Anna you werent born into luxury and elegance, you grew and matured into it...it is much harder to be an outsider going into that kind of world. You actually had to learn the when, what, and most importantly the "why" of classy living, this shapes you to be a better person than the people who were born into it...because they just do what they were told from a young age and become indoctrinated. Having an outside view and perspective also allows you to empathize with ladies that live outside of your bubble as well, so many who grew up rich are just snobby and stuck up with no idea what the average persons struggle is like
I agree with your statement. Plus sometimes making mistakes and acknowledging them keeps you humble and empathetic towards others. Qualities that I believe draws people to you. A win win situation. beauty isn’t just on the outside. In my eyes you are a lovely lady😘
Good morning everyone!! anna bey, have the courage to talk about her past, because she is honest, sincere, have a great personality!! anna bey being anna bey 🤔😍
repent TODAY, forsake your sinful way of life, and believe in the Gospel. salvation is found only in the LORD JESUS CHRIST alone, Who took upon the sin of the world on that cross, bearing the pain and punishment we deserve(d), that our sins may be atoned for, and He is risen [in glory] for our justification, that we may be made right with GOD, that we may know Him, be adopted by Him and reconciled to Him -- forgiven, set free from the curse of sin and death, and made as new creatures in CHRIST alone.
Am really impressed by the past pictures...She has earned even more of my respect for her honesty and for how far she has come! It made me trust her advice even more! Much respect!
Anna, I am not going to lie, I started watching you with some judgment, thinking you were just another influencer wanna-be. I wasn’t looking to “level-up”. But I have learned quite a bit from your content on how to refine my look, even if I’m just out walking my dog. 😄 I love how real you are and that you don’t pretend that everything has always been a fairytale in your life. Excellent work!

I know that the teeth topic was hard to discuss, but it made me feel better knowing that women such as yourself have similar issues. It's It's embarrassing to smile and it's something I feel I may struggle with for a long time. But you give people like me hope who are trying to live a better and more elegant life. So thank you so much ❤
I'm a dental assistant, please don't feel embarrassed around us, we want to help you and many of us have struggled with problems with our teeth as well. I would avoid crowns or veneers unless you absolutely need them, you want to keep your natural teeth as long as possible. I'm so glad she gives you the warnings of what can go wrong and happen. Also they should always check for extra cement.
I was a dental hygienist in the US for 40 years and I am so sorry you went through this. I always cautioned people about the quick fix or “if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is”. I know it’s very popular in Great Britain to go to Turkey for the one day full mouth veneers because it’s so much cheaper. But again, you get what you pay for. Also in my 40 years of practice I never had a patient who had to have their crowns or veneers changed after ten years. I, myself, have crowns in my mouth that are 30 years old. No problems. Wish you luck. Love your channel. And again I am sorry you went through all this. It shouldn’t have happened. You are beautiful.
30 year crowns? How is that poss? Would you mind sharing please? I have terrible teeth (worse than Anna's) and am trying not to go broke fixing them. Every crown I have needs to be replaced within the next two years and they are not cheap, so if you could recommend to me what kind you have, I would appreciate it! I'm looking at long term solutions so I don't have to go thru procedures more times than I have to. Thank you in advance ❤
I'm not sure why you would need your crowns replaced unless they were done improperly in the first place, you got decay around the margins or you have extreme recession. I of course, can't really say much without seeing a person and their X-rays and still a dentist has to make the final diagnosis. But, I have one crown in my mouth that I got at age 15 and I'm now 75. I've had no problems with it at all. But then that is also the last time I had a cavity. I know that people who go to Turkey for cheap crowns usually have to have them replaced and often end up needing root canals because they tend to shave down the teeth too far. Having teeth problems is the worst and toothaches can be unbearable. @@SC-gp7kt
Agree! Should have gone to Hungary, the Dentist "tourism" from all over Europe is a major thing there. I have had my crowns made (gold inside and porcelain outside) there in 1997! they are still perfect! also, I had a little bit of underbite and when she did the mold she told me to relax my jaw and she pushed it inward before I had to bite down on it...I have NO underbite now :) it is corrected with the crown. ALSO! she brought in an anesthesiologist who did conscious sedation at her office. was a bit of extra money, but worth it! I was living in Switzerland as well at that time, in Aarau, so I had to go back for the new crowns but I am very happy with the result.
@@cortex333 Porcelain fused to gold is the way to go honestly. Nothing that they do nowadays comes even close as far as longevity. I was missing some teeth due to genetics (hypodontia) and also got crowns with gold inside. Did it in Austria around the same time you got yours (1998 I think it was). Never had an issue all these years and I see many friends who went to get dental work done not even 3 years ago and already had lots of problems with them popping off and breaking etc.

Despite your flaws, you are such a beautiful/elegant woman wanting to pass down information to the younger generation. You are very inspirational and I love heeding your knowledge. Always Your success is apparent.
Thank you for sharing your insecurities and being open about your learning process. So many “influencers” are dishonest about their procedures and mistakes and alienate all of us normal people. You genuinely want to help all women make improvements, you’re not jealously defending your superior position like so many other women do. This is why we love you!
As a retired dentist, & from a distance, I think your teeth look great. Don't quit using that great smile! With any body procedure you need to research thoroughly to find a practitioner who has long time experience with that procedure & is a master at it. Btw, computer generated crowns can look as good as lab made ones, but again it depends on the materials & the master. Never be in a rush with anything about the body.
I love Anna Bey so much. I could almost relate to most of her experiences, I love especially her humility, sincerity and honesty. The way she shared her mistakes.
Do not apologize! You made your decisions based on what you knew at the time AND you trusted the people doing the work. Yes, we should all perhaps research these things a bit more (welcome to being a human being🥴) but now you’re sharing very valuable information that will definitely help others. Good for you, Anna!
The teeth story is nightmare material… 🥺 but I want to thank you for sharing this. It shows us that even Anna Bey makes mistakes. It makes us believe in our own jorneys. 💜
The best sunscreens are Korean or Japanese! Trust me, no lux segment cosmetics makes it as wearable. I’ve tried these - Biore Aqua, Shiseido Anessa, and was never happier. My skin is oily, so I need an instant absorbency too. Remember! Even if your cosmetics has SPF it never helps as it’s not a proper layer!!
Oh gee! I'm a Dental Hygienist and have worked in dentistry for over 20 years. I've seen many dental disasters like what you've described and couldn't agree more on doing your research and being patient! The computer made crowns can now actually be glazed to appear more lifelike but that will take more time of course. I think the best option is crowns made by hand by a talented technician who you actually meet in person and discuss colour and shape with (if crowns are already there - otherwise, always see if veneers might be an option). To anyone reading this considering a permanent change to your teeth: Get more than one opinion, maybe start with whitening and a clean to see if that is all that is needed, or, would braces improve things enough? Then you could move on to more invasive procedures. Just be really clear with what you want and be prepared to wait for it! xx
This American hygienist agrees with you! Another benefit of lab made vs 3D printer in-office crowns: the lab can use porcelain. The 3D ones are plastic resin.
THIS thread is so important! TV ads bombard viewers with the idea that “you can have a whole new smile in less than 24 hours”…. DONT DO IT! Thank you Anna for being so Brave.
I should have gotten my breast reduction younger. I would have been more confident than hiding myself in baggy tops. Buying clothes that fit well was always a challenge and when I did finally find something that was not revealing, I was still getting unwanted attention from older men like my father's age and treated like an object than a lady with guys my own age. Waited so many years later to get it done, today I unfortunately still suffer from chronic neck, shoulder and back pain from carrying that extra weight. Some cosmetic procedures that impact one's physical health should be done sooner rather than later. My family told me it would be expensive but my doctor told me it would have been covered because it was more medical than cosmetic. Oh well live and learn as they say.
It’s medical when your doctor documents it as ‘back pain needing breast reduction’. It’s not a cosmetic procedure and it IS very painful for people. A problem I never understand bcz I never had ‘em big.
I love how much confidence you have to be able to tell us about your mistakes. You're a true pioneer who had to learn it all on your own, to in turn help other ladies down the same path. That is very noble! ❤️👑
Dear Anna, thank you for sharing this. Good lesson for all of us :) Have you thought about sharing some "financial" choices that you regret and corrected over time? In the context of financial literacy for women I think every influencer should touch on this and the way you do it is so open and elegant without making us feel bad and always encouraging to aim for more.
I am so grateful to my parents for getting me braces as a teen. The appearance of my teeth and my smile is one less thing to have to worry about. Any parents reading this, please consider getting your children braces. Makes such a difference to their health too.
I second this...I never flossed because I would always bleed because my teeth were too overcrowded and I've lost a few of the back ones. I'm in the process of getting braces now, wish my parents could have afforded them for me and my sister
Even more important: teach your children to really brush and clean the teeth 2 times a day really well and you won’t get in trouble with the substance. My parents never really checked on me so I cheated a lot of times and now I have spend thousands of euros for implants and crowns….
Incredibly honest and humble in sharing this type of experience and testimony with so many people, even though many consider her superficial, frivolous, classist, this woman proves to us that she is made of character and pants that many lack or dare to speak of these issues and defend them honorably. Your generosity and bravery is enormous Anna I have learned so much and I am deeply grateful and eternally indebted, I am making significant positive changes in my life thanks to your help. Truly grateful, Dayana.

02:30 might be THE most important thing you've ever said. YES! "Negative feedback can sometimes be constructive." This is so, so, so important. Growth almost always comes alongside pain of some kind. We benefit greatly from having the humility to listen to others, even (and for certain circumstances, especially) people we don't like that much. My mother says something similar: "Don't lose the lesson," meaning, there may be things you need to discard from what you hear, but there's usually something of value you should keep, even if the person who said it meant to hurt you by it. It can still be useful to you.
Anna, you should be proud of yourself for sharing these stories with us, especially the last one. These things do happen, and by sharing your mistakes, you help us to avoid making them. For those of us who have already made the same mistakes, you help us to humanise our experiences. You should be so proud of the impact you’re leaving on other peoples’ lives. Thank you for your authenticity always! p.s. I’m in my 20s, I have Graves’, and I knew a lot of emotional struggle growing up, so the things in your past that you’re not proud of are exactly what makes me love your channel above all others. ❤
This is going to sound weird, but to assist my oily skin, I do a very counterintuitive thing: I use oils at night and I am not afraid of oily products. The thing was that I was using products that sucked the oil out of my skin (ie. dried it out), so in return, my skin started producing more oil to combat this. Now that I use some oily products, my skin isn’t doing that anymore. My skin has no more acne and is less temperamental.
This actually makes perfect sense - in chemistry like dissolves like, which is why water alone cannot wash away oil, but an oil-based cleanser will dissolve excess sebum without stripping the skin of _all_ its natural emollients.
This is why cold cream worked for millions of women. I also struggled with acne, from the age of 9. I was taken to several dermatologists and was on all the Retin-A, antibiotics, accutane, etc and nothing helped. I hated my skin because it was so high maintenance and yet never looked good. I couldn't hide it with makeup either- it didn't matter what products I used, I broke out each time I used it. It wasn't until age 42 where I went for treatment for pollen allergies (!) where the allergy treatments helped take down the inflammation under the acne. Soon after I became brave and stopped washing, double cleansing, moisturizing, exfoliating etc, and decided that all I would do was use cold cream because it leaves a very light, occlusive film on the skin that can protect from more pollutants and allergens in the air. A few months later I was blessed with skin that while pock-marked, it is at least "not embarrassing." Even better, my skin is now tolerant of sunscreen and occasional makeup. Btw, the product I use is called Albolene, and it is basically the ORIGINAL formula for Pond's cold cream, but without the rose water and fragrance... And massage in/wipe off is the simplest skin care regime possible. No 10-step Korean skincare routine needed!
My biggest mistake was getting a tattoo! That was in 2004 and I got it removed during 2016-2017! I am still so thankful to myself that I had the courage to remove it, research for the best techniques. I did the work and travel to the studio that had that type of laser technology and didn’t settle for the those neighborhood beauty salon cheap lasers. The tattoo is gone forever (I can still se a bit of a tiny shade because I know where to look) and I am so happy in my own skin
Your transparency and honesty make you absolutely delightful and relatable. You look like perfection, so it's easy for someone just looking at you to think your level is unobtainable, but you make it possible. Love you! 🌹
I’m 25 years old and Anna Bey is the big sister I wish I had. As a beauty mistake I’ll personally add “over-plucking eyebrows” in a shape that is weird or unnatural. It’s better to not do anything than spending years to fix this.
I over plucked my eye brows in the 80's, they never grew back all the way. I.have to fill them in.its so annoying and wished I never messed with my eye brows.
@@kiwi_housewife I did it in the 80's! b/c I had a crush on forties-style fashion! It was so bad an older woman pulled me aside and said, "Don't worry, they grow back."
I love how you’re honest about taking medication for acne. This is something not a lot of people talk about but a lot of times going to a dermatologist is the only thing that can fix acne, especially if it’s severe. So I love how you mentioned that 💕
You being genuine with your experiences is what makes a high level channel. I'm on my early 20's and couldn't be more lucky to have your channel in my life, thank you for all of your advices ❤️
Thank you so much for sharing this Anna!! Just makes me love your channel even more for being honest & open & showing the humanity of making mistakes but how it doesn’t change at all your ability to glow & grow into an elegant & classy woman! If anything, owning up to our mistakes & having the courage to share with others in hopes of helping them is one of the most admirable & classiest things a woman can do! Also I can completely relate to having my own beauty mistakes, particularly with the excessive makeup trying to hide acne which I struggled with for years! As an adult now I do have some topical meds which as you said some people can be very against but for me as well it just isn’t worth it not having some prescription support to allow my mind to focus on far more important things & feel confident!
That was so funny about the Italian couple …that’s a pet peeve of mine when people try to use their foreign language to be rude …like telling secrets inappropriately in public
You have to try Japanese sunscreen ASAP, Anna!! I absolutely hated sunscreen too because of my oily skin but now I that I've been using SkinAqua it's not only not unpleasant anymore, but I actually LIKE the glow and dewy aspect it gives me. Some other brands that are good are Biore and Shiseido.
Yes!!! I have dark skin so mineral gave a white cast and have reactions to filters available in US chemical sunscreens. I found that each Japanese brand have tried work for me. I’ve also found a French brand that my skin doesn’t leave a white cast or react to
Oh my God I was about to say that and boom I read this! 😂 Yes skinaqua all the wayyyy. Been using for 10 years now. I'm wearing the spf 30 for daily basis and 50 for beach. That's all. And geez the spf 30 is complete vit c collagen etc etc and so cooling on your skin. Spf 50 a bit different tho. Bit oily but can handle that with powder 😀
My mistake, as a teen was messing up my eyebrows ....it has taken years to recover , fortunately at 20 years old I went to a proffesional who told me to stop messing my eyebrowns and since then I took care of them.
Dear Anna, I applaud you for being so vulnerable and honest..this is what makes you stand out from a lot of RUclipsrs out there. For me there is absolutely no shame in any of these things.. I see how much work and effort you have put into yourself. I am currently doing your program “secrets of the elite woman” and I bow to your courage, discipline and persistence to take yourself where you are now,how much you’ve achieved by doing what you love. You really make a difference in people’s lives 🙏🏼❤️ As for me, I did bleach my hair in my early teens,I was not allowed to redo it so my hair ended up looking half blonde half dark which did not look good at all..I was called stupid blonde,I got sick of it so I cut it really short which absolutely didn’t suit me..I had to wait a very long time to get my hair at a good looking length again.I never re dyed it up until 3 years ago. 🤷🏻♀️ I also had to wear braces during my junior high years and also a scoliosis brace.. both were physically and psychologically traumatising but it did pay off..I still remember how happy I was the day I got the braces off,I’ve been smiling freely ever since 😁😁😁 I also further improved my posture because of my years of yoga- I wish I had started yoga in my teens 🧘🏻♀️❤️ Finally, I’ve suffered from acne for several years and I did a lot of expensive aesthetic treatments to recover from it..unfortunately I have ice pick scars, which are difficult to treat. They don’t look bad, but I’m still working on and having treatments for this. My take away from my appearance “issues” is that you get to love and accept yourself unconditionally. 💖 Acne taught me to love and take care of my skin, I got to properly brush and take care of my teeth because of my braces, I got to love and accept my body because of yoga..we are are perfectly imperfect amazing human beings, there is no place for shame because we are all on our beautiful human journey of self love and evolution. It was so liberating to embrace, to love and accept myself, exactly as I was. ❤️✨ I’m sending you much love and looking forward to your next video. 🤗😘
Anna, I had the same problem with earrings… I suffered with this until I just decided to make another hole on one ear that would be symmetrical with the other. It was the best decision! The hole is not visible after a while (or depending on the earring you’ll be wearing), also you can always cover it with makeup if you want. 💜
This video is such an eye opener. I have gap between my front teeth. Many friends suggested me to get it correct, but I didn’t. I accepted the way I have teeth. But don’t feel that you made mistakes. Mistakes are great. It teaches you the most & help you to get better. You are an inspiration to me tbh 😘😘
I really appreciate your honesty in showing your path for which everyone from the outside might think has been very easy. You are a person with the feet on the ground, although you are part of a high society (we are usually encountering entitled people from this circle). You are a great example for everyone who follows you, because you embrace the imperfections and work to improve them or accept to live with them. Thank you very much! 😇
“SUPERGOOP!” UNSEEN SUNSCREEN, SPF 40, I bought in Sephora. Absolute game changer!!! I didn’t know about that brand until I grabbed a sampler on my points at the register. I honestly was blowing away of the quality of this sunscreen. From the box:- “It’s a weightless, colorless, scentless, oil free formula for face that leaves behind a velvety soft finish. It also acts as a makeup-gripping primer that’s perfect for all skin tones.” I’m not advertising this brand, I truly want to share my experience with people who are picky as me and try to find the perfect product. It’s really is that good!👍🏼 Btw, I never comment on anything:) It’s literally my first time ever, haha. I like your videos Anna! I’m 50 and still want to learn something and improve myself😉
I love that primer too! It’s my favorite spf primer. I’m wearing it right now. Best sunscreen for the face with or without makeup. I find that I do need to powder with it on tho if I want to stay matte.
I am so sorry you went through a horrible teeth experience. Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing your experience. I'm actually looking into getting my teeth fixed.
Thanks for being so open and sharing all your past beauty mistakes. The sunscreen I use is Andalou Naturals BB cream with SPF 30. It's very light weight and non-greasy with the added benefit of providing a bit of coverage.
Oh god! I never knew i would ever admit it but i did make a mistake of heavy dark make up during a day event and it took me a long time to realise why my mom literally hated it and asked me to take it off immediately. Lesson learnt.
YOU ARE A TRUE HERO TO WOMEN!! So brave to reveal your mistakes esp about your teeth....so embarrassing to admit but you told us anyway. I applaud your courage!! 👏 ✌️ 👏
I'm looking into this procedure myself! I was a dummy in high school and stretched mine to 9/16" and they'll never go back to normal without surgery. Wishing I never met people who made me want to do that. Like, what was I thinking? Those aren't attractive in the slightest. You look barbaric. 😂
@@bathemeinchampagne This here is exactly why I haven't gotten it done yet. I'm trying to find a doctor who I can trust. I had 3 heart surgeries done as a child and my mother failed to research him. He "forgot" to tell us that I had another diagnosis besides the reason I was getting the surgeries for 8 years. I went in for a check up and he was like, "Oh, so have I ever mentioned she has a heart murmur too?" Since then, I don't trust doctors easily at all.
As an orthodontist I can tell you that with orthodontics even the most complicated cases have a solution. I don't know your clinical case, so I can't give an opinion, but I think the diagnosis they gave you was the most invasive treatment they could find. Today Crowns are the last thing we orthodontists want for our patients. even veneers personally I do not recommend them in my young adult patients. I really hope you find an ethical dentist who can solve your case in the most optimal way. Anna I love your videos and I appreciate your way of being so open with your followers
we should always keep our original teeth as much as possible :/ I’m sure braces would have worked for her.. never heard of a case where they didn’t work
Dental stuff can be so complicated to deal with. I also had a lot of struggles. Had great milk teeth, no single cavity ever no problems whatsoever, then some of my adult teeth did not come in and were completely missing. As it runs in the family the dentist told us that it's a case of hypodontia, that these teeth are just not there and I will have to get some solution to replace them. It was a long time back and implants were not a thing yet, at least not where I am from, so they gave me two bridges to replace the missing ones. All was good, I got used to having to have crowns from such an early age and thankfully never had an issue with them. But then fast forward to my mid Forties and suddenly these teeth appeared. In a check up suddenly you could see the new teeth in the xray. In all my childhood xrays and all through adulthood none of these teeth were formed or there at all. So the newly appearing teeth were pushing down all my dental work and one corner one even grew over the bridge and came out on top of it to the side. It was a mess. If Ana thinks she has problems I think my case still tops it all.
What i love about you is that you are not afraid with who you were. A lot of affluent people want to hide their dark past. For me this is a big quality!! 💕
One last comment for today. I too had Veneers done (I had horrible teeth, plus went through domestic abuse. I had no parental guidance on basic dental maintenance as a child. I loved my parents but they were too busy climbing the corporate ladder. Shout out to all former “rich-kids” raised by a Nannie. My dentist did not explain how veneers are not permanent. I mean $20k-I trusted because of the cost I was set for life. Wrong. I now have dentures. I’m planning on Dental Implants in my future. And I will make it a reality. I will have to work hard as I’m paying for it 100%. Like most, it will be worth my work. It really is so devastating how being born with dental issues or neglect in our dental education haunt us. My children have perfect dental health because I did not want to repeat my lack of dental education. Yes. You should brush daily 2x, not once a week. Thanks mom/dad/Lucy my nanny
I too have some problems with my teeth. My problem was I was very, very afraid of going to the dentist, I still do now but its not as bad as before. Some times in our lives we all make mistakes.
I too have never had basic dental education from my parents, and that's something weird. like how on earth parents forget to tell their kids about the health of their such an important body part?. .
Forget basic education, my mother filled at giving us any sort of education regarding teeth when I was a kid.. It's really not an excuse, but it certainly wasn't helpful, obviously. Sucks.
Anna, I sympathize with you. I went through the exact same situation with my teeth and I have the same symptoms that you described, eg, cold air, heat sensitivity, etc. I am currently doing my teeth again this time with some implants and crowns, but I still believe that I will have the sensitivity because of the damage that the dentist has done. Many people think that the crowns look fabulous and they do, but they don't realize that some people actually suffer with them. Great video, thank you for sharing your vulnerabilities with us.
I really appreciate you sharing your dentistry journey. My teeth are my biggest insecurity and I’m always on the verge of making a similar mistake. So I just am so thankful you opened up. ❤ also I think you look beautiful. ❤
Thank you for your honesty x i suffered with my teeth for years and was so embarrassed about it x u have given me the courage to now be happy with myself n sort it out as much as possible x
Thank you for sharing! There are two things I suffered like you did. Firstly, I had horrible skin. It was AWFUL. Acne is just terrible. Finally, our family MD, (who was himself a sufferer in his youth) prescribed an oral med that cleared it up, and to this day, I will not wear foundation. I can live with the fact that I have freckles, but I don’t have acne. Secondly, my teeth were horrible. My parents intervened with orthodontics, but my teeth were not a pretty color, and I had several missing. The dentist who applied my veneers deserves a Medal of Honor. He and his staff did a wonderful job. I’m by nobody’s standard a “beauty,” but clear skin and nice teeth help my confidence so much. Sorry for the essay. Just want to reaffirm that help is out there for these things!
How brave you are to share your experience regarding your teeth!! I appreciate your honesty and thank you for letting me know, I’m not alone in these “missteps”. I soak in all of your videos, please keep them coming!!!
Anna, glad you found an ethical dentist who wasn't in it for the money. That didn't listen to what you wanted without explaining the facts. The customer is not always right in situations where they don't know anything about the procedures. It's their ethical job to tell you what is best for you and not what's best for their pocketbook. FYI...once a tooth has been prepped for a crown you can't go back to veneers. And please folks, don't listen to friends who aren't in the dental profession, they can steer you in the wrong direction.
I really appreciate the pictures of you from back then. I’m currently struggling to stop the heavy eyeliner. I love how much growth you’ve had and how refined you are. Your videos help so much thank you
Anna, love how you’re sharing that once upon a time, you were inelegant - but this is great because it’s something anyone can learn! On tip #2, for anyone reading this, if you are considering a piercing, it helps to pay a bit more. You are paying for quality and professionalism, not everyone should or can pierce someone. The higher price goes to the piercer’s training and certification on cleanliness, safety, etc. Don’t fall for $10 piercings as tantalizing as they may be, usually a good piercer asks for $40-50 minimum (but ask about their certs too!).
As someone who also gets oily from most sunscreen, I highly recommend Neutrogena Sensitive Skin Face Mineral Sunscreen! This one was a game-changer for me! I actually enjoy putting this on and look forward to it haha because it’s so nice, smooth, and light that if I do forget to apply it, it won’t mess up my makeup when i gently pat it on top! It’s been hard to find it in stores lately and Amazon can be a hit or miss (if it’s grainy it’s not the genuine product).
Omg I'm so glad you mentioned the crowns. I was going to get them myself. I've already spent thousands on my teeth and I'm not sure it was even worth it because they looked completely fine in the first place... It's my biggest insecurity but they've cost me so much time, money and pain. Interfering with bones is a terrible idea if it's not necessary.
Anna, I especially appreciate you sharing your experience with replacing crowns. I am actually in the decision process right now of how to move forward. You gave me some things to think about that I didn’t know before. And I had no idea you were going to talk about that when I started watching this video! Great job and you have a new subbie here! 🤩
Thank you very much Anna for sharing your hairdresser moment and your dentist moment. It's a horrible thing that most of us have been through and it's very frustrating and depressing. Sharing your real problems only makes me admire you more.
I just had my whole mouth redone crowns, bridges and veneers... it was a process that took 3months so I feel you but I'm delighted with the results 🙏 You look perfect Anna honestly x
Anna, you are an inspiration. I come from a similar background and going to a prestigious university, I have met my life partner who is from an extremely different and affluent lifestyle. Your videos have given me so much guidance and assistance. Thank you.
@Anna Bey - total respect for you, and for your courage and hard work. SPF is often awful to wear, but I find that Heliocare (tinted) SPF50 is great, and La Roche Posay UVMune 400 Invisible Tinted are both excellent. The former comes in a large slender tube that won’t bulk out a day handbag, and the latter is a slender design that slips into most small bags with ease. You are an inspiration x
I’ve made the mistake of long eyelashes too. As well as long nails. I used to get really long, colorful nails with designs and then realized thanks to you that it didn’t really fit me. So thank you :)
So sorry you went through that traumatic dental experience, Anna. I work in a cosmetic dental office, and sadly I’ve seen this among many of my patients. I hope your dental journey continues in a positive direction 🙏
Hi Anna ! I discovered your channel a few weeks ago and I like your approach about elegance (not necessarily expensive, essentially a matter of taste and attitude…). And I find it very refreshing !!! I always thought elegance had nothing to do with the budget but with the way we behave. So thank you very much !!! Looking forward to seeing your future work !! 😊
I'm so grateful you decided to open up about your teeth journey! I as well was born with bad teeth, and is my biggest insecurity. Thank you for talking about it, you gave me hope and I don't feel alone anymore ❤️
As a natural copper redhead, I made the mistake of going platinum blonde. It really didn’t look unflattering, but it was a nightmare to keep up and would get the orange tint as well. As I am older and much more “settled” in myself , I have embraced my red hair and now love it. Don’t we all have at least one photo with “bad decision hair?”
Been watching your level up coaching and I do admire your honesty and professionalism. Showing us your past version of yourself and sharing your past embarrassing mistakes shows your maturity, confidence and an encouragement for all of us that’s it’s okey.. that everything can be worked out/managed/improved/changed. Thank you and huge respect to you.
Anna… thank you so much for sharing all of your personal experiences.. when you have the courage to talk about oneself and be vulnerable in front of a camera you become a real role mode! I admired you and my deepest respect!
Oh, boy, Anna! I feel so bad for you that you have to deal with some of these issues. But, please, please, do not refer to yourself as "stupid". You know better than this. Maybe you made an error in judgement, but don't call yourself "stupid". I have made just about every mistake you've made. Experimenting is part of our youth. We all do it. Anna, I pierced my ears MYSELF!!🥺 I'm much older than most of your audience. I have an expression that grounds me in many decisions and it even applies to beauty. "The truth is usually somewhere between two extremes." Extremes usually lead to regrets. ♥️🇨🇦
I still think you're class, Anna. I can see how hard that story was to tell of your teeth. All these stories make you an expert now, as you have lived experience and why we all come here to listen to you. Everything you do not like about yourself will improve because you are working on it. We are all pieces of art working on ourselves and growing (inside and out). I also suffer from oily skin but try this SPF, which I find to be great - La roche poche anthelios factor 50 (square mini bottle). 💗💗💗
The teeth issue is nightmare material but I completely get it! Of course you wanted it done ASAP, I'd be the same! Your teeth look beautiful, Anna, and so do you ❤️ thank you for sharing your stories ❤️
There's a saying that goes along the lines of "I'm too poor to buy cheap things." This isn't to discredit buying affordable items but more to highlight the fact that when you do cut corners and buy cheap you end up paying for it in the long run. Thank you for sharing your story I hope you don't go through something like that again and you truly are beautiful for sharing your experience.
I’m totally with you Anna, I went through so many issues with my teeth and still going through, they charged me SO much money and they didn’t even do a good job. My face, smile and lips don’t look the way they used to look, the worse part is going through the pain I’m going through 😣So sorry you went through all those issues and still do. I pray that you find the right professional to do the right job, you are a beautiful lady though and you are a blessing to many ladies including me. 🥰
Yep! If it doesn’t feel fine, it’s not fine! Glad you are listening to your own body, above your dentist. I hope you find a good dentist that listens to you thoroughly. 🙏
Anna… I’m a new sub, and have to say you’ve developed this into a beautiful and authentic channel that is very different (in a good way) from some of your earlier videos where I wasn’t… sure about you shall we say. But wow am I impressed now with how genuine you are and how articulately you present yourself. I’m delighted to have found you again and you’ve got me hooked! Regarding your teeth issue - I’m SO sorry you had to go through that… I could hear the pain in your voice reliving the experience and I’m thankful you were willing to share that way. Unfortunately I can identify in my own way… people look at me and have no idea that under the exterior is a mouth full of pain and world of anxiety on my shoulders about it. I literally cannot remember a time when my mouth didn’t hurt or I didn’t have to worry about what I ate because of chewing, cold, etc, and I’m not even 40 yet!! It would take me hours to explain everything I’ve been through up to this point especially in my childhood as a result of my bad dental genetics (Ironically, also Swedish!) but I have to let you know that his video inspired me to make an appointment I’ve been dreading and putting off… so thank you for the honesty and vulnerability, I think it helps more people than you know to hear these things spoken of out loud. 💗
Thank you for sharing your story about the challenges you faced with your teeth. I appreciate your honesty and know how self-conscious you can feel when your teeth aren’t looking the way you want.
When I didn’t think I could adore you any more….I do. Thank you for sharing some of your insecurities. At my age of 52, I am now in the long process of getting my smile back. I’ve very similar issues and it has been a struggle. 21:25 Continue to elevate and helping us all to know it’s ok to have insecurities and take care of them no matter our age. Be well💕
Hey Anna! About the SPF, its definitely worth experimenting to find the right one. First off, always use one specifically for the face. Regular body ones will for sure make your face greasy and won't be good with makeup. I looooove the Nivea Sun Mattifying SPF 50 for the face. Its pretty affordable, when put on the skin, once rubbed in it feels like a moisturiser. I wouldn't necessarily say it's 'mattifying' but its less dewy than their others. Works very well when you put concealer and powder over the top. Ive rebought it over 10 times by now, in fact I bought 2 more tubes today as my current one is running out. ALSO KEEP IT IN YOUR MAKEUP BAG, I never forget this way!!! :)
Hi, I've got a question I've always wanted to ask. Do you have to wash all your makeup off to reapply throughout the day or can you reapply over the makeup?
the extrem sun bloc trend is not healthy at all. The skin cannot breath, often it contains super unhealthy nano chemicals and in many parts of the world humans do not get enough sun for vitamin D production and even less these days when majority works indoor. Both extrems too much sun and not enogh sun are very unhealthy.
@@razzi.rockets I feel like if you put on a full coverage foundation and a setting powder you wouldn't need to reapply the SPF 😬 And anyway..even if you do, on any kind of foundation it would just turn in to a big mess... 🤷🏻♀️
Thank you for sharing this, Anna! I absolutely understand just how scary and vulnerable it can be to share your past mistakes, let alone the things you're currently going through that still feel uncomfortable! It takes a lot of courage to do so ❤
Anna you werent born into luxury and elegance, you grew and matured into it...it is much harder to be an outsider going into that kind of world. You actually had to learn the when, what, and most importantly the "why" of classy living, this shapes you to be a better person than the people who were born into it...because they just do what they were told from a young age and become indoctrinated. Having an outside view and perspective also allows you to empathize with ladies that live outside of your bubble as well, so many who grew up rich are just snobby and stuck up with no idea what the average persons struggle is like
❤️🙏
💯
Agreed! 💕
agree with you 💯
Absolutely 💯! This is why we love and respect you so much, Anna!
My beauty mistake was not loving myself enough. Now that I do, I hardly go wrong with how I choose to do my make-up or what I choose to wear.
This the one!!!! 👑
Yes! So true.
this is so true!
It takes a lot to acknowledge your mistakes AND talk about it with everyone. Massive respect for you Anna ❤️

Yes thank you for your courage ❤love your videos
Am really impressed by the past pictures...She has earned even more of my respect for her honesty and for how far she has come! It made me trust her advice even more! Much respect!
Anna, I am not going to lie, I started watching you with some judgment, thinking you were just another influencer wanna-be. I wasn’t looking to “level-up”. But I have learned quite a bit from your content on how to refine my look, even if I’m just out walking my dog. 😄 I love how real you are and that you don’t pretend that everything has always been a fairytale in your life. Excellent work!
Same.

Can t wait to watch ! But all "mistakes" leads to the elegant lady you are today
@@SC-gp7kt
@@g.970 they are starting to form holes on the surface that touches the opposing teeth, like they are wearing out
So sweet of you to share your struggles with others. Your honesty is beautiful!

Despite your flaws, you are such a beautiful/elegant woman wanting to pass down information to the younger generation. You are very inspirational and I love heeding your knowledge. Always
Your success is apparent.
And older!
I’m a make up artist and I can say that bad make up can be your worst enemy
And good make up can be your bestie 😘
Are you in the states? Do you have a channel?
Pure guts and courage to share this with us, but surely appreciate you are trying to help this sister community with good advice.
Sister community 😍 luv this
You really helped me realize it is never to late to change yourself for the better.
Thank you for sharing your insecurities and being open about your learning process. So many “influencers” are dishonest about their procedures and mistakes and alienate all of us normal people. You genuinely want to help all women make improvements, you’re not jealously defending your superior position like so many other women do. This is why we love you!
Thank you for your kind words and support! 😘
Yes, Anna genuinely wants to help us.
Bless you!
Sharing such personal embarrassments is a generous, classy thing for you to do, Anna. I really feel that you are motivated to help others.
The 3D ones are plastic resin.
dental hygienist from italy, that part of the teeth was horror, I can't imagine how terrible was it for anna
THIS thread is so important! TV ads bombard viewers with the idea that “you can have a whole new smile in less than 24 hours”…. DONT DO IT! Thank you Anna for being so Brave.
Another American hygienist here and I also completely agree with you!
I start hygiene school in a year! Comments like yours make me
Excited for school and my career :)
Thank you for your honesty and willingness to share “what not to do”. Love you.
Oh well live and learn as they say.
hi, I'm also considering doing this. If I may ask, where have you done your surgery of breast reduction? I live in Europe. Thank you !
I have done it when I was 26. The best decision ever!!!!! Now my daughter is getting ready for that.
It’s medical when your doctor documents it as ‘back pain needing breast reduction’. It’s not a cosmetic procedure and it IS very painful for people. A problem I never understand bcz I never had ‘em big.
For an oil free sun block that doesn't feel heavy on the skin too I would recommend Farmasi Dr C. Tuna Sun Cream Face Cream spf 50
It takes a lot of courage to be this transparent Anna. Thank you.❤
We all have things in our past we're not proud of.
I admire your courage, authenticity, and desire to share your lessons with us
As a retired dentist I am so glad that you are bringing to light the differences in crowns I am sooo sorry that you had to go through that though
@@raheeeg same. I ended up getting 5 root canals and I’m currently paying 7k usd for Invisalign

Yes I learned about the classy nail polish colors through here !
I have fallen more in love with ANNA ! Her honesty, your testimony my lady it's a A+ ❣
Anna, you should be proud of yourself for sharing these stories with us, especially the last one.
Hugs to you. I have Graves’ disease too.
@@Stacey_LaValley_Lambert Thank you so much! Hugs to you too
This is going to sound weird, but to assist my oily skin, I do a very counterintuitive thing: I use oils at night and I am not afraid of oily products.
I've heard people doing this
This is why cold cream worked for millions of women.
Yes this is exactly what I did as well and it took about 2 months for my skin to reset itself.
What oils do you use?
Me too girl ! 90s child, pencil thin 🤣 now no tails at all ! Sad day for brows 🙈❤️
Dental issues are the worst! Always choose a dentist that will do the correct thing! It takes a long time but worth it in the long run
Eye brows
Unfortunately Italians do this a lot (and I'm Italian so I'm not trying to be offensive..I'm just being honest)
I’ve also found a French brand that my skin doesn’t leave a white cast or react to
Yes and Korean one they are heaven to oily and problematic skin! My favourite at the moment is Beauty of Joseon sunscreen it so light 😍
Yes! I used Korean sunscreen and it's one of the things I would take to a deserted island lol
Try ANESSA Sunscreen! If you have oily skin, do the milk versions!
My mistake, as a teen was messing up my eyebrows ....it has taken years to recover , fortunately at 20 years old I went to a proffesional who told me to stop messing my eyebrowns and since then I took care of them.

As for me, I did bleach my hair in my early teens,I was not allowed to redo it so my hair ended up looking half blonde half dark which did not look good at all..I was called stupid blonde,I got sick of it so I cut it really short which absolutely didn’t suit me..I had to wait a very long time to get my hair at a good looking length again.I never re dyed it up until 3 years ago.
I’m sending you much love and looking forward to your next video.
I like front gaps. 😍
You’re such an inspiration 💕 I was embarrassed about my teeth issues but thank you for talking about it 💕
“SUPERGOOP!” UNSEEN SUNSCREEN, SPF 40, I bought in Sephora.
It also acts as a makeup-gripping primer that’s perfect for all skin tones.”
I’m not advertising this brand, I truly want to share my experience with people who are picky as me and try to find the perfect product.
It’s really is that good!👍🏼
Btw, I never comment on anything:)
It’s literally my first time ever, haha.
I like your videos Anna! I’m 50 and still want to learn something and improve myself😉
I love that primer too! It’s my favorite spf primer. I’m wearing it right now. Best sunscreen for the face with or without makeup. I find that I do need to powder with it on tho if I want to stay matte.
I think they’re having a 15% off sale right now by the way.
My best friend has greasy skin and she swears by this too! Everything else just melts off of her lol
Korean sunscreens are also formulated to be lighter for people in a more humid climate.
I would also suggest Sun screen spray but Banana Boat or nutrogena A nice coat of it on the back, face and neckz
Your videos are getting better and better everytime. Helping us women improve ! ✨❤️
Oh god!
I never knew i would ever admit it but i did make a mistake of heavy dark make up during a day event and it took me a long time to realise why my mom literally hated it and asked me to take it off immediately.
Lesson learnt.
I love how real you are. You're honest, and I appreciate that
YOU ARE A TRUE HERO TO WOMEN!! So brave to reveal your mistakes esp about your teeth....so embarrassing to admit but you told us anyway. I applaud your courage!! 👏 ✌️ 👏
Anna: Here in USA, my friend had her ear sewn up and re-pierced by a dermatologist. It was simple, painless and inexpensive❤️
Yes , I did long back in India mumbai
I went in for a check up and he was like, "Oh, so have I ever mentioned she has a heart murmur too?"
Since then, I don't trust doctors easily at all.
Anna I love your videos and I appreciate your way of being so open with your followers
we should always keep our original teeth as much as possible :/ I’m sure braces would have worked for her.. never heard of a case where they didn’t work
why not veneers? I thought they were not invasive, you just stick them on your natural teeth
@@AdelaPondelickova You need to have pretty decent teeth for veneers to be feasible.
That hurts my heart. 💔 I wish you well with your future teeth.
I too have never had basic dental education from my parents, and that's something weird. like how on earth parents forget to tell their kids about the health of their such an important body part?. .
exact same things here! I had to get my crowns at the age of 18 with my sister's salary
Thank you for being transparent and vulnerable. That takes courage! Your tips are always so helpful 🙏
I love that you are honest about these things! We all have things we regret today, but there's no shame in recognizing it
I really appreciate you sharing your dentistry journey.
Anna lashes on beauty.Annah and the king.
I don’t know you have this in europe or not but in Indonesia, there is Loreal sunscreen that’s called Perfect Matted. It’s nice for oily skin
Also for re applying & touch ups it you can try the SuperGoop powder SPF
It's the only one I use on my oily skin
I just had my whole mouth redone crowns, bridges and veneers... it was a process that took 3months so I feel you but I'm delighted with the results 🙏
You look perfect Anna honestly x
La Roche-Posay 60 SPF serum is very light under makeup. Let it absorb before applying your normal routine of makeup… thanks for your content.
Hada Labo Aqua milk (blue bottle 40 ml) also great a d very esthetically pleasant
Same story. Was destroying my hair for years. Now ( for about 4 years)I’m finally natural
The Laroche posay invisible fluid is amazing 🤩 SPF 50 and super super lightweight!
Anna, I pierced my ears MYSELF!!🥺
I'm much older than most of your audience.
I just love how you embrace your past mistakes. You are my hero and mentor.
You have earned respect from all of us, you are so brave.. ❤️ i love you❤️
Thank you for sharing your story about the challenges you faced with your teeth.
Be well💕
Thank you so much for sharing your past with us! Your glow up is really an inspiration for everyone ❤️
@@razzi.rockets Reapply over makeup, usually with a tapping motion or with a sunstick.
@@razzi.rockets I reapply over my makeup, but then I have to touch my makeup up afterwards
the extrem sun bloc trend is not healthy at all. The skin cannot breath, often it contains super unhealthy nano chemicals and in many parts of the world humans do not get enough sun for vitamin D production and even less these days when majority works indoor. Both extrems too much sun and not enogh sun are very unhealthy.
@@razzi.rockets I feel like if you put on a full coverage foundation and a setting powder you wouldn't need to reapply the SPF 😬
And anyway..even if you do, on any kind of foundation it would just turn in to a big mess... 🤷🏻♀️
Thank you so much for your open and honest account of your experience with your teeth. It’s so reassuring to hear how genuine and real you are ❤ xxx
We love you and look forward to ALL of your videos. You are just great and your advice is priceless to us. Keep up the good work!❤️
Thank you for sharing this, Anna! I absolutely understand just how scary and vulnerable it can be to share your past mistakes, let alone the things you're currently going through that still feel uncomfortable! It takes a lot of courage to do so ❤
