Are 800m Athletes ABUSING PEDS - Monaco Diamond League Reaction
Djamel Sedjati just achieved a new world lead in the men's 800m in the Monaco diamond league just 1 week after hitting 1:41 times in the Paris Diamond League. These breakout performances have lead many to accuse him and other athletes such as Gabriel Tual to be Doping. In this video I analyse the validity of those claims.

The biggest red flag is in the longer distance events where PEDs make too much of a difference, however doping is so widespread for around 70 years now its absurd to even consider it cheating, it should be legal and done safely. That being said an 800m time under 1:43 certainly under 1:42.5 is basically impossible without doping. Its the lying and corruption that people dont like, ask anyone if they would prefer to see Bolt run 9.6 or 9.9 and it would be unanimous that they want to see 9.6. People like watching doped athletes, the problem is that the media and the IAAF led by a serial doper and liar Seb Coe will demonize scapegoats and polarize people to be against doping while the most doped athletes win and are celebrated as being clean, its nonsense and a complete mess of egos protecting egos, controlling races like gangsters used to do. Its incredibly easy for favoured athletes to pass tests, they will fail drug testing and the results will be discarded nobody will know about it but everyone will see the performance on track. To put it into modern perspective lets use the recent example of a different sport Cycling. Cycling has a huge history of doping and should be and claims to be one of the cleanest and most strictly tested sports in the world. It has a lot of data from proven dopers who raced at speeds which are impossible to do "clean" Tadej Pogacar has just won the Tour De France in an incredibly suspicious manner, not just beating old doped records of Pantani, Indurain and Lance Armstrong but decimating them by minutes and doing this on back to back stages. He was set to compete in the Olympics but pulled out due to "extreme fatigue" even though he was not exhausted after these performances he made it look easy, a stark contrast to other riders in the race that actually struggled. He isnt competing at the Olympics because he doesnt have the same favouritism he does in the Cycling world, he isnt friends with the right people, its like a prime Mike Tyson pulling out of an Olympic boxing tournament due to low testosterone weeks after destroying an opponent , its a complete joke. The same thing goes on with Athletics, it all depends who is favoured and who isnt leading the world to believe that some special athletes can leave everyone else in the dust, and technically they can but at world level everyone is special and a great number of them have been historically proven to be doping too. In sprints this is a very small difference but at 400m and longer the advantages become so much more there does appear a level that just isnt possible clean. Sometimes track surfaces give faster times Im not naive, the Rome circuit for example adds about 20-30cm to everyones long jump/triple jump. Updated track surfaces and shoes have made the 400m hurdles about a clear second faster, but not the flat running, Warholm was barely able to beat his hurdles world record in a 400m flat race shortly after setting the record. Doping is only called cheating by the people who want to control and manipulate the results, doping has never been a part of the rules of sports until someone uses it as leverage and whenever theres money or political influence in sports theres a ton of corruption, it hasnt changed. The only way for it to actually change is if doping is legalised and all the past athletes celebrated for their performances, medals returned, hypocrisy defeated. With Seb Coe as president of Athletics it will never happen, he has the same stance as a politician waging a war on drugs while profitting massively from drugs. The same 2 bit techniques like polarizing the masses to hate and to be negative, to favour one drug and not the other. Think about the athletes who ran on drugs while they were legal, Bob Hayes, Jim Hines etc nobody calls these athletes cheaters because they were not but they were very doped. Think about all the drugs that athletes took because they were not yet on the banned list, DECADES of evidence there of athletes who would be strongly against any doping taking anything they can to enhance their performance as long as it was legal. Legal or not its absolutely doping. Point is dont hate on athletes for doping, its always happened, when a country gets to host the Olympics or WC its not rare for every athlete in that country to suddenly get so much better, everyone is used to majors producing personal bests national records even world records. Humans simply cannot improve that much without help and it should be transparent for everyone to enjoy and celebrate. Humans will also join the dots when it comes to performances, they will call out the suspicious and they are not wrong to do so, whats wrong is the corruption behind it all the lying. Sedjati is 100% doped and is 100% awesome and I hope he puts on a great show and is celebrated without contraversy. Who wouldnt want to see Pogacar at the Olympic road race? Errion Knighton in the 200m? and everyone else. Its fair to level the playing field and just like Cycling it is not in the sports interests to clean up doping just to control it for favoured athletes, many of them taking supplements and doctors prescriptions that are PEDs while being told they arent so when questioned they genuinely believe they dont dope and are able to pass a lie detector doing so. Name one top professional who doesnt go and see a doctor regularly and who doesnt take supplements, thats right you cant. They are all marvellous.

There are some very potent PEDs that have not been banned that are very effective 400m and above. They may be using something legal. No question they are using something, just what it is. If you make olympic finals you are using something. Also can sleep in an altitude chamber. Pushes natural epo production way up.

Given they are now running times that Coe was doing 40 years ago, there is absolutely no doubt that Coe and others in that era were on drugs. How could Peter Elliott run that fast with a full time job? I'm not being serious, I am just highlighting that accusing people of being on drugs just because they run fast is ridiculous. Also, most athletes know that they often plateau before a jump forward in performance. That is normal

The 19th fastest 800m of all time was 6th place on July 7th in the first race and the 3rd, 4th, and 5th fastest times of all time have been run since July 7th. Actually 9 of the fastest 19 runners of all time just occurred since July 7th. It's IMPOSSIBLE to say this is normal. I can promise that drugs have always played a part but the difference is right now there is something they are not seeing or it's something untraceable because since 2022 track times have been off the charts and there has not been a significant enough anything happening that the entire median outcome of nearly every event has spiked for the first time since the 2000s to 2010s. Everything was stable from 2010 until recently then people like SAFP unexpectedly became faster at 34 years old, after having a baby? Last year with Issam Asinga I said IMMEDIATELY something is up. He opened his junior year running 10.9 100ms and 22.6 200m and crested at 10.7 in the 100m state finals and just below 22 200ms. He did have a faster time in both at random events but wind aided and not something other worldly then he opens at 10 flat and 20 flat? Then runs a whole season at that mark? He's not the only one. In the New Balance finals Nyckoles Arbor was the nect it guy in his sophomore year. He had a defent junior year and a better senior year running 10.2s and 10.3z but got like 5th in Boston at nationals. Half the field ran 10.1 something or below. SAFP, take a look at her progressions. She was running 13 100ms at 17/8 years old like wtf? Kishane Thompson too. Then over the last 2 years 20 or so guys under 20 have ran just at 10 for 100m or 20 for 200m, every year. I know 98% of fans want to pretend it's not happening but people who were in those positions and have seen how things change so quick realize when people are on vs when people are REALLY on. People are REALLY on right now.

AGAIN, REMEMBER that many, even most or nearly all PEDs and their use result in gains maintained LONG after cessation of use. While noxious side effects occur in some or many, in reality, from personality to cardiovascular, muscular, hematologic, respiratory, neural, systems DO benefit in persistent ways. Yes, a few effects important to improved efficiency, DO dissipate. BUT, once enhanced, a n individual differs for years from the unenhanced. Thus, i lose interest immediately in ANY whose performance significantly varies from others with similar genetics - See muscle typology for exceptions. When those having these variations dominate a sport, it becomes uninteresting as well..

The performances in a lot of running events have increased exponentially in the last couple of years. It's not just a few athletes who are breaking their PB - it's most athletes. Last year the men's 1500 was the best ever by depth by a long way. This year the 800 performances by most of the best athletes in the world are phenomenal. Is everyone cheating? I don't know but I doubt it. Footwear has made a big difference in the longer distances a couple of years ago so is it having an effect in the shorter distances now as well?

On EPO, something looked over is the impact of altitude on haemoglobin and red cell count... Very well established link, kenyan atheltes all train at altitudes. People like to pretend Sport is fair and a meritocracy. It just isnt, it isnt fair by its very nature, its about genetic freaks and geography of where you are from and how that impact the modifications found in your body by adaptations. Did michael phelps dope? Maybe but not anymore than other swimmers But was it fair? No that man was a genetic freak basically designed for swimming and even if everyone trained to same amount, doped the same amount, he would still smoek them because his proportions and genetic gifts are freaky. East africans live in conditions that are MADE for middle to long distance runners to excel. Why is this not mentioned? Need to get over this idea that sport is fair in any way or a meritocrcy at teh elite levels, it just isnt, its about who wont the genetic lottery.

With the times they are running and the progression they've made this year, they are sure to be some of the most doping tested athletes currently. Call me a fool all you want and if they ever do get caught I will lay myself flat, but until then I believe in them all. In 2022, he was stronger in training but not performing on the field. He could ran 1'43. (Difficulties at the end of races) On 2023 he broke his clavicle, and he wasn't able to enter in huge meetings such as diamond leagues ones. An frustrating and empty season regarding Robert's or Meziane's one (French athletes) In 2024 I never saw him so strong in training.

Cela n'a aucun sens.

It's so easy to dope now that all the top guys here are doing it. There is zero chance of getting caught unless you are a dimwit like Muhammed Katir. Even Muhammed Farah got away with it (or when caught was he protected).

in his defense, he already had top results, being the bronze medalist from budapest, but not really the time to match it. his progression makes a little more sense with that in mind. still quite notable how everyone are having the peaks of their lives with paris coming up.

I would have said it's so bad for the sport when random people on RUclips accuse those who have achieved the best performances in the history of athletics, especially when, as far as I know, they have never tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs and have always been clean. What makes me laugh even more is the fact that you accuse Algeria of having a history of using performance-enhancing drugs, but when it comes to giving examples, you say, "Ah, a former world champion Algerian's coach (who isn't even Algerian) had some accusations." Come on, how is this an argument? This video is pathetic. Somehow, social media has made it normal to accuse world elite athletes of their progression without any proof.

When you state that the "average" person can run a 5K between 25-33 mins that should be qualified as someone who is actually training. Considering that the true "average" person in Europe or North America is overweight and doesn't exercise regularly, that is misleading. Even the "average" Parkrun time at the slow end of this range, 32 minutes according to their website, and although an entry-level still requires some basic fitness and training to even be able to finish!

Dude, you need to change the name of your RUclips channel... it's actually quite good! Definitely a cut above the plethora of click-bait, b-team, RUclips channels that seem to be proliferating around athletics these days. Please, get a catchier handle and keep posting quality content!
