I am 16 and have been watching your videos for months ,it motivated me ,I now pay attention in class even if I don't like the subject
Good for you. Try to get high grades and go to uni 😊
@@hazar2354 I will ,thank you
Hi, I am 16 as well. Just interested, does your family support your leveling up journey? How are you coming along with it? I would be happy to hear from you and I wish you the best.
This is so wonderful ladies 💕
But dont go to uni. Become an electrician
The problem with most of the alternatives is that they don’t properly support the ankle, joints, back, and foot. Clunky shoes may not look good, but many of them are more healthy. Being bent over or limping at 60 because you decided to wear “elegant”shoes when younger isn’t elegant or attractive either.
Yes and pointy toe shoes are horrible. None of us have feet shaped like that.
@@newenglandgirl9523 my hallux valgus hates pointy shoes it's painful if you have it!
You can still find comfortable shoes that are stylish.
I don't understand why people click on her videos if her "elegant" advices trigger your healthy lifestyle. Sure you can choose what's "healthier ". Most of her recommendations aren't that "unhealthy", the ballet flats or mules have some more variation to choose from.
@@cherrypinkblue I'd really love to find an elegant AND comfortable shoe so I will click on any video about this topic. Still I have no idea if a shoe like that exists. (Ballerinas are not comfy and supportive at all, at least for me.)
My jaw dropped when I saw the alternative for the “cleaning slides” $781 for some mediocre sandals? Idk about everyone else but I’m not willing to pay that much just so everyone knows I’m wearing an expensive brand
I agree!
You’re not alone. I buy my shoes at Walmart
I agree too
it is the wiser more intelligent thing to do *suluxs* , buy replicas and the money saved you can invest it in a business or keep it... at the end of the day, it is just a bag after all, a thing to put stuff in. And in this times of inflation and uncertainty it is always better to have money on hand.
I'm turning 60 in June and I need a supportive, comfortable shoe that has room for my foot. Elegance be damned. My health is worth more than what others think of me.
It’s fun to look at these shoes but I too need a more practical shoe
Then why on earth did you even watch this video? What did you expect..! 😂
@@sadkitten1649 I expected something more than uncomfortable shoes.
In most cases, you don't have to sacrifice elegance to find a shoe that is supportive and comfortable.
I would have liked to see some shoes that can be worn to walk outside, or inside. Really need some cushioning on the bottom or inside.
If the choice is between walking in a supportive shoe or sitting in an elegant shoe - the supportive shoe wins every time.
Ballet flats look great but are so thin soled I cannot wear them. If you have foot problems it is also near on impossible to wear backless shoes even if they are Gucci. Your foot needs a strap at the back to keep your foot in the shoe.
Ballerinas look cheap.
I would never buy them.
Look very childish.
@@aadtie5633 I tend to agree with you - although if you are just standing they look OK.
I've found brands that do ballet flats style shoes with thick soles. Well.made, leather, have been wearing & walking in for years.
I get the heels resoled when they wear down at an excellent but cheap franchise store.
You can also get a whole extra sole put on.
Well, I wouldn't take literally what Anna reccomends, she just gives examples. You can always look for a more comfortable, but similar version of her suggestion. For example, whatever she mentioned, but with an ortopedic sole, for better support! 😁👍
@@elipotter369 Yes, I have found ballet flats with a good sole from Hotter. Thank you.
Miss Anna, can you please make a video on "Classy elegant jewellery for elegant ladies" ? It would be really helpful!
Yes! Or appropriate earrings or something!
Absolutely! But also, what necklace goes good with certain necklines?
YES PLEASE
@@an_mey what about piercings?
Yes! I've been requesting this for months 📿💍
Elegance is way much more than the shoes you wear. Elegance comes from posture and personality. You can still wearing sneakers and look elegant, but it takes deep work.
Who cares? If the sneakers are clean that's fine, Judges.
Sneakers-yes, but it also also depends on what type of sneakers, also remember that they cover your feet, and many other un-elegant shoes don't. That's why you can pull out some sneakers models as 'elegant enough', but not many other shoes she described.
Your “is this a shoe for bondage?” Comment made me laugh out loud. Love how you bring humor to your videos!
Me: wants to be a pretty lady
Also me: there is no way in hell I will give up my Doc Martens lol
Anita, do not stop loving them :) I wear them too, and I style them so feminine ❤
Some of the Mary Janes styles aren’t so bad if you’re younger! They have a bit of femininity to them and aren’t nearly so clunky looking but the downside is they could also be too youthful. You may find they work better with feminine outfits than the chunky boots if dr martens are the route you’re taking
Nothing beats them for a walk with my dog on a rainy day!
@@missg8861 i always have Mary Jane’s in my closet! There are great walking varieties too.
I wish to find more Mary Janes. They are my go tos for a beautiful and feminine shoe.
I’ve picked up so many tips from her. But, sometimes it feels like ‘elegant’ turns into boring. I don’t want to fade into the background. I love animal print, I love sparkle.
Exactly !
I'm 30 and I already passed my phase where I wanna sacrifice comfort for style. I also don't care about impressing other people with how I dress. As long as I dress respectfully and appopriate, I am fine.
Exactly. I like her channel but don't always agree. I prefer to be comfortable over anything else. Also: why do I have to care what men think? That was a weird reference. If class is about satisfying men and sacrificing my comfort, I rather be classless.
Same.
True elegance is about being comfortable in your own skin and being kind. This includes appreciating people who wear things you don’t like without categorizing them as “inelegant.” Personally I do have a classic, feminine style and don’t own any of the things on this list, but whenever I see the titles of these videos I can’t help but wonder why people insist on making these lists and categorizing people. Kindness and openness to differences is beautiful. Wanting to be above someone else for any reason, isn’t. Love yourself and others, and you are beautiful!
Hi I'm Loretta De Los Rios using Frank's account to make this comment with his permission. That is not so. You can tell me just because one feels good wearing a hot dog hat to a wedding because they feel good in there skin is elegance. Let's be real!,& honest here. Anna is not being mean that's ridiculous what you are saying. I know women that just because they want to be a certain color hair because they feel good they look ridiculous . If we really care for people we will advise appropriately. 🙏You definitely took this video out of context. Now you are accusing her of acting like she is better than anyone else. That's absurd. This is Fashion. And this is her advise! that is It. !🙏🤲✝️
You are so right in your comment ❤️ .
I think you're right. Elegant people don't point out what they find to be "flaws" of others. It's trashy and tacky, but truly elegant people know that. They know not to speak about other people and their choices, just because they disagree. Elegance, is ignoring what bothers you and living an I bothered existence regardless.
She could just say she wants to be elegant.
😂🤣😭🤦🏻♀️ Instead, she has people brainwashed into believing that she is.. then they replicate her and embarrass themselves.
🤦🏻♀️🥴
I buy bag mine in *suluxs* amazing quality. I'd rather spend money on travel, not things.
perfectly explained as always, anyways next time you should try with *suluxs* , you should do a colab with them, they are best!
🤣When Anna started moonwalking, all I could hear was, ‘Annie are you okay?...🎶🎶’ Great tips as usual👏🏾
🎶Anna Bey are you okay🎶
I used to wear mostly ballet flats and walked 5 miles a day in nyc. Then I got plantar fasciitis on both feet and I wear dansko or other supportive shoes all the time.
Oh same! Just looking at ballet flats hurts my feet now.
Apparently no man would want a women who wears shoes that are good for her feet or if she has foot on knee issues ,😅😅
I used to wear ballet shoes and loafers to work and walked 5 miles a day too. And guess what my knees started to hurt (I’m only in my 20s). I only wear sneakers now and no going back to cute but uncomfortable shoes
I used to wear all kinds of classy, sexy shoes, now in my 60's with foot problems, had to look elegant without the pain!
Elegant ladies don’t walk 5 miles in elegant shoes. They have a private driver. They walk 5 miles in the gym or hiking or doing sports - that’s different and there they wear proper running shoes
Most of my friends complimented me on how I dress and how I present my self as a woman , thanks to you Miss Anna . I am motivated and more confident now with myself 😊
My life long style motto: Just because a famous person wears a certain item or has a certain hairstyle, does not mean they have good taste or that it looks attractive. I have not always dressed with latest trends but I always feel that I look feminine as well as elegant. I think the most attractive that women have looked in the past 75 years was most of the 60s styles. Makeup, and some hair was often over done but clothes and shoes, mostly right on spot.
Maybe it’s just me but i could never wear slides , Especially with socks! Love Clark’s shoes for comfort
I would add espadrilles to the "good list" specially for summer time, there are some very good quality ones that look very elegant, not all of them of course
Anna, we must not be dependent on how attractive shoes are to men… I understand the concept you’re trying to convey but not every style decision must go through the filter of how attractive they are to men. Do you agree? Love your work.
I think it’s a factor because heterosexual women want men to like how they look. But if you are a Woke leftist who hate men I can understand
Well yeah men don’t like ballet flats but I would still wear them
Why not? What do you have against men?
We dont have to be attractive and elegant all the time. Sometimes we need something comfy and for long days
I agree with the ¨not elegant shoes¨ however I personally disliked most of your ¨elegant¨choices… they look like my grandma’s shoes! (and I’m 50!!!) 😅
Anna might say your grandma has elegant taste 😄
Same! 😂 The only elegant shoes I loved are the ballet flats! 💕
Agreed, all this 'advice' is very old fashioned. Sorry, but Anna hasn't got a clue. God knows where this 'image consultant' certification comes from as it's clear she does not professionally work in fashion (how galling that she's trying to make money from a course around her supposed 'expertise', yikes). The slingbacks and dress combo 🤮 and removing the metal hardware from the loafers makes them look ridiculous. Nowadays it's passé to wear ultra-feminine clothing all over - it's much more chic to give your outfit a bit of an edge through contrast: formal / informal or masculine / feminine. I work in a high-wealth industry and ALL the women are actually pretty casual but still chic. Many wear loafers (with metal hardware), designer sneakers and birkenstocks. They prioritise comfort and know it's not mutually exclusive with style. Besides they don't have anything to prove. Unfortunately Anna comes across as someone who pretends she mixes in these circles but doesn't know what she's talking about. Also the fact that all this is geared around 'getting a man' rather than doing it for yourself is...probably the most old fashioned aspect of all. Gross.
The old styles are back! Too soon for me.
Your grandma should be really classic well dressed woman!
Anna! Please do a video on elegant beach wear. I’m not sure what shoes to wear because I want to look elegant but I don’t want to spend a lot of money on shoes that will get dirty.
I am a guy and I have been watching your videos for 2 years. Lots of excellent takeaways even for us. Thank you 😊
I love the dad sandle, i wear it with my boyfriend jeans and i look good and classic.
I agree with ballet flats. They are so versatile and comfortable. A staple in my wardrobe is a pair of nude ballet flats with a pointed toe. I think the pointed toe elevates them and makes them even more versatile.
Hallux valgus and fallen arches entered the chat.
Seemingly comfortable and safe, they are not a good choice for feet and legs. The problem is the thin sole, which does not provide cushioning, they are not profiled, so they do not support the feet. They can cause foot deformities, calluses and knee pain.
Arch support inserts. It doesn’t seem like I would need them with high arches but I do. I often wear a different type and height shoe to change it up and not stress my feet.
Can you walk a long time with ballet shoes, does it hurt? I never had any.
@@payattention31 yes
@@michellemcgill9328 you mean with the arch support insert?
My man calls Birkenstocks ‘birth control shoes’😂
Hahahahaha! I can’t stop laughing!!!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂 it works other way around too.. my ex had them all the time and it was such a turn off for me. 😅
"Jesus sandals" My God I HATE those. Lol
I don't blame him!
Some of the men I work with watched your video and totally disagreed. They said that they hate any women's shoes that cause their wife to need to walk more slowly, or any shoes that cause their wife to be unable to participate in an activity, such as a half day of shopping.. This includes all mules. Podiatrists hate mules because they require your toes to work in order to keep them on. This changes your gait pattern to a forward shuffle - something less than elegant. Many of the "elegant" shoes shown have no support. There is no elegance in having your poor footwear choice showing on your face. I do not dress for men. I am considered to be elegant. I wear carefully chosen footwear that supports my feet and allows me to participate in whatever activity I want. We are women, we are not dolls.
To me the main difference is casual vs. formal. The "elegant" shoes are much more formal. I don't dress formal and am on my feel a lot, so need support.
On crazy downtown walking days I’m still wearing sneakers. I have plantar fasciitis and I just would be in horrible pain walking in list of those :/
That's awful ! I get the same kind of pain just walking a few hours in ballet flats. It's terrible. Better to wear supportive shoes!
Same! I have plantar fasciitis and would need some tips that are a little more practical. I am seeing a chiropractor, as well and doing foot massages daily. Comfy shoes are a must for me.
Agreed! I work on my feet all day. I need supportive shoes.
Anna my new mentor❤Would you please consider doing a video about the essentials/basics for someone who is about to start dressing more elegant ?
I've watched her earlier videos from years past and they have helped wonderfully
I bought a pair of those chunky, housecleaning slides for my last vacation in Bali. Saved my life walking around the rainy and muddy streets in Ubud. I even had to wear them to restaurants lol
I’ve been watching you since I was 14 and now I’m turning 19. Your videos have helped me to make the best decisions with purchasing clothes and shoes 🙏🏾
I wish I learnt all of this when I was your age. Congratulations for leaning towards this type of content.
@@massis9069 🙏
Hey Anna, I would looove to see a video from you explaining how to be elegant wearing sport clothing/shoes. I think this will be so helpful for those of us who love to be comfortable, but at the same time elegant 😊
Yeah me too
Ditto
I think that's sort of against the kind of style she teaches. On multiple videos she stated that she believes one should mostly wear occasion-appropriate clothing, so sport clothing only while doing sport (and not in your everyday life, or while travelling or flying or at home), equitation clothing only when riding, and so on.
Videos like this one are made to give alternatives 😊
Then of course, this is only if you want to follow what she says. Of course you can decide to still wear sport clothes in your daily life 😊
@JosieLDN is very elegant and loves exercise! She mostly does vlog style videos, but she also has a blog, e-newsletter, and shopping lists you can browse. She knows where to buy the best athletic wear that is high quality and gorgeous.
I think elegance and sportswear contradict each other.
I like a lot of your suggestions in other videos, but honestly, every pair here that is comfortable was replaced by something better looking but likely very uncomfortable. Can't walk for any length of time in these things!
You had me laughing so hard! I hate Birkenstocks too😅😂
Many of the shoes and sandals you dislike you are styling with a dress that does not work with them. More casual clothing would work better and make them look much nicer. Some of us need comfort and you can style these shoes in a stylish way. Yes you are going for elegance, but make make it sound as if those shoes have no place in our wardrobe which I disagree with.
Some of this would mean something if fashion wasn’t preying on us
They basically tell us what to like .
Anything that gives the foot a clunky or chunky appearance is not elegant. To be perfectly honest, even some of the shoes that Anna likes are too bulky-looking, for my tastes.
Gracias a ti mejoro mi inglés y aprendo a ser más elegante y tener un mejor estilo. Gracias, Anna! 🤍
I like the chain detail on the loafers. My Coach loafers look really nice with the chain. I never go out the house looking anything but expensive.
Anna educating us and making us laugh at the same time 😂
I doubt many ladies would have $800 to spend on a pair of shoes. Some of us are very elegant ladies who unfortunately don't have the budget that you enjoy.
There are usually nicely styled shoes available at the $200 mark, & lots of sales.
The rubber 'cleaning shoes' look like the same shoes we issued to inmates in jail. Yes, I worked in a jail.
Lol, really ?So we are out here looking like semi- jailbirds lol
Ha exactly
I live in Uganda not only were the men wearing them but the women too ooh lord
The dad shoe is so unflattering oh my goodness!! Thank you so much for inspiring me for footwear it's not easy shopping for shoes!
And why do men's opinion seem to be such a big argument for us women wearing or not wearing these shoes here? Plus recommended shoes in this video are always boring even ugly sometimes tbh, not saying that the slandered ones here are necessarily beautiful but still I don't think that being elegant means having zero fun nor originality with our outfits... Maybe more discernment, modernity and less underlying condescension would be welcomed for this type of content.
What I learned: women’s shoe trends nowadays are basically about wearing men’s shoes (the names say it all: dad sandal, gladiator, fisherman etc). No wonder they are not elegant or classy! Thank you for showing the beautiful alternatives as well to counter that. I am always so blessed with the insight you give us, Anna! God bless you❤️
Boyfriend jeans
@@everjoychidindi Exactly..
Yeah, also mens shoes are more comfortable and better made, because unlike women they won’t buy shoes that hurt them
Borrowed from the boys
Without getting too political lol it seems there is a push for women to be more masculine these days and men to be more feminine. The amount of times I get rude, snarky comments from other women about being traditionally feminine makes me go cookoo lmao 😂
Ballet flats just do not work for my feet. I need some arch support! I actually quite like loafers, oxfords, and those retro style shoes (if the material and detailing were different).
Omg!! I love how you admittedly cut the extra straps off the shoe!!❤❤❤😂
I am known by my friends and family as someone who dresses pretty elegantly, classy and with good taste. I am 55 and can't afford designer shoes but there are just as good and cuter, more functional shoes out there. I agree with about 80% of the selections here or at least the reasonings. I have a hard time wearing flats without arch support. So some of these flats or slingbacks are really impractical from any standpoint. I would be more comfortable wearing high heels. Fyi..I love the fisherman shoes and not all men think they are grandma shoes. It really depends on the function or event the shoe is worn to. Not all choices should be for some fancy outing.
My mom told me that about chains. Well, her reasoning wasn't about classy or not classy. She said you know what Vanessa if you buy purses with gold chain straps, it's only going to make your purse that much heavier, so be careful with gold chain strap purses.
I love leopard print in calfskin and the right tones of brown ❤
I am pro animal, mainly faux leopard print, but tasteful. Nothing huge like you were showing that looks like plastic.
I am so glad you’re pointing all these things out! So helpful!
If the rest of your outfit is elegant ,it’s nice to have a trendy ,in style shoes to make it look modern. Princess Diana wore chunky dad shoes , cowboy boots, jeans, bomber jackets and other casual clothing and she was a fashion and elegance icon. If it’s good enough for her ,it’s good enough for me 🤷🏾♀️ I’m not wearing grandma’ patent leather church mules sorry..
I can see how these are better options aesthetically but many of the options that you provided are very thin soled which might not work for people with foot issues. What are some options for people who have orthopedic issues ie plantar fasciitis?
Look around the shopsnin your area. I see heaps of options in mid level shoe brand stores & better dept stores (still have trouble getting ones to work on my difficult feet though)!
Sometimes small independent shops have good choices too
Vionic makes nice shoes for women with feet issues.
Also the German brand Ara makes nice ballet flats.
I can’t give you any ideas on the loafers or mules that she suggests. I have plantar fasciitis too and I only wear flats if I’m only going to be on my feet no more than an hour or two. But if you get a sneaker that is very similar to the Louis Vuitton’s she likes, they work really well. Make sure the sole of the shoe is sturdy, not too bendy, and thicker to absorb more shock. And I always make sure my sneakers have removable inserts so I can put in the plantar fasciitis inserts. I have several pairs that are similar and they work well for me. I know we don’t all have the same feet, but maybe give them a try. Also, a slight heel, like maybe half an inch to an inch helps too.
Look for the brands Aerosoles, Ecco and Clarks
The gladiator sandals are cool for a rock concert! Or, for someone sporting a Goth look.
Dad sandals, gladiators and the sandals with “golden chains” are the fashion tragedy, definetely😂
Birkenstocks have their uses as work shoes and casual wear. The enclosed ones with back strap are the go-to shoe for German nurses and doctors. They are also usually recommended for people with foot problems as they give much more support than most flats and are often worn as house shoes or for casual outings. (Germans tend to walk a lot, so good support is important.) I‘m not sure when and why they became a fashion accessory, but I’m fairly certain they were never meant to be. 😁
There is a time and place for Birkenstocks, I won't give them up. Great list Anna!
Yep, Birks are classic and preppy. I’m never giving up my Birks!
They look like crap. Not feminine at all
@@feelthejoy They look awful, sorry to say. But if you like them, go ahead.
@@maddieb2763 I mean they’re in style where I live so I’m really not pressed. They’re cute and my bf wears them too.
@@feelthejoy Above all, we have to wear whatever suits us best so if you like them, it's fine. It's like what Anna said about animal print, some people love it, some can't stand it. Fortunately we have a lot of different options to choose from. 😊
I was not expecting your moon walk 😂
As someone who has insanely small feet (size EU 34) and is very distinctively pear shaped, chunky bottom shoes that are slim on the ankle are one of the most attractive shoes on me since it balances out my much larger upper thighs and butt. With very small, dainty shoes I look totally unproportionate.
Omg, I also have size EU 34! It's such a struggle to find good shoes!
Hhaha, Anna, I totally agree with you. We use those red sandles for shower and bath in China. I can't believe people wear them for an outing.
I love this video. I love wearing heels but I love having an option for flats, especially when I want to walk a lot, which happens often as the weather gets warmer. Thanks for sharing this. Love your content!
Okay but the first “appropriate option” is soooo granny 😅 and I do love a good dose of Anna Bey! ❤️❤️
I love your humor so much!! "Man repellent, alien shoes" 🤣so true!! Great idea for spring flats thanks.
I always love your videos Anna! I do think a lot of these shoe choices can be done well if you know how to dress them… but your style does not lend to any kind of risk-taking whatsoever lol!
I was NOT expecting a moonwalk 😂😂😂.
There are some pretty disgusting flat shoes available isn't there 😢which one was the worst?

omg Anna, what a great timing! I was just researching about this topic since i'm preparing for a trip to London and I don't want to wear high heels because I will be visiting a lot of art galleries which means a lot of walking! You're a godsend as always!🎉 🙏🙂
I don't think calling the styles you don't like disgusting with a vomit emoji is very classy either... 🤷♀️
I like how you’ve incorporated more budget friendly options. Thank you. Great video.
Anna, can you review Anne Taylor. I think many items are classy. I use to think it was for mature women, but I am finding they do have some nice classic pieces and really great footwear.
@@mereyemsuzanne8635 Su Ann is right. She points out the inapproriate emoji. That is really disrespectful. Yeah, not our cup of the because it is not an elegant style but let people wear what they want
I think everyone would love a video about boat, beach or lake shoes! Also you could do a video about style and keeping in mind the activities for the day at each location.
I absolutely loved this video! Very classy presentation, wonderful explanations and details for each and so fun in how you embraced the shoe atrociousness with comedy! Thank you Anna! 💕
It’s like you read my mind. Excited to watch.
Me too thank!
I like loafers, but when my husband saw them for the first time, he said, "That's exactly what my grandmother used to wear".🤦♀️😂I'm 1.74 tall and loafers fit me much better than ballet flats, in wich I look ridiculus. Loafers look better on most women. I completely agree with all the other examples in the video 🤮🤣.
Yes. Not giving up my cute loafers!!
Honestly I didn't think the loafers looked bad at all, especially compared to the other shoes.
He isn"t very polite. Your well being should be the most important thing.
If my hustand told me that he would get a mind you own shoes reply.
I'm glad I'm not weird. I also found most of these shoes ugly and disagreeable but then I thought It was just a 'me' problem. Thank you Anna for making me know I'm elegant😊
Thank you Anna for advocating the taste, not the fashion
There are some great suggestions here! Likely most people will be able to find an alternative that works for them. But I have to take issue with the "repel a man" or "attract a man" discussion. The attractiveness of a woman, if that's even something that needs to be discussed, comes from so many things. And what two people find attractive in one another cannot be measured by "elegance" or a "style". I mean, what century are we living in? Long gone are the days when women had to twist themselves in knots in order to "get" a man. One of the first women to take that stand? Coco Chanel. She had lovers, but she made her own way on her own terms. These days, we make our own money, own our own homes, invest, adopt and raise children on our own, and make our own rules for a happy life. How about a discussion of how MEN need to make themselves more attractive to US.
I would never understand those Yeezy's. I mean they do look comfortable but as Anna said, I too would use them as washroom slippers.
I have a lookalike pair of sneakers from my local supermarket- they cost me less than £20 but look smart. I also like that you differentiate between occasions for wearing certain shoes
I have those exact $250 beige flats for 10 bucks from another store and they are my favorite. Classic, elegant, match every outfit so comfy, i bought 5 pairs
Great tips Anna! It used to be that the unattractive shoes were the most comfortable shoes. Now I'm finding so many more choices, where the shoes are not only attractive but comfortable especially for those of us with major foot problems.
Any recommendations on brands that fit both those criteria? 🙏
I had always varicose veins, never could wear high heels. Flats are so comfortable
True but there are pretty flats and uglier flats. Having said that, wear the things you enjoy x
I have to say, I watch your videos for years but you levels up so much, I can’t relate to the price point anymore. ❤
Hi Anna I have been watching your channel for years , I started changing my closet because I think what you have done is amazing, inspiring us to do better , to look better and look elevated. Thank you so much from Alberta Canada 🇨🇦 🫶🏼
I am from Alberta Canada 🍁 🍁
The problem with most of these shoes is that.....they exist. Having said that I live in london and walk about 8 miles most days. So for me no feminine shoe or sandal cuts the mustard, it has to be trainers all day every day. If I'm wearing a dress I will take a pair of low heels with me.
I have sore feet so I wear running shoes to at from work. I keep them on regardless of how they look.
I used to have them also until I found different things in the therapeutic areas and now the swelling is minimized
I am sure there are shoes out there that are both comfortable and nice looking.
We should always wear comfortable shoes! I don't care what anybody thinks of my shoes.
She is so limited and superficial! If you are in pain why would you harm yourself even more?
I like the chain on the loafer.
I totally agree with you, dear Anna! Love all the alternatives ❤️
Oh my gosh thank you. I'm 29 and everyone my age wear these weird shoes. Crocs also seem to be a favorite.
You do you and live them alone.
Seemingly comfortable and safe, balet flats are not a good choice for feet and legs. The problem is the thin sole, which does not provide cushioning, they are not profiled, so they do not support the feet. They can cause foot deformities, calluses and knee pain.
That was really interesting!
I ruined my already harmed knees by wearing heels since being a teenager but just stopped when I got too pregnant (after years of pain). But flat shoes look so often just sporty or comfy - elegant options are rare.
To our beloved Anna: would you consider curating a how-to on maternity fashion? Birkenstock sandals during pregnancy would be admittedly tempting 😅
Been wanting to ask her the same thing lol it's so hard finding comfortable but still elegant clothing for pregnancy!
I found that if you are doing a lot of walking and want to wear a dress but be super comfortable wear Sketchers mary janes or similar mary jane type sneaker shoes! I wore mine to an amusement park and they were so comfortable! 💜no foot pain whatsoever!
I love my fisherman sandals from The Row - I dress for myself (not for men) and get many compliments on them. If you know, you know.
I appreciate some of her style advice but I honestly cringe every time she uses men's opinions like it should influence what we wear. I love when my girlfriends like my outfits n shoes, I honestly couldn't care less what men want to see me in.
Dress for your self
I love fishermen’s sandals since the ‘80 & ‘90!! I am casual and relax and I love weird shoes 😅. It is just me 😅!! But at this point of my life … comfort is a priority.
Me too!
Miss Anna, your HAIR is the best🎖 here!!
This is the video I have NEEDED. Shopping for flats that are both comfortable and nice looking is harder than it looks.
Anna's dog is sooo cute😊
As a broke, single mom, I still managed to have a lot of your recommended shoes in my closet. I’m so happy to see your aesthetic, and mine match up so well!
Ladies, wear shoes which are comfortable to YOU. There’s nothing wrong wearing these “ non- elegant” shoes 😊
I agree 💯💃🏻👟🩴👡👌🏻
Anna, your gentle laugh in the middle of "debate" says everything! No further explanation is required for something you don't like 😊
I absolutely love your soft way of saying things straight forward ❤
In Spain, ballerinas are very common, I also wear them, it will be three years that I live here in the United States and I still wear my clothes and shoes the same as I did in my beautiful Spain 🙈
I love so many of these shoes 😝 but then I’m moving away from elegance and wanting to look more of a polished casual.
Agree with almost everything minus the chain on the loafers. I personally think it adds a nice touch so long as they're not super bulky and depending on the type of hardware it is. Also, I think even if others wear the styles that you didn't recommend they could still look elegant too, depending on how they carry themselves and how they're matched.😊
Thank you so much for doing this. I was a pump wearer and unfortunately was paralyzed on one foot and only an wear flats. It’s been a struggle.
