I always thought Mo Farah was taking something for similar reasons. Mo went from not being able to win the European championships to winning gold in Bejing. The first half of his career he was a good athlete but not a contender, then he hooks up with Salazar, who has multiple athletes busted for drugs, and went on to dominate for the rest of his career.

Salazar was a huge dope king. Open secret in Eugene. "Prove it" they would say... Galen Rupp dropping off the face of the earth after Alberto got banned... in fact, almost all of his athletes took time off retired or got terribly bad right after... hmm, that's not how training and working hard works.

Actually 9 of the fastest 19 runners of all time just occurred since July 7th. It's IMPOSSIBLE to say this is normal. I can promise that drugs have always played a part but the difference is right now there is something they are not seeing or it's something untraceable because since 2022 track times have been off the charts and there has not been a significant enough anything happening that the entire median outcome of nearly every event has spiked for the first time since the 2000s to 2010s. This is what I mean when it comes to racism in the sport. Yes people like sedjati are suspicious but why aren’t people kicking up as much a fuss about Hull or Tual. It especially annoys me when people use countries as a primary form of evidence that someone is doping. I mean sure, it doesn’t help someone’s case, but just because someone’s from Kenya doesn’t mean they are definitely doping.

I might be very biased because I'm french and I have followed Tual for a bit of time (and you made me realised I might have had an other opinion if I was from somewhere else).
But to me it's not so suspicious to have a very good season after some seasons of plateau. Tual have been on the top of european 800m athletes for some years now, and he showed some consistency in his time. If you look the time of his season, you can see he is peaking since the end of june ; he broke his pb 3 times. Moreover, 2 of these 3 races were extremely fast races. To me that's more a sign of very high from all athletes, than of doping.
For Sedjati, he was indeed not very known, but he has shown very good times since 2021. It's less supsicious than Katir's case, where his progression was just insane, which as you said, he went from "good in his country" to "world top 5" in only one season. That's wild.
But I'll wait to make my opinion. Will these athletes show good form in the future, will sedjati continues his progression ?

One point I'd differ on, a pro/Olympic 1500m runner once said to me that never running a bad race was a red flag on the circuit for a doper. I.e. Normally an athlete will have a one or two stinkers in a year, so the super hi-po consistent athletes were, for this pro at least, the one's investing in the juice year round, as it's just not natural to be always on your game. In the New Balance finals Nyckoles Arbor was the nect it guy in his sophomore year. He had a defent junior year and a better senior year running 10.2s and 10.3z but got like 5th in Boston at nationals. Half the field ran 10.1 something or below. Given they are now running times that Coe was doing 40 years ago, there is absolutely no doubt that Coe and others in that era were on drugs. How could Peter Elliott run that fast with a full time job? I'm not being serious, I am just highlighting that accusing people of being on drugs just because they run fast is ridiculous.
Also, most athletes know that they often plateau before a jump forward in performance. That is normal

In my opinion he should just retire... In the 200m Knighton tested positive. The Jamaicans are getting extra scrutiny in the 100m also

The performances in a lot of running events have increased exponentially in the last couple of years. It's not just a few athletes who are breaking their PB - it's most athletes. Last year the men's 1500 was the best ever by depth by a long way. This year the 800 performances by most of the best athletes in the world are phenomenal. Is everyone cheating? I don't know but I doubt it. Footwear has made a big difference in the longer distances a couple of years ago so is it having an effect in the shorter distances now as well?

Cela n'a aucun sens.

I would like to see Sedjati's athletes biological passport.
Patterson has a full athlete biological passport, so we are not quite as suspicious as Sedjati. Although no one is above suspicion when you are running those sort of times.
The athletics authorities are just the the cycling authorities. they do their best to cover up the cheating, because they need hero's , they need their Mo Farah's to keep the publics attention.
Middle distance running relies on speed, strength and stamina, so i get suspicious when i see young athletes do amazing times, like Nigel Amos.
I think its about time that some of these offending countries were suspended from international athletes until they get their house in order.

I would have said it's so bad for the sport when random people on RUclips accuse those who have achieved the best performances in the history of athletics, especially when, as far as I know, they have never tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs and have always been clean. What makes me laugh even more is the fact that you accuse Algeria of having a history of using performance-enhancing drugs, but when it comes to giving examples, you say, "Ah, a former world champion Algerian's coach (who isn't even Algerian) had some accusations." Come on, how is this an argument? This video is pathetic. Somehow, social media has made it normal to accuse world elite athletes of their progression without any proof.

Let's be honest about Lamont Marcel Jacob's. He didn't win that race. The drugs they gave him did. And Men's Tokyo 1500, are we really pretending that a "tactical" race was slower than the women's??? This sport has a serious aesthetics problem, and it's called paid winning or picking the winner.
