That's cool that you held on to yours. I wish I still had mine. The 80s really were a cool and unique decade.

I love the parrots, I've always thought they are such amazing animals, but they live so long I have never wanted to take on the responsibility of owning one. I was shocked to hear Ruby is 48 years old.

Pete, you are a responsible pet owner. Instead of just getting rid of an issue, you readjust so that the pet is the most important thing. This is why I subscribe and watch all your videos it shows your great character. You should be commended for your dedication to your animals.
Exactly. So many people making derogatory comments. Ruby was squawking even before Ms. Walters got there. Parrots compete with noise in their environment so moving Ruby to a quieter area was smart.
I know people like to see Ruby alot. But its important to remember that if she's having problems with the extra excitement that a more quiet place is in her best interest. It's very nice making a place for the other rescue bird aswell. Birds are alot of work. Always love the videos. Hope you and your staff have a wonderful Christmas. God bless!

Ms Walters is awesome! I had a Congo African grey that my ex wife sold out from under me during our divorce, it was like losing a child..... they are the sweetest birds, specially when all is calm and they are chatty! Hi Pete! Thanks for talking about the birds! So I used to have two parrots: a Moluccan Cockatoo and an African Grey. At one time, I lived in Maui so the birds were on my lanai in a condo complex. Well the cockatoo started to squawk SO LOUD all the time!!! It became so bad that I get a letter from the condo association that either the bird had to go or I had to go. I researched and found out something very interesting: in the wild, parrots will often compete with each other, basically trying to be louder than everyone else. What I eventually discovered was that my cockatoo was “competing” with “our” noise: people’s tvs, radios, and even conversations!! 😂 She wanted to be the loudest of them all and believe me, she was! 😅 So moving Ruby to a more quiet area is an EXCELLENT idea - she will be more happy and I think you’ll notice her squawking will calm down. My African Grey also had an enormous vocabulary and ability to mimic sounds to the tee! They are such entertaining birds. I hope this new set up for the birds makes things easier for them and you! Thank you for being such caring animal parents and sharing a little bit of their story with us. Merry Christmas to you, Ryan and the gang! 🎄🎄

There are a few booths at the Volo Mall that have old lunch boxes that are in great condition. You really need to check it out. I purchased a few from one of the booths there that is all old school lunch boxes. I have the same Batman lunch box in perfect condition.

Love the new addition to the Family the African grey! There is Gizmo and Cosmo on RUclips that are Aferican grey stars. Gizmo is a huge trip! He does Not like Christmas and some of his sayings are Mom beats me, slap the police, birds dont fly and who let the birds out. 😂

20 minutes away from where Pete's store is, the Volo Mall has a booth full of vintage lunch boxes with the thermoses. They are not a few hundred dollars either. No clue where the price came from that is sky high. I have the same Batman lunch box in excellent condition. I also have Bonanza, Lassie and many others all vintage and perfect condition.

I recently bought a original 1966 Hogan's hero's lunch box and thermos for only 25 dollars at my favorite antique store. I couldn't believe how much he was asking for it. The thing is in mint condition. Even though I never cared for the show itself I Will never sell it.

It's already been mentioned in a couple comments, but I want to drop a comment as well. I think a live feed camera on Ruby would be a great idea. It will provide security now that she's in a more challenging line of sight (assuming there's function of recording), and it could act as a therapeutic video feed for those viewers who would like to have her on screen to admire.
Pete you need to get your own private label Pet supplies to sell as the show sponsor. You have the best marketing already in place and it’s organic. I would definitely buy your products!

I enjoy the videos, been watching them daily for a month now and I nearly caught up, but I don't get why they value everything by a ebay list then say that the reselling price when it's not ? ebay for years hasn't been the go to place for item value by how easily worked it is.

Pete I watch an episode where you had plastic mold hands that you thought where glove displays. I think those are glove molds for latex and rubber gloves in a manufacturing plant those mounds are dipped into latex and then cooled the manufacturing line has many of these which they switch out for cleaning purposes

When Ruby was on the perch she looked like she wanted to get onto her cage at one point. Maybe push the two together so she can go between each of them when she wants. I agree with another comment on getting a camera on her too. That way if she starts squawking too much, you can take a quick peak on her.

Just to let you know, The lead singer of Midnight Oil joined the Australian Federal Labour Party and was a member in the government. Midnight Oil lost their following here, and since he left government they slowly won back their followers. I had been to three of their live concerts before he did that terrible thing, and they were as good as any top overseas band i have been to. Lunch Boxes: In the early seventies, my (now) wife and her two sisters were each given a lunch box for school. Unfortunately for my wife, they store only had two Barbie boxes left and one Bonanza. Well, she got Ben and Hoss and much derision from classmates for having a Boy's box. She still has it but proudly talks about her Bonanza box. With a thermos!

So sad, Someone has invaded Ruby's territory and now SHE is the one being punished. She is showing her displeasure the only way she knows how, screaming. I hope she doesn't get depressed and I sure hope you give her lots of sunlight like she had before.
I don't believe people should have Birds because birds have wings for a reason they are meant to fly and be around other birds of their kind. Bringing a bird into a situation where you're running a business and you're upset because the bird is squawking will you would be upset if you were locked in somewhere and you couldn't get out and do what comes natural to you which is to fly. It makes me so angry birds are no more of pets then getting a monkey it's wrong it's all wrong. They are not domesticated animals.
@@wildechild5 I tend to agree, but these birds aren't exactly fond of flying and she isn't kept in a small cage, she has a wonderful life and a loving owner who takes care of her, she's older than both of us and you should also be aware that living in the wild doesn't guarantee good quality of life, there are predators and aggression and stress everywhere in the jungle, so all in all I would say being around Peter is a good trade off for Ruby
