@@MariaChristinaBari She did make multiple faux pas in the past but her determination to become better is admirable and I do appreciate that she is honest about it. 😊
Anna!!! I cannot believe you roasted yourself here! so funny and elegant at the same time! I love how you do not put down anyone else but you put yourself as an example, you're so mature and confident, love it! love it!
I wish my mom had this mindset. I do my makeup like this while my sister goes a little more bold and draws on pretty eyeliner and applies more blush… so my mom compares me to her and says I look sloppy bc I look like I dont have makeup on… it’s annoying.
@@luzm3319 I'm sorry to hear that but don't feel bothered about it! The important thing is that you like you how appear when you have makeup on and that's the end goal, isn't it? Everyone has different preferences.
Anna, I'm not sure what has changed, but you come across as so much more relatable and funny over the past few months or maybe the past year! I feel like your true INNER BEAUTY shines bright like a diamond now and I'm living for it! Thank you for all the work you do for us to be elegant ladies!
When she started, she came off rude, and she read the comments, so she made changes because she was losing subscribers. Now, she frequently reminds us that she made these mistakes to make herself relatable. Smart!
There is a nice quotation by Mrs. Estée Lauder, the founder of the eponymous cosmetics house: “Your makeup should never precede you but walk with you.” It is a timeless piece of advice that benefits any lady of any age. A great deal of what constitutes elegance is about forming good habits: polishing shoes regularly, mending clothes regularly as well as cleaning and pressing them, getting enough sleep and good grooming. I take a few hours once a week to wash and deep condition my hair, do a home manicure, put on a face pack to clean and refresh my skin, mend clothes and so on. I use that time to relax, listen to music, watch a film or just pause and think. It is a routine I established when I was young and I still follow it more than forty years later. I highly recommend this to other ladies and girls too.
I KNOW there's going to be a lot of triggered people with the coloured hair point!! What folks need to remember is that Anna talks about a VERY specific aesthetic designed to appeal to a very specific kind of person. If you don't care about appealing to or fitting in with those people don't worry about it! (There are also groups of people who would be turned off by how she dresses, finding it "boring" or "bourgeois"!) I myself am very into personal colour analysis and what you discover when you learn about someone's best colours is that their natural, as-it-grows-from-their-scalp hair colour is basically always the best, most flattering and harmonious hair colour for them *if they are also wearing their own best colours.* Funky coloured hair is designed to make a statement, same as strong, colourful makeup, and in classic or natural aesthetics like Anna's you want your whole self to be the statement, not the clothes, jewels, hair, or makeup. That doesn't make either wrong, they are just different approaches with different effects and we can all appreciate different things. No need for hate or hurt feelings!
@@AnnaBeyOfficial Love you lady! And by the way I am ALWAYS impressed by how well you take your own advice and keep visibly leveling yourself up! As a long time follower I see so many improvements as the months and years go on and it's so cool how you really practice what you preach!! 💕
Anna!!! I cannot believe you roasted yourself here! so funny and elegant at the same time! I love how you do not put down anyone else but you put yourself as an example, you're so mature and confident, love it! love it!
Well, I think we can add on top of the list: Perfume on CLEAN BODY. Cause no matter how groomed you looked if you smell bad it's immediately a shut down for me 😖
Anna, I love how you are not scared of acknowledge your own past mistakes. This is why you are one of the only influencers I follow. It is so refreshing seeing people being genuine in social media, instead of a “holier than though” persona! Also, for girls with dark eyes, Latisse is an amazing option for growing long, dark but natural lashes 💙
You are clearly blind. Anna makes money off of her “holier than thou” attitude. She is literally telling other women how to dress and act in order to be praised and accepted by society.
@@madelinekc_ hate the game, not the player. The better you look and the more you fit in, the most benefits you can reap from society. Is it fair? No, but it is the reality. I can appreciate her recognizing that she was not born perfect, and had to sculpt and forge herself into what she is today. I’ll never judge other women/minorities from wanting to fit in and benefit the most with the cards they were handed. I think your anger towards Ana is misdirected.
@@SoAnesu Not sure but I think that Latisse can darken your eyelids ??? That's why she said people with dark eyes can use it no problems. Blonde or lighter hair and eye colors show this darkening more than dark eyes / dark lashes.
= don't start doing something that you cannot maintain or take care of properly and regularly. I always told my daughters that cleanliness is beautiful and classy ;-)
I really love this advice! So many young women spend so much $$$ on hair colouring, nails, tans, facials etc. They fail to see that sometimes less is more and that the artificial stuff they do requires a lot of work!
I use a pumice stone made from volcanic rock (got it on Amazon) and work my heels, big toe, the balls of my feet, and lightly around my nails every time I shower. I now do about 30 strokes in total on all these areas of each foot. It only takes a few minutes. Afterward, I work a little oil into my feet (including around my toes) using Neutrogena's light, odorless sesame oil. My feet look pretty, and I didn't have to spend a lot of money on a pedicure:) Hope this helps those who cannot afford regular pedicures.
I believe investing in skincare is the best thing one can do for their appearance. The moment that you havr a good and consistent skincare routine, your skin will look beautiful enough to not need to wear makeup. Youll save to much when getting ready. you just have to add only a tiny bit of makeup if you feel like it.
Yess! I feel the same about hair and overall hygiene as well. If you do them properly and you keep your cleanliness at all times, it doesn't matter wether you are going out or spending a whole bank holiday weekend at home on your own. It also makes you feel a lot better because you know you're put together even if you don't have any makeup on and your hair is not perfectly straightened or curled. Clean skin, hair and clothes even if you're at home and no one sees you.
Anna, your use of hands is both proper and Quintilian in the finest sense. Your arms do not flail about aimlessly when making a point. You have a classy manner that makes your points seem effortless, and work to emphasis what needs to be, without over doing anything unnecessary.
@Mel C it’s about body language during a presentation. Btw, she also teaches how to walk. If you think that’s sad, what the hell are you doing here? Lol
I've wondered this exactly at a funeral last week! I'm not used to dressing up in heels often anymore and I found myself feeling unsure how to carry myself when it came to my arms (like in talladega nights)
Love the video! I think another elegance mistake is when the glasses of sunglasses are dirty. That’s why everybody should carry around those microfiber towels and regularly clean the smudges on the glass. It‘s really a pet peeve of mine.
@@SexyWellness Yes or the display of your phone can be smudged as well which is super embarrassing, especially when you type in someone's phone number in front of them.
This is a good one. I used to walk around with filthy glasses. I wear them all the time, so I wouldn't notice the smudging until I took them off. Once I realized that I walked around like this, I was horrified! I use both wet and dry cloths on my glasses and phone and smartwatch screens daily now. Leaving them spotty and smeared is like wearing dirty shoes.
I personally love colored hair. I dyed my hair red before but one thing I do acknowledge is that I never let the color fade. I always kept up with it making it as vibrant as ever. For a good time being, a lot of people complimented it because the color never seemed washed out or not maintained. If you want a vibrant hair color just remember maintenance is key.
hey ! I also have red hair, but I don't know how to maintain it as it always fades out after a couple of washes. Could you tell me how you manage to make your hair always vibrant? Thank you
@@Yaywen I had to touch it up every 1-2 months with semi permanent vegan hair dye so it doesn't dry my hair out. I avoided sulfates in my shampoo and conditioner also I didn't wash my hair everyday. Like 3 or more days in between washing. Dry shampoo is going to be a god send. Haha!
@Yaywen2001 Sebti I have seen some shampoos and conditioners that have the colours you want to maintain.. it's not the same as going to a salon for maintenance, but the tint in the products helps keep the colour in for a longer period ..
Personally I don’t like colored hair. But I definitely agree with you. If you gonna dye it, AT LEAST maintain it. People look terrible when their red hair turns to a weird pale orange .
I don’t think anyone intentionally wears cakey makeup, I think the underlying issue is bad skin. Having had bad skin in the past, I know I would have rather piled on the makeup and look cakey than let anyone see my bad skin. The solution to this is focus on improving the underlying problem through skincare/treatments/diet/help of a derm (like I did) rather than masking skin problems with layers of makeup. Also I think a big factor that makes people look cheap is harshly drawn on eyebrows that don’t match their hair color which is a trend that’s not going away, but I guess that’s all part of the natural makeup look!
Valid points! When I had bad skin my makeup was terrible too. But sometimes good skin with unsuitable products & application techniques can also cause caking I believe
@@AnnaBeyOfficial I think you're referring to 'baking' on makeup powder... it's so unnecessary and just sits in every crease and looks awful (in the hard light of day / not filtered through IG)
I remember early on when I watched you. You showed mistakes you made in the past, when you were young, you have highlighted several...very brave and self confident of you, we all admire that quality in you! It is rare.
The theme seems to be that enhancing natural beauty is key ❤ love you timeless, beautiful tips Anna. I introduced your channel to my 72 year old mum whose goal 5 years ago was to become an elegant 70 year old. Your tips work for any age group. Ill definitely send this one to mum too. She's an absolutely gorgeous, elegant woman and I know she'll agree with what you share here.
*Less is more. That's what I'm taking from this..* Whether it comes to your blush or hairspray. Less is always more. So easy to get carried away and sometimes you can't even see yourself properly because certain things are only seen in the daylight or through the camera.. I wonder what are the tricks Anna has to get her makeup camera ready. Because I'm sure it's very different to the make up she'd wear on daily basis. That's something I've definitely haven't mastered.
I follow Anna's example as well. When I was a teen and I had some skin imperfections, I got into wearing makeup (nothing crazy thankfully) but didn't care much about the actual issues. It made me insecure when I had to remove my makeup and not look like my "perfected" self in the mirror. It took me a few years to get my skin sorted out and ever since I pay a lot more attention to skincare than makeup. I don't feel insecure if I don't have any makeup on at all, it's actually very liberating! And I grew to love my freckles and other little details that would get covered with heavy makeup. It's all about accepting and loving your looks and adjusting your makeup to that and not vice versa.
@@fanni24 I have to say I'm very lucky that I got introduced to skincare before I discovered make up. I had a terrible acne as a teenager, but my mum was so good making sure I don't scratch it and she would take so much time applying all the lotions and potions trying to resolve it. I'm forever grateful. These days I'm battling with sun spots, but I think it's something I'm bothered by more than needed 😊 Got to embrace imperfections as you said
I am so happy that I have found your channel, I wish I had your channel back when I was in my teens, this would have really helped me, I have been on a 2-year journey, changing myself as I age. I am in my late 40's now. I have let my natural gray hair grow out, I have been wearing makeup that goes well with my gray hair, I have been trying to find the right colors that make my skin and hair look nice, and I have been doing a lot of research about what fashion style looks the best on me, and I have found that romantic and cottage core, look the best on me. I used to wear jeans, t shirts, workout clothes all the time, I hardly ever wore dresses or skirts, in the past year, I have gotten rid of all of my jeans, I stopped wearing t shirts out in public unless I am at the gym, and I only wear dresses or skirts with a pretty blouse. I love all of your advice and how to act like a lady rather then just looking the part, so I am also trying to use your techniques as well as a few other beautiful influencers that help women become more elegant and to level up and grow. Thank you so much for all that you do.
Greasy hair: quick way to reduce the oiliness is to massage baby powder into hair. Massage well so you don’t leave any traces of powder. Takes about 2 minutes or a bit more depending on hair length
I hate to think where I’d be in life without the guidance of our lovely Anna. I am truly forever grateful for everything you share so generously with us. Sending you lots of love, looking forward to the video ❤️
Thank you Anna Bey. Ever since I found you, you have helped me understand that cheap fabrics don’t last and don’t look good. I am more conscious and analytical now which in turn has helped lessened my impulse spending. Thank you for all your tips!
Yes! Usually I see teenagers doing the crazy hair colours - and they have no clue about skin tones, style or haircut and facial types… and it always looks ridiculous
@@katrinav.8503 tbf teenagers are teenagers and can do that while they still dont have to much responsibility as adults. When adults do it, its usually the elderly that try to be "fun" with it. And lastly unfortunately it doesnt look if you fall in the middle.
I have a dark brown hair with very red undertones and I’m an olive complexion. I find i would look better with a more red than brown look and it brings out my eyes. I’m not sure why i have never colored my hair but looking at wigs and hair filters it looks better
Protip, use Vaseline on the heel of your foot after every shower (once your foot is dry so you can apply socks afterwards) to get rid of cracked or dry heels without having to use a grinder on them to have smooth heels
Well said👏🙌 I started wearing foundation and makeup in my teens only because I had acne and spots that I wanted to cover up. It took me many decades of practice to apply makeup so well that it's practically undetectable. Also, my skin is beautiful due to treatments, so I no longer need to cover up any imperfections and as a result, I wear less and less. 😉 With age, less is more, ladies.
I’m with you on the colour / roots situation. It can look dirty. If I could, I would have my roots done every month as my hair grows quickly. I hate having roots but some people love them. I always feel cleaner whenever I get my roots done 🥰
Oh Anna… my heart goes out to you, as you are conscious to your own shortcomings and not to proud to mention them! It takes great strength to aknowledge own mistakes. This is really sovereign! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Admittedly, there are times in the past when I would bristle at the thought of some of the content presented here. It was my OWN defensiveness showing! I find your videos most helpful now, and I thank you for them. I’m transforming/leveling up, even though I am older, I’m still very capable of creating the life I want for myself. Again, thank you!
I feel that now that my children are adults it is time I focus on myself and self care. I wish I started earlier however I am glad others who consider thereselves "older" are also interested in these videos and leveling up. I've even shared your videos with my daughter who is in her early 20's to let her know leveling up can be a part of self care.
The feet to is a lovely point. I have skin issue on my feet where the skin renews to fast and you know looks not well. Keeping up with the skin cell renewal process is extremely important.
cornstarch/arrowroot + cacaopowder for dark hair is a great natural dry shampoo. Apply it with a large makeupbrush, wait for 5-10 minutes and brush your hair. Unlike spraycan dry shampoo, this doesn't cause hairloss
No matter how much I practice, which foundation, base, setting spray or application tool I use, I’m never happy with the way it makes my skin look. I now use a tinted moisturizer, or mix a little foundation in my SPF which evens out my skin tone. Yes my imperfections poke through, but I feel much more confident.
I agree with the majority of this but I did add a purple gradient to my hair after my son passed away because he loved space. Don’t care how it makes me look, I loved him more. RIP Cillian 💜✨
How beautiful and sweet of you, I know he loves it ! My brother recently passed and now my mom always gets her manicure with her 2 ring fingernails painted in Ducati Red like his motorcycle ❤
I love these points. Especially the hair being natural as possible. The up keep of blonde is difficult. I recently had my hair dyed back to light brown. I feel more confident.
Dry shampoo is a godsend. I have oily hair and what's helped me is getting clarifying shampoo. It keeps my hair clean, less oily and doesn't dry out. Also re-evaluate your hair products. Your hair products may be too heavy or not right for you.
Yes Anna, yes!!! I agree on every point. I so love that you stay true to yourself and aren't afraid to speak your mind. You are simply in a league of your own. I eagerly await every video!
One of the most useful present I received from a former partner is a Hermès carré: I always use it as emergency headscarf when my hair doesn’t look their best! Also, on RUclips you can find a lot of tutorial about headscarf and how to wear them in many different lovely ways!
I haven’t worn makeup for three or so years, and I find now that even if I apply even just a tiny bit it cheapens my whole look and makes me look juvenile. I think as long as your skin is good, hair neat and you’re clean and presentable, actually wearing no makeup at all is the most sophisticated and confident look. It shows you really are above society and other peoples expectations and insecurities
I’m so guilty of not giving myself the once-over before leave the house or the restroom. I’m going to make a conscious effort to do so going forward. Thank you Anna for reminding us of these things.
I’m new to your channel. I haven’t always been elegant or soft. My mother is a classy lady and have gotten many things from her but I came here to learn more. I want to say I love your videos. You teach without insulting! I feel inspired to be better!! Thank you for such a lovely channel. ❤
When I was in cosmetology school, the little old ladies would ask for their color rinse (we would call them "cotton haired ladies"😊)... it was subtle and cute. I do not understand this cotton candy craze... like, it went 2.O!!😳🧐🤔😱
I love tip #8! When I attended a spring banquet several years ago, I asked my mom to curl my hair. When I arrived to the event, everyone was commenting on how my hair was SO shiny and it was BOUNCY! I didn’t use hairspray 😊
I can appreciate your straight faced honesty, even though it can be hard to hear, we all know these details make a big difference in our confidence & appearance. Ps. I agree with the kool-aid colored hair, who told women this is a good look?! No bueno 👎🏽
I have purple hair!!! After therapy I must have let go of my aggression and started to soften. I was like why have I these combat pants and this purple hair 🙄.. then I came across your videos by chance and I’d already started making the changes! Those ware amazing! I’m in the hair dressers today to get my hair natural and more mature! I’m 43 xx
I am from Los Angeles, and the lip liner has been a staple here in makeup since I was born. But I am trying to change my look to something more soft and elegant, and recently I took a beautiful photo of myself and will admit the over drawn lip liner ruined it! Lesson learned! 🤗
I applaud that last piece of advice! People often ask me why I don't wear make up and it's because I can't do it so I end up looking worse 😂 it's so hard with hooded eyes and oily skin
I really love this advice, I have a very hectic lifestyle, so hence, no time for makeup. I'm 46 years old and I'm not going to hide it, so I prefer to go naturally. To end, I'm not very beautiful, but that's ok, not everybody can be but I'm very sweet.
Since I started watching anna and following her advice and tips I really changed for better .. I become more beautiful , self confidence , looks younger .. also I saved money and being more picky ..
It’s funny how the more natural you put your makeup on, the better we look, I think. To me, the minimal amount looks the best and is also the easiest to do
I agree with all your points, especially eye make-up and hair color. I believe that less make-up and a natural look is better, and I never go outside without sun screen on my face and neck. As for hair color - pick a hair color that you like that matches your complexion, and stick with it. The only thing rainbow colors do for your hair is draw attention to yourself, but not in a good way.
You should make sure to put the sun screen on the top of your hands too. I've noticed older women have a lot of sun damage on the top of their hands...sun spots and such.
I wear make up that is simple and enhances my look. Jewelry is my main passion and I love all kinds and express myself through my jewelry. I do wear statement pieces, but I make sure that the whole look is appealing. I often get compliments on the pieces I wear. We can express ourselves in many different ways.
I don’t wear make-up. I put my outfits together and do my manicures and pedicures regularly, but make-up isn’t my thing. I wear lipgloss instead. I do agree on everything, especially the hair color.
Hi Anna, you’ve made some very valid points and completely agree with them. On the topic of makeup as per your last point, I would love to see your effortless makeup routine.
I’m going into uni rn and I want to change my dark brown hair to burgundy, dark red! Nothing too crazy or too intense tho. Just a beautiful reddish-purplish brown. The need to change and be myself and have fun and not to be afraid is stronger than the need to upkeep my elegance. I will be a grown woman in a few years! I still have time tho. Anyways, thanks for the video!! 🥰
The greasy hair!! Some years ago the internet was talking so much about how bad is to wash your hair everyday. And saying that if you don’t wash so much, the hair will stop being so oily. Well I believed in all that stuff and did the low poo method for 4 years. I washed it one day and the other day it was greasy already, and I had to make a bun. I live in a hot climate. It was disgusting, but I was believing in what those people were saying. After hearing a dermatologist saying that healthy hair is clean hair, I came back to washing it everyday. I’m so ashamed of how I went to classes in college. I wore leggings too. I wish I knew Anna sooner
Same!! But I learned about it not from internet but from my mom. The thing is me and my mom have a completely different hair. I have straight and oily hair, while she has curly and dry hair. So, nowadays I really learn about myself and my own body before following someone's advise.
I tried no poo and was unable to keep it really -I like my hair clean and smelling good. I also saw that no poo is not really about zero products -they do use things to control grease, such as chickpea flour (ew), and then oils, etc. admittedly those people's hair looked amazing (in pictures, so who knows), but I just caved.
I`m an artist so my hair will always be some funky color but I do agree that it is SUCH a commitment to keep my hair healthy and well put together. I`ve spent the better part of 3 years developing a haircare routine and it has paid off, but it wasn`t easy. If you ladies decide to get funky hair, know that: - you must recolor it weekly, because unnatural colors fade so fast (especially purple). It ain`t cheap, so learn to do it yourself. Use brands such as Manic Panic that don`t harm your hair. Get a darker shade, and use a little bit (like a teaspoon) & add conditioner to lighten it for use. - you don`t have to decolor your hair! We all know decoloring your hair will damage it, so here`s my workaround: use permanent box dyes (yes, the come in pinks, purples etc.) for the first application. This will tint your natural hair. Then use Manic Panic as described above to maintain the color. Redo the permanent hair dye once a month, then just maintain it. - if you use box dye without decoloring, it will blend with your natural hair and the situation Anna describes will be avoided ;) No more annoying roots sticking out! Of course, it`ll take around 4-6 months for your hair to get pigmented and obtain the desired shade. However, if you wanna get a very pigmented shade (like magenta), you`ll have to decolor. This works only for darker, more "natural" looking funky colors (dark violets, dark purples, dark blues etc). Darker colors are also easer to balance with outfits. - always apply masks & treatment each time you re-dye your hair. It is a chemical process after all. Nobody likes dead-looking hair :D The end result will be a lot classier and distinguished than the usual funky dye job, like a slightly augmented version of your natural hair. Enjoy!
Hi Anna. Thanks very much for this very educational video. I assure you most of us have made at least one of those mistakes. I have made a few, especially when I used a box hair color & ended up with a green sheen to by light brown hair🥺! I certainly didn’t know any of the information on teeth. That was eye😳opening to me. You look great and very natural. Don’t be so hard on yourself. Thank you for your bravery in being so honest so that others can avoid these issues. Please continue with your videos, they are extremely helpful. 😊
I would include Eyebrows into this. The Overplugged ones, the ones that are shaped weird (not if they are naturally a weird shape) and also the ones that are too bold or to feathery. Eyebrows frame your face and therefore they are really important. Now that i think about it i would also include the color of your eyebrow products not matching. Been there, done that, looked like a clown when i started doing make up and plugging them. This is not meant to hurt anyone who just isn't blessed with naturally pretty eyebrows though.
Oooo, you know what I think looks so bad for eyebrows is the people who had them tattooed on, before they came up with this new technique where they tattoo on each hair. To explain what I mean better: when people started getting 'permanent makeup' (that's what they called it, here, at least), they tattooed on the eyebrows as just one block of colour! Like, sure, from 45 feet away, it looks normal, but close up, it looks very very odd, because they just tattooed one big block of colour in. Whereas, now, they seem to be tattooing them on in a way that looks quite realistic, because they tattoo a bunch of hair-shapes on, not just one big block of colour. The pharmacist I go to has those blocks of colour eyebrows tattooed on, and I always always have to try so hard not to stare at them. They look so weird, but I don't want to be rude and stare.
Thank you for your wonderful tips, Ana! You always bring original information that is not found on other RUclips channels. By the way, I would be immensely grateful if you could dedicate a video to how to dress specifically for a job interview, in an office job, if you are a manager, etc.😍
Can you please try to make a video on all of your favorite stores, how to shop there, how to pick the best items for the price. Maybe give us a list of all middle range stores as well that would be amazing!!
I would be very interested in a video where you can give tips for hair that is going to be gray. It's difficult to handle because it is very dry. Maybe you know older elegant ladies you can ask. And what is elegant to use to tie your hair together?
For dry hair, do hydrating/thick conditioners not work for you? My ends get quite dry but I find that incorporating a thick conditioner with every hair wash helps - I condition before washing, and leave on the conditioner a minute or two.

Thank you for the advice x

I myself am very into personal colour analysis and what you discover when you learn about someone's best colours is that their natural, as-it-grows-from-their-scalp hair colour is basically always the best, most flattering and harmonious hair colour for them *if they are also wearing their own best colours.* Funky coloured hair is designed to make a statement, same as strong, colourful makeup, and in classic or natural aesthetics like Anna's you want your whole self to be the statement, not the clothes, jewels, hair, or makeup. That doesn't make either wrong, they are just different approaches with different effects and we can all appreciate different things. No need for hate or hurt feelings!
You expressed it so well! Thank you 🙏
@@AnnaBeyOfficial Love you lady! And by the way I am ALWAYS impressed by how well you take your own advice and keep visibly leveling yourself up! As a long time follower I see so many improvements as the months and years go on and it's so cool how you really practice what you preach!! 💕

Latisse does not work on everybody..we see the side effects at the opthamology office in prescribing it
You are clearly blind.
@@maddscientist3170 what do you recommend instead?
@@SoAnesu Not sure but I think that Latisse can darken your eyelids ??? That's why she said people with dark eyes can use it no problems.
Blonde or lighter hair and eye colors show this darkening more than dark eyes / dark lashes.
Your honesty, when you simply mention your mistakes, puts you above and beyond many others.
I always feel elegant whenever i hear you say “My Dear Elegant Ladies”🥰
True
Me too
She doesn't say "you guys" like so many people do today. She's elegance personified.
= don't start doing something that you cannot maintain or take care of properly and regularly. I always told my daughters that cleanliness is beautiful and classy ;-)
Best advice!
I really love this advice! So many young women spend so much $$$ on hair colouring, nails, tans, facials etc. They fail to see that sometimes less is more and that the artificial stuff they do requires a lot of work!
So true!

She should do a tutorial on this.
@Mel C it’s about body language during a presentation. Btw, she also teaches how to walk. If you think that’s sad, what the hell are you doing here? Lol
Many RUclipsrs are impossibly distracting with their arm movements. It takes away from the message. Excellent point!
@Mel C as someone really awkward with arms, this will surely help a lot. if i need to beg her to do this, i will haha
Thanks for the PSA, will pay more attention to this!!!
Yes!! It drives me nuts when I see people wearing dirty glasses or sunglasses
Good one! And this can happen quickly if you pop them on top of your head to go inside for a bit.
Haha!
Also coloring roots in time, trimming ends, deep conditioning and bond repairing.
I believe in always using a primer which is suited for the type of skin you have, then apply your makeup.
@@AnnaBeyOfficial I think you're referring to 'baking' on makeup powder... it's so unnecessary and just sits in every crease and looks awful (in the hard light of day / not filtered through IG)
Also, I think that makeup accentuates texture. When u have acne, big pores, oily skin, your make up is gonna make that more visible
@@fo735 that's when the choice has to be made: acne, scars, pigmentation and dark bags OR texture from covering those things up.
That's what I'm taking from this..*
Whether it comes to your blush or hairspray.
These days I'm battling with sun spots, but I think it's something I'm bothered by more than needed 😊
Got to embrace imperfections as you said
Less is more unless your a professional who knows what your doing
The other problem with unnatural hair colours is having a new colour issue with your outfits because the balance was upset.
Yupp, many don't fit the skin type either
Yes! Usually I see teenagers doing the crazy hair colours - and they have no clue about skin tones, style or haircut and facial types… and it always looks ridiculous
the only problem for me is the damage!

I agree about bright colour hair, it's a bit untidy.
Admittedly, there are times in the past when I would bristle at the thought of some of the content presented here. It was my OWN defensiveness showing! I've even shared your videos with my daughter who is in her early 20's to let her know leveling up can be a part of self care.
I totally agree on all points, esp. the weirdly colored or/and greasy hair.
The feet to is a lovely point. I have skin issue on my feet where the skin renews to fast and you know looks not well. Keeping up with the skin cell renewal process is extremely important.
"my dear elegant ladies" always makes me so happy :D
cornstarch/arrowroot + cacaopowder for dark hair is a great natural dry shampoo. Apply it with a large makeupbrush, wait for 5-10 minutes and brush your hair. Unlike spraycan dry shampoo, this doesn't cause hairloss
I am definitely in love with your dress in this video ❤
I agree with most things minus the greasy hair because some of us need moist hair based on our hair texture or hair porosity.
This was a great video I particularly agree with the hair colour point! Natural colours are so much better for so many reasons 👏
I'm the same way. I put away the tutorials and started doing the most minimal looks with the goal of making myself look "awake".

I use the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer from Sephora. It looks natural and gives moisture. I love this video and the comments.❤

I agree with the majority of this but I did add a purple gradient to my hair after my son passed away because he loved space. Don’t care how it makes me look, I loved him more. RIP Cillian 💜✨
Sorry for the loss of your son.

Sorry for the loss of your son. May he rest in Peace. 🎆

OMG yessss thankgod u mentioned those crazy hair Colors.

No bueno 👎🏽

I applaud that last piece of advice! People often ask me why I don't wear make up and it's because I can't do it so I end up looking worse 😂 it's so hard with hooded eyes and oily skin
What I love most about this channel is that the advice Anna gives is timeless.
Yes.
I really love this advice, I have a very hectic lifestyle, so hence, no time for makeup. I'm 46 years old and I'm not going to hide it, so I prefer to go naturally. To end, I'm not very beautiful, but that's ok, not everybody can be but I'm very sweet.

It’s funny how the more natural you put your makeup on, the better we look, I think. To me, the minimal amount looks the best and is also the easiest to do
Thank you!!!! Please continue to map out these details out for us!

Great vid. I'm glad you addressed the eyelasses. Crazy how less is more....aka Kate Middleton.
If you ladies decide to get funky hair, know that:
- you must recolor it weekly, because unnatural colors fade so fast (especially purple).
Nobody likes dead-looking hair :D
The end result will be a lot classier and distinguished than the usual funky dye job, like a slightly augmented version of your natural hair. Enjoy!
Totally agree with the pastel / non natural hair color. #9.
I have only seen one YOUNG lady wear the rainbow hair and make it look beautiful...she had it styled in braids...stunning and fun.

Hi Anna. Thanks very much for this very educational video. I assure you most of us have made at least one of those mistakes.
*plucking/ tweezing
People should invest some time on doing research about which style of eyebrow suits them the most, to avoid being ridiculous.
Great advice!! You had me primping some leftover eyeliner off of my eyes this morning! Thanks for calling me out! 🤗
Thank you for your wonderful tips, Ana! You always bring original information that is not found on other RUclips channels.
By the way, I would be immensely grateful if you could dedicate a video to how to dress specifically for a job interview, in an office job, if you are a manager, etc.😍
Lovely lady with great advice. The most important question for me is “where did you get your dress?” Beautiful dress and you wear it well😍
Can you please try to make a video on all of your favorite stores, how to shop there, how to pick the best items for the price.
@@tlc2741 it's different when it gets grey. But thank you.
