Compressor is programmed to blow off in order to recycle the air in the system if its been standing , this way it deliberately gets hot in order to try to reduce the moisture content in the system. Once the system has enough dry air it remains sealed and simply cycles the same air from struts the resoviour as needed, that venting is normal. Ive run a P85 RWD from new since 2015 no 148,000 miles Im a retired engineer from big auto so have no problem maintaining my Tesla, they are OK to work on and parts often from OEM are cheap and all good quality so interesting to see how you get on my friend......subscribed.
Thank you very much for this information. Now it makes sense. I am so glad that you subscribed and you could possibly help with comments in the future.
@@T.S.CUSTOM works both ways, Id always wondered where the blow off pipe was, you cant see it from above, now I know. Ive done a lot of work on the suspension, basically replacing links when they arrive on Ebay as a pair for 20% of Tesla cost. Makes a big difference to these cars. 2.2 ton low centre of gravity so they corner hard with massive torque and all going through the rear wheels make rubber bushes are tortured and if you use the Tesla hard the car is better to drive if these bushes / links are keep with new ones. Or dont drive so hard...........who wants that? LOL
This will be an interesting rebuild, I hope you can find all the needed parts as second hand good condition and not have to get them new from Tesla, since they will be expensive and hard to obtain. It's a risk that you are willing to take, wishing you best of luck! 👍💪✌
Good luck with the project

@@T.S.CUSTOM Should look into Open Pilot an after market auto pilot system... would be a big upgrade for itr.
