- Why Is The Tractor Supply Mini Jeep So Confusing? They are selling out EVERYWHERE! We have been sent a Mini 125 Jeep and it may be one of the craziest and most fun thing to ride on our property. The Mini 125 is a 125cc 3 speed Jeep style vehicle sold through Massimo's website as well as retailers like Tractor Supply, Company. The MIni Jeep comes in many colors like red, green, blue, sand, etc. With a spare tire and gas can, the look of the mini 125 is authentic and aggressive. We have had a great experience evaluating the mini 125 and have had kids and adults each spend time behind the wheel. The gasoline engine in the mini jeep is started easily with electronic ignition and a choke. Service is very simple and oil changes and maintenance seem like they would be very simple as well. The Jeep comes with military looks and is built tough! With many retailers like Tractor Supply selling thousands of them and high quality scores it is no wonder why mini jeeps are so popular!

I'm 53 and bought one from our local Tractor Supply in central Texas yesterday. Took my 4 year old grandson on our first ride in it this morning. I have to say, I think I had more fun than he did. But, he'll eventually grow into driving it himself. I'm glad that it doesn't take off flying from the get go. Hopefully that's by design. By the way, I'm 6'5" and 260. It pulled us both around the neighborhood with power to spare!
I love this man. Good for you investing in your grandson like that! We are about the same size and I agree, it's got the power to put a smile on your face. That's what matters. Thanks for watching my friend! Enjoy this time with your grandson. He will remember it forever.
I like it ! When I was a kid , I could never afford a go-cart . Now I Can 👍😁
Me too my friend. Didn't have the ability to buy stuff like this as a kid. I'm making up for it now. Appreciate you watching!!!
FUN! Sometimes it’s ok to just have fun!
Absolutely. Somewhere along the way we were programmed to think that buying something for fun is wrong. I don’t agree with that. YOLO.
I got mine from TSC it was stored outside, the hood latches were rusting, a missing blinker on front, couple misc bolts missing, lettering on front bumper were pealing off and most importantly nother electrical worked. I got them to take $500 off and it was already on sale for $2k. The gas can works great, putting gas in it hasn't caused a rusting issue so far but I do plan on getting material to line the take with and I can fill gas tank about 3 times, I'm starting to full time RV and it was a great cheep alternative to a golf cart or ATV
That sounds like a great idea and more economical than a bigger machine. And you are a smart one my friend. I negotiate at TSC all the time!!! They are always willing to work with you to make space. Especially on larger items. Thanks for watching and have fun!
My 80 year old grandma is looking at getting one to pull her trashcan to the end of the driveway or check the mail. Glad to see a good video on it so ill know shes not wasting her money on junk.
Thanks for watching!
I’ve got a 110 atv for my kid and looking to get him one of these as an upgrade. I welded a hitch on that 110 for a lawn trailer and I can get in the trailer and he can take me up our hill. That’s a combined weight of about 375 lbs of awesomeness his little 110 is moving. Can’t imagine how much torque a 125 with gears can do. The seem impressive for such a small engine.
Great Video Joe!
Our new Tractor Supply here in Rogersville Al is supposed to open in the next few weeks. Hopefully they will have some of these in stock.
Thanks Bryan! Appreciate you man. Even if you don’t want one; you gotta test drive it. Just makes you feel like a kid again!
Nice Joe!
Holly is a good sport! I tried to think of a stupid question, but I think you answered them all!!! 😅 Nice work my friend!🚜🇺🇸💪
No stupid questions my friend…only stu--…nevermind. 🤣. What you been up to buddy? Hope all is well!
@@JoeTheFarmer Not too much. Selling tractors and tinkering with the excavator. Videos to follow. Take care!
@tractorrookie you too buddy! A mini ex is on my list for sure. One day…
Thanks!
Happy To Help!
I have the Coolster. I put a hitch on mine. I took the spare tire off and clamped a JD hitch attachment to the frame right behind the bottom of the body. Now my 8YO granddaughter will help with the yard chores.
That sounds awesome! Can you send me a pic of it? Jtfphotoshare@gmail.com
@@JoeTheFarmerSent. I would assume the Massimo would have a similar frame as our Coolster.
@thomabb i got them; thank you! Looks like the Coolster has a metal body? Great setup (and love the Christmas lights!)
@@JoeTheFarmerThe body of the Coolster is plastic. The hitch and the tire mount pass through the body to the square tube frame behind it.
I watched the moab videos they were fun to watch. He put it through it's paces a couple engines. I'm sure most won't do as much as he did.
Dale; I PROMISE I won't do any of that!!! Lol. Would be fun if I had the time, but sounds like something that about 10 min in you regret the decision. Lol. Hope all is well buddy!
@JoeTheFarmer I like adventures the older I get I also like a comfortable bed 🛌.
Right. And a comfortable vehicle. Lol
Yeah Ed March with C90Adventures is known for his over-the-top treks across the world on a tiny Honda and his Mini-Jeep series was just as fun and crazy.
Been watching videos on these mini jeeps and it seems that they like the addition of an oil cooler. For motor longevity.
I don't disagree. Most folks probably put around on them but for extended use, a cooler would be a welcome addition.
Projects 815 channel has a few videos where he uses one to push snow. For what they are, its a fair deal. Don't expect to buy one and just drive the wheels off of it, and have it last very long. You need some mechanical skills, so you can go through it and check things out regularly. Bolts tight, parts wearing, that sort of thing. Oil changes are cheap, they only take a quart.
If purchasing, I would recommend going through it and checking all bolts for tightness, and maybe even using some locktite on them.
They can be used on the road in municipalities where golf carts and UTV's can be registered. Upgraded carbs are available to help them breath easier. With some regular maintenance, your family will enjoy this for years to come.
Thanks for taking the time for a follow up report.
Thanks for watching!
Looks fun!
So much fun!!!
The gas can on the back is an actual real usable. Gas can in the spare tire actually the spare tire they will, but you might have a leak on yours and in the state of Michigan the little jeeps come with a title so you can get them legal for on road.
the only real question im left with is on a full tank how many "mpg" would you say it gets or like how far can you go on a full tank of gas with it loved the vid
Thanks for the kind words! Hard to tell my friend. Really depends on driver size, terrain, etc. Too many variables for me to even guess. What I can say is that it is good on fuel...even with me in it!
I'll stick with my '77 Toyota FJ-40 Landcruiser, thank you very much. Just as fun and I can get way more done with it. But for a granddad with grandkids, I'm sure it'd be a blast.
Can't say I blame you. That 77' sounds awesome!
We got ours from Blaine’s Farm and Fleet for our kids. They run around on the farm with it, basically learning to drive. My wife and I can fit on it together, so two adults isn’t a problem. Our 3 kids fit in it pretty easily and use it like that all the time. Our farm burgers the national forest here in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula so we have ORV tags on it so we take it all I we the place. My littlest is 5 so when her older brothers are trail riding in their dirt bikes I will take her on the mini Jeep and make a family outing out of it. It’s been great in that regard and you are spot on about teaching your kids basic upkeep in stuff like this. My boys can do the oil change on it, lube the chain and the axle bearings. It actually gets a ton of attention too which is kind of amusing. No regrets on this. There are other manufacturers selling similar versions but some have different rear emds and various issues with how they are put together. Ours has been great no issues and used pretty darn hard.
Excellent post; thank you! Appreciate you sharing all of this with the community. I think for the money, they are a great time and make great memories!
On sale at FF right now.
@@Zuxiasunicorn How Much?
@@JTFHunts You tube deleted my link. From $2,999 to $1,999. Down a $1,000.
I looked at that. It's a great deal but it's unassembled. Not sure what that would entail. TSC has it for $2,499 assembled. Just depends if one would want to assemble it themselves. I think it would be fun!
The spare tire rim only fits on the front at least on my Xpro it only fits on front. I love my mini jeep.
That's great information, thanks for sharing. Hope I don't need it!!! Lol. Glad you like it!!! We do too.
@ 1:32. Maybe a different brand mini jeep but " Projects 815 " has a winch and a plow on his. Just an FYI
I’ll check it out! Thanks for watching!!!
We purchase one from Blain's Farm & Fleet over a year ago. We have had quite a few issues with it. The first would be it appears they do not use Loctite on any bolts. Within the first couple days the screws that hold the brake rotor onto the hub vibrated loose a couple of them sheared and one bolt went into the caliper. Shortly after that the spare tire on the back came loose and fell off in the yard... shortly after that the spare gas tank mounting bolts vibrated loose and the whole assembly fell off the back. The two side mirrors vibrate and cracked the plastic body that they are mounted onto. The washers above and below the body are way too small for the leverage of those mirrors as they vibrate going across the grass and creates stress fractures and eventual cracks in the plastic. The company did send me a whole new body but I have to disassemble the Jeep to put it on which I have yet to do. The kids enjoy driving it and we have a manicured lawn but even with that it's lacking enough suspension that it vibrates you quite a bit versus driving a regular ATV
First; love the username! Sorry you had issues. Ours hasn't had any issues yet but I am sure that loctite is a good idea. Appreciate you watching!
Agh, I need one of these now!
So fun!!!
The ones I sell a lot of tractor supply in Michigan. They are 4 Wheel Dr.
That would be amazing!
People never cease to amaze me with the questions ! However , do you know if you can't mount a machine gun on the back ?
🤣🤣🤣. Anything is possible my friend. 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Im going to buy one by summer,im looking at that brand and other brands as well.i couldnt tell by the video but does it have a back bumper on it? You can attack a hitch to the bumper if it has one.
Hey! The thing I think is good about the Massimo is that they assemble them and if you buy it through TSC they will have your back. No bumper that can be used but the frame bar is what I plan to add a small hitch to in a future video. I wouldn't expect it to pull much more than a cart of leaves, etc. It's a small machine. Thanks for watching!!!
@@JoeTheFarmer ok thanks
I have fuel in my can, it is pretty sealed just make sure you leave the vent a little loose. I ran out of gas once and since then I've kept my gas can half full since then. In utah they can be licensed as an ohv, and it is street legal since it has lights a horn and turn signals. Me and my kids love this thing.
Excellent tips. Thank you!
Not available in California. I’d have to drive to Yuma or Vegas to get one. Is there a TSC in Blythe?
Hey! Not sure; would have to google. Appreciate you watching!!!
It's a really cool little machine. Sorry, but I really enjoy reading through some of the crazy comments it generated! 🤣
Me too buddy. Been fun! 🤣
It’s simple, for some it’s affordable, it’s the under dog, and it’s fun..
It’s great like it is or easy to modify if you wanting to make it better , stronger, faster..
great for someone who’s looking to turn wrenches in a more beginner to intermediate capacity..
that’s about it, it is what it is.. a go cart.. enjoy it, fix it, enjoy it some more!!😂
Man this is the perfect post. NAILED IT!!! Thanks for watching!!!
Does it have 24" lift kit option?
Only 36”!!! Lol
@@JoeTheFarmeridk if this is a joke but I really wanna lift mine but idk how to start i have some shock on my amazon list but that it
@josegarza3673 i think lifting it would be really cool…but I wouldn’t be the guy to give advice on that.
Is there a mower attachment for it ?
Only in California.
That's what I want to know, so I can pretend it's practical and have an excuse to buy it...
I saw the original review, and was taken by it. Then I did some research and saw the reviews pointed out really poor reliability and build quality (like, breaking down after only 2 uses). There were enough of them to dissuade me.
Fair enough. I have enjoyed it though. Fun little machine!
@@JoeTheFarmer It looks like it. Like I said, I was very tempted. :) But I get the worst luck with impulse buying expensive toys...
The Jerry can holds gas
Have you modified anything on yours?
Nope. Bone stock
I bought one in Dec and modded the gas pedal stop for speed but I noticed a bad wear grove on one of my rear tires. I used the spare and it works but my tires look more off road than yours I think a new set is in order sometime soon . Thank you for the reply.
@1972FordF100 wow! More speed would be scary. Between you and I; I may be testing a bigger one at some point. I have no clue why, but I love the mini jeeps. So much fun! Appreciate you watching brother.
how fast does this one go? My XPro one tops out at about 45mph.
With me on it, prob 35mph. I wouldn’t want to go any faster on it! Lol
You don’t really believe Texans are assembling this thing do you?
I don't know for sure; and really isn't that important to me. The mini jeep is a blast.
