    Anything that shows up at our local Goodwill that has any value is always chipped or cracked. I think they only are allowed to sell broken items! Also the Goodwills I see online are more like our Home Goods stores; color coded or divided by use! Our stores are lucky if the clear glass shelves have stuff. The only colored glass and ceramic sections are a small end caps. Our Goodwills are not glamorous like the ones on Utube, but there still is a lone item now and then! Thanks to all of you for teaching us what to look out for!

    FYI, I learned from watching the British Antiques Road Show that if Lalique piece is signed "R. Lalique" it was made by the man himself (or at least when he was alive and in charge) and if it just says "Lalique" it means it was made after his death, so the "R" makes the older ones worth more. (Although they are faked so make sure you compare signatures with real/fake ones online before buying.) Thanks for a fun video! I don't often look at vases because of shipping fear, but I might have to break that rule if they're worth thousands!!

    I believe these high dollar auctions that start their auctions so low are well known Ebay Stores that have a great following of buyers ready to spend money. They already know that this dealer has beautiful pieces by well known artists and are ready to make a purchase if they win the auction. So, even if you have a piece worth thousands, I would not start any auction at .99 cents unless you are a well established Ebay Store with a following. Just a heads up to all who sell out there!

    • @TheNurseFlipper
      @TheNurseFlipper  Год назад +2

      Not necessarily true, if you have a valuable piece your store size or feedback isn't going to come into play as much. I've seen 5 figures on people with less than 100 feedback. It depends on the rarity of the piece more than anything. Some so/so pieces that aren't overly rare or more common might go higher for someone with a following

      Some aren't worth more than $20 so without individaully searching them no way to know

    Funny the most expensive one is probably the one I would be the least likely to look at

    Thanks Kat---I’m curious as to how these sellers go about shipping these objects and who they ** trust ** to ship them??

      I literally just posted similar comment lol..I would be very nervous sending something that expensive and worried that the buyer would try to scam me lol..

      The highest I have sold are 3000 and 4500. The 3000 I shipped USPS the 4500 I paid for a hand delivery service

    BIDS numbers don't seem to matter to me. 3 people competing to win the action can run the number up. Am I missing something? Wonderful video. Thanks so much

      People wanted to know the starting bid on auctions if they were started low or higher, but I agree really all you need is 2 who want it
