This is a serious issue and many people don't realize how common it is. After it happens to you, you'll always be looking at everything differently, everywhere you go. It's a huge invasion of privacy and absolutely disgusting that people are allowed to buy these spy cameras. Very few people are buying these with good intentions. Go on these websites and look at how many have been sold too.... it's highly likely you've been recorded at some point without your knowledge. There needs to be some type of regulations or laws around these type of devices.
Not sure about the US and UK but in many other places in the world, purchasing or using those "spy camera" akin to those used by law enforcement or any other government agencies to spy on other's is indeed illegal. The issue is that these kind of equipment and devices are so widespread especially with the rise of the internet where people can easily find and buy anything online inconspicuously not to mention you can also order camera modules online to build your own spy camera in any shape and size you could think of.
The spy company : Shit.. now we gotta redesign all these.

I do agree that people can use this stuff for ill gains far too easily, but it is also great for home protection.
When my grandparents passed away, my Dad installed several devices in their house to keep an eye on things as we lived in a different city while he facilitated the clear out and eventual sale. We managed to catch two guys attempting to break in through the conservatory. It was heart wrenching to watch, but without the footage they wouldnt have been caught and convicted.

Super interested! I've always wanted something very close to this, but a little bit more advanced. In addition to this, TARGET TRAPPERS can trace (iOS/Smartphone/Ipad) the phone location history timeline (full) by only phone number and I want to thank them because of them I reached the top of my class and my school gets me grants to full courses for me to learn from and now even though I'm young I'm already starting toward studying for certifications.

Only one problem - devices like Bluetooth speakers or Bluetooth/Wi-Fi remote control mood lights would register positive on that gadget even if they are only what they seem to be. You can also get a socket that has a built-in Wi-Fi extender. Speaking of Wi-Fi: There is plenty of routers and extender that actually do what the look of the device suggest and has a camera in it. So if the bar moves you can''t just assume that somebody is watching/listening. For cameras, I would suggest IR flood light. You would be able to see the reflection in your camera app even in the daylight.Unfortunately I am not sure how could you confirm a presence of the hidden/built in microphone for certain.

I installed a malware blocker on my PC that also stops attempts to turn the camera on. It's been shocking to see how many times I've been notified someone was trying to spy me through.

In theory, all smartphones can be use as a spycam if manufacturers installs a software by the get go (bloatware) and name it as something that's impossible to realize.
Sure, that’s true, but why would anyone do that? No massive tech company like Samsung, Apple, Google, or even smaller ones like OnePlus, Huawei, and Xiaomi would risk massive lawsuits that would inevitably ruin them just to pre-install programs on their phones that would use cameras to spy on people.
Unless you buy a phone from a no-name Chinese brand or something, you have nothing to worry about. Just don’t download any suspicious apps and make sure to scan for viruses every once in a while. In fact, the Play Store does that for you, and the App Store is the most secure app store on the planet.

You know, I've always known that was a thing, people putting spy cameras in restrooms, but I've never understood why. Like if they're looking to get off, a few seconds of someone taking a pee wouldn't do it for me, and I really don't think I'd like to watch anyone taking a shit. So even knowing that people do it, I've never been someone concerned if someone's watching me pee; it's just one of those things I'll do anywhere if I really need to, lol.
