You put my feelings about Bottega into words, thank you! When the relaunch started, it seemed fresh and interesting. I bought the original black pouch, which I think will stand the test of time and I've worn it a lot. Unfortunately, they got gimmicky. It isn't fresh and interesting anymore, it is the same things tweaked and added onto, often in a way that ruins the original design. The big clunky chain on the pouch is a good example of this. You cannot carry that on your shoulder, and the lovely ruching of the leather is completely lost by the awful chain. I wonder what sales are really like. It seems like you only see influencers with these crazy bags and exaggerated square toed shoes, and you know they're not paying for them.
Totally agree about the Bottega situation, you come to love a bag/shoe and then the next new thing is released! I'd rather spend my money on a timeless classic!

"solely there for the gram" SO true! this is so frustrating, because so many people get FOMO from seeing IG flooded with aesthetically pleasing but essentially useless items. I mean they look SO cute and fun, like you said, but I just wish mindful shopping and reasonable purchases were equally as popular as trend chasing! great vid and love the blazer 😊💖

Agree on all points. See through shoes always remind me of pole dancing shoes (and nothing wrong with pole dancing, it's definitely an art) but Its not the classy/timeless look that I favour. I might just be very boring though 😁

I actually enjoy the energy of the new Bottega. I think the previous intrecciato designs catered to an older crowd, and the new designs come in a beautiful array of colors and experimental designs all the while maintaining the quality leathers they are known for. Sometimes outfits can look to stuffy, and to me, throwing on a Bottega piece exudes a fun, youthful energy. They don't care for being conventionally beautiful items which I think offers an exciting alternative to other luxury brands. I do agree that some pieces look a bit too outlandish, even clownish.

I totally agree with all of your points. The Bottega pouch bag was never on my must-haves list. I recently browsed the boutique and saw a lovely yellow colour they have this season. The SA there showed me a mini version of the pouch bag in yellow which I thought was cute and functional because it also had a shoulder strap. My husband, on the other hand, likes different and in your face designs and insists to get the large pouch. Honestly, I don't love it enough to spend that much money and I also won't get as much use out of it given the climate I live in most of the year (Canada). It's definitely a bag I can do very well without. I can spend that money on something else. You're so right about Bottega churning out these new styles so quickly - I can't keep up!

I totally agree with you in reference to Bottega. I love the brand but I can’t keep up! It’s looking like fast fashion when you constantly coming out with so many different designs yet the same. It is becoming bazaar.
I love open toe pvc shoes! I have A pair of high heal Louboutins sandals that are amazing! (Feet don’t sweat or look scrunched up) 👌🏽

I recently purchased Bottega Tie Bag. And I find it very functional. I really love the mini Jodie but I feel like everyone has it now and I also see lots of fakes online.

Totally agree with the content. but, I did pick up a black suede Birkenstock pair last month...white or black jeans to walk dogs ( brace of Bassets Hounds🧡) here in the south USA. My other pair was in college, so “ living the dream”, 🤨eh!!!!!! Be Blessed 👍

I agree with you in all the points. About the transparent shoes, the Amina’s also have a very bad quality! They are manufactured in a very cheap way, you can see the glue between the sole and the plastic or cloth.. horrible. I am astonished with the price and “hype” of the brand. Absolutely pure marketing and influencer world. Out is “real world” in my opinion. I will never wear, in one of my business meetings, family or friends events... Any of the items you speak about.

I adore Jacquemus, but this bag I don't understand too, even the big version of Chiquito looks strange and useful as well because of the handle. And what about the Chanel sandals - I choosed the Stella Mccartney Eclypse sandals, which have the same style, look even more trendy, but have much more friendly price)

Omg the transparent shoes. I had a pair a few years ago that had a small pvc trim that I wore to their actual death LOL. However the fully transparent shoes I could never get with but I could never pinpoint why. Now I realize, it’s bc they’re tacky AF

I have such conflicted feelings about Daniel Lee's BV. Although I love the chain cassette, I won't be getting them because I know that the big chunky chain is a trendy that will surely look dated in a few years. Literally as I'm typing right now, I'm also looking at the website and they released a "men's version"- the padded tech cassette, which is a nylon version of the bag. The padded backpack, the squash tote, etc., it's all overwhelming. I might just pick up the (non-chain) padded cassette on the preloved market in a previous season's colorway.
I think the new colorful metallic unicorn Chanel bags flooding my instagram feed are a big mistake. One, coated metallics are prone to flaking. Two, I can only speak for myself, but I would get tired of that (very expensive!) bag within a few years. It's something that people will likely grow out of. Absolutely agree your points. I hate getting constantly spammed on instagram with the bottega veneta bags and shoes. I don't like the styles, especially the chunky chains. I love your chatty opinionated videos! You are so great on camera. I would love to be that natural in my videos. Also, that blazer is a beautiful color on you!
I actually like all of Bottega designs. I think they do look quite timeless (the arco the pouch)however the fact that there are so many China dupes on the market it makes me hesitant to buy.

Ich frage weil ich deine Meinung sehr schätze (habe auch einen luxury channel auf englisch deswegen setze ich mich auch mit Designer Dingen auseinander) und ich liebe deinen Schmuck so sehr 🤍 Vorallem wäre ich interessiert an dem just un clou ring den du trägst weil ich bereits 2 ringe von Cartier besitze und auch diesen Ring in Erwägung ziehe:) meine Fragen, z.b wären ob er Fäden bei einem strickpulli zieht und ob man ihn gut layern kann mit anderen Ringen 😊
Agreed on everything, especially new Bottega, I would much rather pick up some vintage intrecciato pieces in classic designs than pay the extortionate prices for all these new models! Re: Jacquemus however, they have released the Chicquito in two larger sizes (that actually fit a phone and other essentials!) and I am seriously tempted ;)

Bei Bottega Veneta stimme ich dir leider vollkommen zu. Irgendwie ist aus den Luxusmarken die eigentlich auf die Qualität und das Design setzten sollten, eine Art Fast Fashion Industrie geworden. Mir fehlen neue Ideen in der Mode, neue Ideen und Designs und vor allem Ansätze wie wir in Zukunft bewusster mit unserer Umwelt und den Materialien umgehen.Ganz schlimm finde ich die gepuschte Instagram Werbung von Marken wie Dior. Ich bin ein wenig aus diesem Trend ausgestiegen und versuche mir bewusst Teile auszusuchen die gut hergestellt wurden, die klassisch sind und die eine Weile halten.

The plastic parts of the shoes actually gets more comfortable and looser when it get warmth from the body, I never knew. So it’s not that uncomfortable as I thought they were

Completely agree on BV... it’s a shame though because The Pouch design feels quite elegant and timeless.
