "History of the Muncie Gear Works Corporation Outboard Motors" and comes with the motor. Sold as display only.
I copied this from Morphy Auctions, they have an identical one on their website.
Yeah I seen same thing on Google awesome
What were they asking for it
I like your taste. I love the old school industrial tools they were made to last! The boat motor is one heck of a find for sure. I bough a 1945 Goodyear Seebee 5hp motor a couple years ago and I have got it back to 90% restored. These things are expensive and hard to find good used parts that aren’t beat up. Definitely buy that furnace unit especially for $250 bucks! Those units have tripled in price over the past couple years! Congrats on the boat motor!
That was so nice of Bruce Jenner to stop by the shop and see you guys.
haha!
I knew she wasn’t a Kardashian because she had clothes on
That woman that (he/she/they) was with CLEARLY said, 5:14 "He talks with his hands"
It's Bruce Gender.
Lol
Hello Pete. I think the outboard display motor would look great in your new cabin .. 😊
I was in Door Co today lol
That mitre trimmer is really good quality. Id buy it if I wasn't in Thailand.
You can easily check the dial indicators with a set of Guage blocks. I'd think people would bring a set of those in often as well. Indicators are mainly about repeatability. Set the zero and see if the block or known go to the same number. If they don't hang up and a good brand name, you shouldn't have any trouble getting money out of them. Interapid(swiss made) are the best in my opinion. Brownw and Sharpe, Mitiyoyo, Starrett are all decent.
The plate you refer to is call the skeg. That demo model might not even have been built to actually run.
Some of the old ones didn’t have skegs.
Great point

That furnace is a good buy Peter . I’m not a big fan of Amana , but a 60,000 for $250.00 is a great buy if it’s only 6 months old. You could put it in your cottage and convert it to propane. Love the salesman sample of the outboard.👍👍🇨🇦
Harley Quinn in the Red had quite a bargain!
Harley Gen! LOL
Old tools are the best. I work outdoors. When I was at agricultural college we had to use hand tools from the 40's and their equivalents of today. The old tools ( billhooks, scythes and sickles) went most of the day without sharpening, the modern stuff hourly at best.........
I have a spade dated 1942 ( with crows foot) and I'm still using it today. I run a file over its edge and you could shave with it. It's used nearly everyday too.
And because of the crows foot, has a lifetime guarantee........ although, after 82 years I think it may be void 🤣🤣
That salesman sample evinrude display is AWESOME.....Pete, you should think about that for your cabin!!!!!!!!!!!!😁
Pete gets anymore excited about that motor he's guna hafta call for clean up on aisle 1
Come over here, next to My camera~LOL
That outboard is such a great piece for the mancave! His dad gave it to him, why would he want to get rid of it.
Well he said he was a car dealer so I wouldn't trust a word he says. Truth be known he probably doesn't know who his father is, raised by a single mother and won that outboard in a card game. He wants the money.

that motor is right at the start of that sort of thing i bet it didn't have a guard, it was probably replacing whole hit miss engines in a boat! pull the spark plug out and see if its clean if it is it wasnt used! also that would have been stored in a shed away from the boat so it would need carrying handle for that as well
