    In a tactical race focusing on a short sprint finish, strong 800m runners benefit from their basic speed advantage. Considering the Olympic 1500m Final to be the third 1500m race within five days, this might be a relative advantage for strong long distance runners due to their specific recovery skills. Having a throw back on the Tokyo Final three years ago, we saw 19yo Jakob Ingebrigtsen winning gun to tape in a new OR of 3:28 which was personal best at that time. It looks like Jakob Ingebrigtsen has even improved since. It will be exciting and we will love it!

    Jakob has consistently shown he's in a rarified space, being barely a half second away from the 1500 & mile WR's.
    Running ac3:45 mile off lack of training & injury @ Pre demonstrated quite clearly : The writing is on the wall.
    Furthermore Jakob has shown his deep burning desire to succeed for quite a long period of time ,since teenage years. Even though he's not still coached by his dad---Jakob continues to elevate to the highest historical levels. Both WR's are his, it's merely a matter of time.
    I hope he pulls off a David Rudisha in the Olympics!!

    Nice analysis. Jakob is a great championship runner - global and European. The loss to Wightman in 2022 was the only time he miscalculated, and Jake ran a SUPERB race. Jakob was held back by illness during the 2023 championship, managing silver in the 1500 and gold in the 5000 by the narrowest margin.

    Great content can you make a 800m video and the suspicious improvements of some athletes Wanyoni and Sedjati were kinda linear progressive sedjati ran a 2:13 1k in a training camp at altitude this spring so 🤷‍♀️

    Of course the kickers also are good athletes and have their possibility. But remember, the kickers always at least have one steady pacer in 13-1400 m at a 1500 m race, and some might not keep up with too fast pacing like the rest of the field in Monaco. But as Jakob told in a interview after the race that he think it's a lot of outstanding athletes at 1500 m now, remember Timothy and the other Kenyan guy had 3.28, 71 and ,80, and this is no walk in the park because a lot of athletes can and want to win an Olympic gold medal. Talking about pacers, in the world record run by Hicham El G. on 1500 m in 1998 he had great pacing to 300 m was left of the run. This is an incredible fast WR, but as the Olympic Champion on 800 m from Atlanta in 1996 told in Monaco. He told that Ingebrightsen came directly from a hard training camp and had the 1500 m in Monaco as a workout and test after a hard training camp in the hight monuntains. And the old Olympic Champ then told that after some fine tuning and resting this 1500 m WR is living very dangerously.

      The thing is that Ingebrigsten is going to act as everyone’s pacer during the race as he just front runs and tries to outwork everyone. So even if the kickers aren’t comfortable without a pacer they will still have Jakob to “help” them. That being said I think Jakob will just be too fit for everyone. If what you say is true about the training camp, then I’m even more excited for the 1500!

      @@AdamJansen786 wrong-Jakob is NOT pacing anyone other than himself---he has tunnel vision,& quite frankly doesn't give a damn what other so called " contenders" are doing. This is as it should be because let's be honest the only person you can control is yourself!

      I think that if he does the same devastating race, that is, he always stays in pole position, he could be world champion, we all know that Jakob doesn't have the final sprint that Kerr does!

  • @robinbauer1975
    @robinbauer1975 6 месяцев назад

    Still sad for Laross
    Ingebrigtsen is the favourite for gold. But he will now have his god complex and think he runs a 3:26 without pacers and after three rounds
    Like tf no he won’t in tokyo he had a pacer (cheruiyot)
    There are guys with more dynamic speed but I don’t think kerr will repeat. And in jake wightmans absence I don’t see anyone beating him the americans will be rolled af as usual and cheruiyot has a too small brain to understand what he has to do in a race to beat him (sit and kick)

    • @AdamJansen786
      @AdamJansen786  6 месяцев назад +1

      Yes I see Jakob winning this regardless of pacer. He’s just so fit right now it’s gonna take a lot for people to stick with him and then also out kick him. Kerr has the best shot of it though.

      "He will have is god complex and think he runs 3.26 without pacers and after three rounds"? What on earth makes you think he doesnt understand that this race is completely different than the olympics? Of course you have to use as little effort in the first two rounds, and of course you wont run anything near record pace in the final in the Olympics. Jakob knows this better than anybody. I think its YOU that has a god complex, if you think what you are saying is anything but obvious.
