Your burl island bowls are magnificent! Who would have thought that those two lumps of wood destined for the firewood heap were keepers of secret continents and worlds of beauty! Excellent job, Jim!
I watch every video but I never comment. I figured you have given me so much enjoyment over the last 2 years that the least I could do was to comment and thank you. You make wonderful videos. I love how contientious and detailed you are and also how positive you are. You are just a breath of fresh air every week. Not to mention that you do do great work. Thanks again and best wishes from about 3 hours north of you.
Thank you very much! I really appreciate it!
I agree, I have been following for a long time but just don’t comment. I’m trying to comment more, because he seems to like it a lot. Like you can hear it in his voice
Love the vibrant colours. I’m sure Martin will be very happy!
You do amazing work love your videos ,your vey informative ,I’ve learn so much more to help me get back into woodturning
Me too. His voice is so calming and sometimes I fall asleep 😊
I love a deep grained wood bowl, but a burl with a gloss resin finish takes a piece to a whole new level. Both of these bowls are just beautiful.
I totally agree! Thanks
Wow Jim. These Bowles are sooo waay cool! The colors, the pearlescence, the chatoyance… Everything is there!
Thank you very much
hey jim you really did it this time i am telling you those 2 bowls are a real work of art, and again thanks for not playing music ,its getting harder to find clean videos like yours you got one of the best on youtube later buddy
Thanks again!
Love the red bowl when you showcased it at the end of the video. The black shadow of the burl…….gives it the look of being on fire. Gorgeous bowls
Thank you very much!
Amazing work as always Jim! Loving walking by my Halloween bowl every day!
Great! Thanks!
These burl pieces turned out magnificently. Just love the little islands in that gorgeous swirly resin
Thank you very much!
Amazing pieces Jim. Always a pleasure to watch you create!
Designer epoxy
Thank you very much!
Both are stunning! The red looks like flames! The blue like islands with blue inlets!
Totally! Thanks
That pearl makes colors really pop. Loved it. 🌻
Thanks 😊
Designer Epoxy
Oh My! What a beautiful set of bowls! I too adore the pearlescent colors. Such shiny!!!😬
Love my shinny bowls! Thanks
Really cool looking bowls. I’m blown away at the character and vibrancy that the burl and epoxy combos give. Love it!
Thank you very much
Love the two bowls, but I think the blue one is my favorite. You make Friday fun.
Great! Thanks!
Started watching your channel about a month ago and love it. I had to go back to the beginner to watch all your video's. The blue bowl in this video is my favorite bowl so far.
Thank you very much!
That Rainbow Blue/Blue Laguna combo is super cool! Awesome project.
Thank you very much
These are the most beautiful bowls I've ever seen ❤️. My daughter titled them "Fire and Ice"
That would be fitting. Thanks!
I love the center of the blue bowl, while spinning the center looks like a Celtic symbol. Gorgeous!!!
Thank you very much
These are both wonerful pieces. I love the figuring on the inside of the blue bowl. Then i just really really think that the red one makes the wood really stand out. Great job, thanks for sharing with us😊
Thank you so much!
I could not agree with you more. Epoxy opens up so many doors for turning garbage wood into, what I feel ,as art. We have very little control over what the pigments do, but I am sure you will agree what they do on their own is awesome. Thanks for your videos!
Absolutely! Thanks for watching!
I agree with you, Jim, these are two spectacular bowls!! Thanks for making these great videos for all to enjoy. Please keep the magic going!
Designer epoxy
Thank you very much!
Jim those are the most beautiful designer epoxy bowls that you have ever designed.I am learning more with everyone of your videos on how to improve on my turning technique. I will have to purchase some additional equipment to make some projects a little easier but at the same time more beautiful. Thanks for all the great lessons.
Thanks!
Love that color. Another beautiful piece. The blue would be my personal favorite.
E too! Thanks
Beautiful as usual! The blue is always a show stopper!
It really is! Thanks!
Mark is going to be very happy with these bowls. I like the blue one Best. Nice job.
😎👍👍👍👍👍👍😎
Thank you very much
Wow. Those burl bowls really pop. They turned out amazing. I also like the shotgun bowl. The worm holes are a really interesting effect. Even with the epoxy your work still looks organic. I really appreciate the voice overs too. Designer epoxy
Awesome! Thank you very much!
I don't want to be a spoiler for anyone who hasn't seen what you did with the cores... but guys,,,, it's worth watching! So glad you can make the most of everything Jim!!!
Thank you very much!
Love the Burl Island Bowls
One lucky customer for sure. Please do a replay for yourself
⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟⭐️
Thank you very much!
Both bowls are beautiful ! I especially love the red bowl. The burl wood is awesome in it! You are so talented!
Thank you so much!
Oh, I really love this bowls. The red one is my favorite, this gleaming in the wood matches the pearly sheen in the resin. Burl Islands are really so great, in every piece of art that you do. And I really hope to have a lathe sometime to do something like that as well!
You are a master of your art, and I am learning a lot from your videos. Thank you for your work, and that you share it with us!
Please greet your chickens from me! Mine did have their first contact with snow yesterday and they were really baffled and irritated. LOL.
Monika, Bavaria, Germany
Thanks for watching
Jim, I have to say these two bowls are spectacular buddy they really turned out fantastic I think what really makes them special is the colours you chose for them. well done.
Thank you kindly
Absolutely beautiful pieces. I really like the burl with resins. The resin colors were stunning with these burls.
Thank you very much
Watching you turn has given me the itch to try it. I just finished a center piece out of oak burl. It is not bad for a beginner
I love watching you turn. You make it look so easy.
Thank you very much!
Jim, I gotta say, I really appreciate your thinking when it comes to thin, delicate stuff. I'm a six and a half foot tall ogre and prefer things to be built sturdy and built to last. Keep the bowl thick, so they aren't flimsy!
Agreed! Thanks for watching!
Each week I am amazed! Another great project
Thank you very much
Absolutely stunning...just stunning. I thought of them as islands about 30 seconds before you said it aloud. Great minds think a like!
Thank you very much
Absolutely gorgeous works of art. I look forward to your video’s as I love watching you make beautiful bowls out of pieces of wood and bright colours of epoxy resin. I think these bowls are definitely special.
Thanks 😊
Beautiful bowls. The blue was my favourite too!
Thanks 😊
Great job of the two bowls they turned out beautiful. Marty should be proud of them. Great gob. You inspire me to try harder in my turnings.
Great! Get er done! Thanks
I think both goals are beautiful, really like them.
Thanks!
Wow, Jim. Two absolutely beautiful bowls.
Thank you very much
Those burls are amazing!
I see a bear in the bottom of the blue bowl and a dragon in the red bowl. The colours are fantastic! Love them both! Just stunning! ❤️
Thank you very much
The bowls look so amazing like a new planet. Hava Goodun Jim
Thanks!
Beautiful bowls and great use of firewood! I like just wood and hybrid bowls of all types, very creative!
Thank you very much!
Looks amazing, they make a brilliant pair, like water and fire, it is stunning what you can make out of a old bit of fire wood and a little resin
Totally! Thanks
Both bowls is Absolutely beautiful !
Thanks!
I always look forward to the burl epoxy bowls.
Thank you very much!
Hi Jim the burl and red resin and the burl with the blue resin look really cool. The bowls are really lovely and the wood has really nice grain and markings such as spalting marks. I love watching your videos and I like how you explain everything I find it very interesting and helpful. Thanks for a great video you are a master craftsman and master woodturner. Take care from Amanda xx
Thank you very much! I really appreciate it!
Gorgeous bowls Jim! I just love the way the burls show up with colour in-between. Cheers
Glad you like them!
The burl / resin combos are so beautiful and such an excellent use of otherwise unusable wood. The red is nice, but the blue is spectacular. If you kept it, I'm sure we could alibi you. 😉
Thanks 😊
Watching for the 2nd time! I always learn something from your videos, thank you for passing on your knowledge and sharing how you work through the issues that happen along the way!
You have completed 2 more amazing pieces of useable art! Thanks again for sharing ❤️
Thank you very much
The Designer Epoxy is great stuff. The bowls are spectacular! Keep up the fantastic work.
Thank you very much
Good morning neighbour. I am a bit late this morning. I see Dwayne has some buddies over today. The bowls are really nice. I like the colours that you chose. The grain in the burl adds that extra touch to the bowl. Take care and stay safe.
I could of call the other ones Keven Heart, haha. Thanks
Your right that blue bowls is the best one, great Jim
Thanks!
I love both of these bowls but the blue one is my favorite absolutely beautiful bud.
Me too, thanks!
Beautiful, Jim. I love the blue. It really does look like a planet!
Thank you very much
I just love watching you... It's interesting & relaxing. ☺️
Those bowls are GORGEOUS! Loving all those swirls. The red bowl almost looks it has orange pops & looks like it's on fire.
Thank you very much
Your work is amazing as usual, love watching your videos and learning new things while I watch them.
Thank you very much
I totally agree with you about the resin. I do resin and wood also. Several shows I’ve been in have included turners who only use wood in their bowls. The resin and wood are much more popular and people tend to gravitate toward this medium. Also, it cuts down on those when walking by who just have to whisper “I could make that”!
Totally agree! Thanks
Designer Epoxy. Both bowle are beautiful, though the blue is my favorite color 💙. Keep up the great work.
Me too, thanks!
Wow, just WOW!!!! BEAUTIFUL 😍
Thank you! 😊
Amazing bowls... Couldn't pick one over the other... Great job Jim.... Designer Epoxy
Thank you very much!
Super excited for next week! Always make such beautiful pieces 🥰 sorry for my last comment, I was asleep when I made it. Thought I had written this in-depth editorial 😅 and it was half a thought. Truly wonderful! 💖
Lol, too funny. Thanks 😊
Lovely bowls. I like the red one best.
Thank you! Cheers!

Really pretty woodgrain on the red bowl.
Thank you very much
GORGEOUS SQUARED!
Lol, thanks 😊
Beautiful bowls Jim I’m sure they are going to love them.
Thanks Dave!
Stunning bowls Jim. Happy to see that your using the tailstock extension when possible as it gives good support when coring.
It sure does! Thanks for sending that to me!
Just love that lighted Designer Epoxy
Thanks!
Wonderful resin colors as usual. I am sure it was hard to let that blue one go. It really is spectacular!
She’s a beaut! Thanks
Love the work! My daughter says it looks like a bowl made out of Lava! Very cool
I would agree! Thanks!
As always, amazing bowls Jim. Not sure which I prefer, but I have always been a fan of red. I look forward to your weekly videos.
Thanks for watching
So I have an experiment going on in my shop. I haven taken a piece of Black Walnut out of my kiln and cut it in half. Put one half in a vacuum chamber with cactus juice and the other half in my pressure tank with resin. I will then put the half that was in the vacuum chamber in the pressure pot. Cant wait to see how they turn out. Will send you pictures when they get done.
I actually thought of this myself. I’ll wait for them photos, thanks
Very cool combination of resin and burl.
Thank you very much!
Fantastic bowls Jim. Designer Epoxy
Thanks 👍
Both bowls are really beautiful but the blue bowl really pops. Designer Epoxy.

Designer Epoxy - Jim I am absolutely in love with the blue one, the red one is nice just not my favorite color. Enjoy the videos and the great works of art you produce. I just got a pressure pot and I'm looking forward to turning some hybrid bowls. Keep up the great work and videos. Thank you, Garry ( Edmontonian living in Florida)
Thank you very much!
Both are very cool though I think I prefer the red. Looking forward to next week's project 😀
Thanks for watching
Very nice - you just keep turning excellent works of functional art.
Designer Epoxy
Thank you very much!
I will try to comment in English this time, and not write in French, with the help of google translate😂😂😂. I totally fell in love with these two Burl Island Bowls, especially the blue one. 😍😍Even though I found your channel only a few months ago, I watched all your videos, they always put me in a good mood. What you do is so beautiful. Thank you very much for sharing with us all the way to France. Here in the south-east of France, I can only find bowls, salad bowls and spoons mostly made with olive wood. After all, we are the region of France that makes olive oil😛.
Thank you very much!
Both of them are awesome and absolutely beautiful
Thank you very much!
Absolutely beautiful bowls.
Thank you very much
Love the blue and red
Thanks
Beautiful Jim!
Thanks!
Absolutely gorgeous! It's always a great when you have a new video out. Have a wonderful weekend. ( Designer Epoxy )
Same to you, w!
I think that it's interesting that you alluded to other planets when you were talking about the blue piece, because I was seeing continents while you were turning the bowl. Beautiful work.
Thank you very much
27:33 The blue/purple bowl is my favorite 😊💟💟💙💙
Thank you very much!
😊😊😊 < smiling!
Excellent, as always.
Interesting seeing what was still for sale, their prices. And remembering you making them.
Thank you very much
Jim incredible burl and resin bowls this week. I especially love the blue ocean bowl. Looks like a water world. I’d love to have it. Too bad it’s spoken for already.
Thank you very much!
Love the bowls, they turned out absolutely gorgeous!

A beautiful pair of bowls and the colours look amazing! Nice work Jim, cheers!
Thank you very much!
Love the 'oceanic' bowl, with the red bowl a close second.
Thank you very much!
Two awesome bowls Jim. What’s not to love.
Thank you very much
