When I signed up for internet in Jan 2020, the 'free' Flex box was $5 plus fees for total of over eight bucks. Didn't use the device because it wasn't activated(was told it was) when I picked it up at the Comcast store. The sales rep took an hour to provision my moden(wasn't going to waste another two hours of my life on the phone. Took over two hours on the phone and four months to get it removed from my account and get a credit. Comcast never refunds any overcharges. So glad GoNetspeed came to town.
I don't have to watch it even once Xfinity wifi -10/10
what's a better option?
@@orsboo4447 there's nothing else so you're going to have to use this garbage.
@@craigthedefaultyboi1381 would you recommend a mesh system with it ?
@@craigthedefaultyboi1381 CRAIG!!!!!!!
I would recommend changing how you grade speeds to make it so that if someone buys 100 for example how much do you actually get
Isn't JD Power "pay for play?" Which is to say, companies pay JDP to rate them highly.
My only option is xfinity and at&t, and the fastest at&t in my area is 50mbps which I used for a decade before switching to the $70 800mbps xfinity plan. Both the 50 and 800 cost the exact same if you can believe it, so it was an easy decision to make the switch.
Im exactly the same
Dec 2021: My Xfinity bill has crept up to $90 monthly. Any insight on breaking down the "taxes and fees" that seem to be hard to find answers for? Conveniently swept under the rug by most ISPs. About to toggle back to AT&T - we seem to yo-yo between both every few years. Now actually researching TMobile for residential wireless.
Go with T-Mobile internet
@@TRUMP-2024 Late 2022, possibly a good bet at this point. Staying with AT&T for now. Got the pricing back down a little and fiber at home.
Thanks for the review. I just got rid of xfinity internet and switched to Tmobile. For $50 monthly I almost tripled my speed from 200mb to almost 600mb. Plus a wifi 6 router was included.

Well I got rid of Tmobile after 9 months of service. I went back to Xfinity. Xfinity gave me the same service at the same price of Tmobile. 300mbs download! My speeds Tmobile suffered greatly after 6 months of service. I was told that they were upgrading my towers. 3 months really? I believe that Tmobile have deprioritized their home internet. In fact, since I have added my mobile phone. My service is cheaper and much more reliable than my old Tmobile.
No more throttling my speed. Now my 4k streaming is almost flawless.
@@Ndugu19 ............you made the right choice, SCUMCAST IS SLOWLY DYING..............GET T-MOBILE AND GET RID OF THE HEADACHES AND BS THEY CONSTANLY PULL!!!!!
I had the T-Mobile. It works great but at times it switches to the band with lower speed which at times make the internet laggy. But yeah T-Mobile internet was really fast.
I left t-mobile today & went to xfinity. T mobile wasn’t connecting out of nowhere to my online gaming so it had to go. When I installed the modem/router instantly my online gaming made a connection & I’m even noticing my streaming apps are moving a lot smoother. I made the switch because it was only $10 extra and I’m get double the speeds I was getting before.
@@Queenie_vxxii yes Cable internet can be better for certain folks. The worrisome thing about TM 5G Home internet is potential congestion as they sign up more people and lower priority given to Home internet.
Can you please do a review on Los Mobile?
I’m usin xfinity Wi-Fi myself its a damn good Wi-Fi its pretty damn fast as well 😃
Xfinity is the choice for you for overpriced internet that will disconnect you while winning on a ranked Rocket League match👍
A lot of xfinity problems that people have is not the internet but the hardware they give, so you might want to check on that to possibly fix the disconnecting problem
Comcast is the cheapest in my area. I never get kicked off online games.
Even though I just signed up for Xfinity internet yesterday, I don't believe they have true Fiber optic internet like Google or AT&T & Verizon FiOS which is 1000 up & down both ways... I don't understand why Comcast aka Xfinity doesn't offer 1000 up & down. 🤔
I had to switch because AT&T in my area only offered 25 mpbs & they haven't upgraded in years which makes no sense to me. Even though I am getting free internet currently because of the connection offer going on, I still needed faster internet then 25 mpbs.
I see Verizon is advertising 5G ultra broadband for home but I don't know how fast that will be compared to fiber optic internet lines by Google or AT&T.
Have you done any videos about in home 5G from Verizon, T-Mobile etc ?
In some markets, Comcast offers true fiber internet service called Gigabit Pro. I think its a symmetrical 2Gbps connection for $300/month. They don't really advertise it that much and you would need to call them to see if they can actually offer you that service at your home. I believe they need to send an engineering team to see if your home is within reach of their nearest fiber node.
@@JJFlores197 Okay, thank you.
@@JJFlores197 very limited location available for that and also super expensive.
Cable carriers are stuck with the coax copper cable limitations and current DOCIS standard…that’s why upload speeds are much lower than downloads. To get much higher upload speeds - you’ll have to wait for when they rollout the new DOCSIS 4.0 cable modem technology which Xfinity has been testing.
Yeah Fiber is the first choice if you can get it such as AT&T, Verizon FIOS, etc. It feels fast because Fiber has low lag/latency and fast symmetrical up & down speeds.
Comcast has an hybrid fiber coaxial connections. Meaning it fiber all the way to the node. Then the node transfer the signal from fiber to coaxial cable that runs to your house. So in a way thier fiber but not 100 percent like fios.
Haven’t had any issues so far with xfinity internet although there customer service is pretty trash sometimes.
Never go with xfinity, the internet constantly disconects and does not work. Not to mention how often they have outages and terrible unreachable customer service. Especially if you work from home this company provides a horrible service that usually doesnt work
In my area, I have AT&T and Comcast. Both are horrible companies, but comcast is just faster in my case. I've had Xfinity for just over 3 years without many issues.
I find that most of xfinitys problems is caused by their terrible hardware, you should probably check your hardware if you are having a hard time with xfinity.
My only goes out if there something goes wrong with wiring that outside of my home. And they typically have it fixed in an hour if that. My comcast went out maybe 2 times in the last 5 years. So not often. But then again I guess it helps I'm only 45 minutes from comcast headquarters in Philly.
It always depends on your location and where you are, the internet is called the internet for a reason and I’m sure there are real reasons as to why you have outages. It doesn’t necessarily mean the service as a whole is terrible and no one should use them, because it always depends on location, customer service is different though so we’ll see.

Better hope a storm doesn't take your cable out. We had to wait six months for them to put the cable back up in the air after Hurricane IAN
Awesome video Sherri, I have Xfinity internet 1200 mbps $70.40 equipment and tax included. We are a gamer house need the speed! In Houston, TX.
sounds like it's perf for ya!
@@whistleout don’t get xfinity always would have to restart router and then they would come and try to trick us into buying Wi-Fi extenders for over 1000 dollars and would just make us pay a lot of money for trash internet for two years.
I literally get 40kbs so I think 25mbps is ok. Plus my internet has a limit of 45 gb a month and it's $100 dollars a month.
Xfinity needs be be Sued in false advertising on speeds and pricing here in Miami. Been with them a month and still have issues with 600 mbps. Only getting 1/3 of my service and customer service is a joke. They are robbing you for upload speeds. Download should be the same as the upload. All there techs are a joke as well they say they fix the issue, but they don't even show up and still charge you.
Has anyone tried the 50 Mbps plan?
It costs more than the 300@Mbs tier. The Gig plan is $10 more than the 50Mbs, Xfinity f's with you.
Reliability and security are the key issues for me.
Also you said they are available im 39 states , what you should have said is they are available in some areas of those states not anywhere in those states.
Alabama too I see it’s not on your list
Perfect timing, during a nationwide outage 😂🤣
lmaoooo guess i need to make a short looking at the other side of Xfinity
What a cutie!
No kidding. She is gorgeous ♥️
wrong, ive gotten this same router it has been the worst decision of my life, i thought i was gettin a upgrade but no every video i watched or every game i played coudnt even load right.

Try to get assistance and everything is half-assed including the extremely broken English of their assistants who must be in India.
I hope Xfinity will be a business that goes out of business in 2024!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m in Spectrum territory
Unreliable
i get 3 mbps calm down
Nothing to do with the video but especially when that is literally the worst thing I’ve ever experienced the Wi-Fi is out every five seconds and being paid for correctly and it’s just complete crap it can’t even keep me in an online game without disconnecting every two seconds or even loading the game… anyway I just wanted to share my experience :)
Xfinity does not offer fiber internet to their regular customers it's only for their business customers for one and for two it costs way too damn much
They actually do have fiber internet for residential customers. Its not very well advertised nor widely available, but its out there. Lookup "Xfinity Gigabit Pro". It used to be a 2 Gbps symmetrical connection, but it looks like they've increased it to up to 6 Gbps bidirectionally. Its expensive at $300/month.
Me who watches this videos daily just to find out that they aren’t available in my region(Nz Auckland
That's a great thing. Comcast is considered among the worst companies in the USA. Depending on your area/luck, you can get any combination of poor service, poor customer service, high prices, random fees they don't tell you about, price increases without notice (sometimes even under contract), etc. Unless you love dealing with that stuff, you aren't missing out on much.
how can you review a service you've never used?
I've paid for Xfinity internet for the past five years, I pay for 100mbps and it's never above 30mbps unless I call and complain, then it's around 100mbps for a day or 2, and back to 30. I've called about this no less than a dozen times over the past 2 years... and the last two times they scheduled a technician to come out where I had to be home for a 2-3 hour window, and both times the technician didn't show up, didn't call, didn't care. Comcast is the most awful atrocity of customer service on the planet. Last time I spoke with them, their suggestion was that I pay more for faster speeds and lock into a 3 year contract with them. Why would I pay for faster speeds when you only give me 33% of the speed I'm currently paying for?
The More Devices U Have Connected The Less Mbps You Will Have. U Can’t Just Have 6 Devices Connected At Once And Expect Ur Internet To Stay 100mbps. For Someone Who Plays Video Games I Automatically Make Sure EVERYTHING Else Is Disconnected From The WiFi When I Play So I get The Best Results, If U Have Multiple Ppl In Ur House Hold 100mbps Will Certainly Not Be Enough. It’s 2 Ppl In My Household And 300mbps Is MORE Than Enough
@@hetoricsyt2317 is there a way to check out how many devices are connected ?
@@orsboo4447 Yeah Thru the xfinity app, u can also pause/resume devices from the internet if the speed to slow

Xfinity internet is an oxymoron. Worse, customer service is non existent. They’re techs are hamstrung by management & supervisors whom have the worst attitudes with no consequences.
I never had a problem with customer service. When bill go up n I call they would give me a choice of promos they was running. Then credit me for my high bill.
During a country-wide outage? Bad timing :P
whats wrong with your eyes they blink
50k+ views and just over 400 likes should be a red flag that xfinity is an awful service. Not to mention that they never mentioned customer service. Because it barely exists. It’s probably the worst experience you could possibly find. They lie to you about your internet speed and always try to get money out of you.
Dont buy this internet, they sold me 200mb internet and I am getting 50mb, I called too many times! They have issue and not trying to fix
DON BUY
LIARS
Never. NEVER! under any circumstances, should xfinity and great be in the same sentence. Bad service, bad customer service, high rates, faulty or outdated equipment, good luck getting the voice remote to understand English (don't know if other languages have the same problem of saying netflix and getting Kevin hart) the 4 technicians that came to fix our xfinity in a mere 6 months, three of them use att and the other guy used direct, even their own employees that get a discount won't use it.
what's a better option?
SCAMMERS
Xfinity LIES about T-Mobile internet lag. I got rid of all Xfinity and now have T-Mobile internet, and have Absolutely no problems. GO WITH T-MOBILE, NOT with Lieing Xfinity.
I'll probably have to give T-Mobile internet another try. I tested it out a year ago and the speed was very inconsistent. I would be getting 100 Mbps and then drop down to 5 and it was all over the place. I tried in various parts of my house and same thing. With Xfinity, I get a consistent 450 Mbps, though it is more expensive.
Lol pay to talk good about them
Xfinity is a another shitty internet service cuz my internet always slowers at night ONLY AT NIGHT
Horrible, terrible service all around. Don’t do it, don’t sign up. Will soon be out of business. Seek other options. Can’t believe anyone would work for such a company. So frustrated with amount we pay for a broken service.
I highly doubt they're going out of business anytime soon as much as we'd like them to.
Xfinity sucks, it's down more than it's up.
