There's plenty of ways to get Dragun back on the field from the GY or to just summon it again next turn. So if you think cheap ass Kaijus and Super Poly are your keys to getting past it for a easy win, think again. This is coming from someone who has a well tuned Dragun deck with many ways to get dragun back and or summon it in different ways. In the hands of a smart duelist, Dragun is a total beast. Dragun users should make sure to pack plenty of negates like Effect Veiler/Prominence, Called by the grave(for Ash Blossom), Rainbow Kuriboh(protect Dragun from attacks) and plenty of cards that can get Dragun on the field quick and or get it back on the field from the GY if it was kaiju'd or tributed. If you have the right set up, you can't lose. Also pack some Apprentice illusion magician to give Dragun attack buffs as it's a dark spellcaster. ;)

@@Bouncestales Currently only know of two ways people summon it. Through Verte Anaconda or straight up using Red-Eyes fusion. Hell even dingersu (I'm a red-eyes player so I figured all the outs for some time now)
the issue with dragoon is not that it doesnt have outs. its the fact that it can come out in the mid game where both players have dwindled resources, thats where he can just become a one punch man that completely flip the game as its impossible to out in a grind game scenario, while also providing ridiculous tempo offensively.
Little late on this one but another point for Super Poly: Red-Eyes Fusion also changes the name of the monster it summons to "Red-Eyes Black Dragon" and Verte can activate it as well. So if you're playing Dragoon and you happen to draw some one the bricks you can still clear Dragoon and summon your own.
As a Train player this card has made me improve my deck a lot to fight against it. I was never a fan of Kaiju, but oh boy, now I'm running three of their spells and six monsters only to beat it these days and it has been tremendously successful. Ain't that much fun, but how could I have been neglecting these guys in a world taken by Zexals, Calamities and Dragoons?
I found another out playing my friend that falls under the "if you already baited the negate" category, Borreload Dragon's attack and snatch effect, it doesn't target when it steals and it dosen't destroy it when it sends it to the GY, it just sends it there.
Didn't hear this mentioned in the video, but you don't need a Red-Eyes card to summon Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon. Eye of Timaeus summons out Dragoon with just the spell card & Dark Magician. That goes for pretty much all Dark Magician Fusion monsters: Dark Paladin w/o Buster Blader, Dark Cavalry w/o Warrior, Dark Magician the Dragon Knight, etc.
Best part about being a Tri-Brigade player is that Shuraig gets past the non target and indestructible effect. It doesn’t target and it banishes. The joys of Tri-Brigade my friends
Also you can beat Dragoon with the mirror force that sends him to the hand (extra deck), Cyberse Quantum Dragon, a big Gren Manju, borrelsworld, Crystal Wing, etc. Cimooooo I'm a huge fan
My main deck is a crossfire combo of two archetypes in a single deck: Dragunities and Stardust Dragon. I also have the new support cards that came out in the OCG for the deck. In fact, I even faced off with it against Red eyes Dragoon and won the battle by an effect that doesn't destroy, but merely banishes it
You can make videos like this until the format ends, but the circumstances are more than just summon dragoon and pass. In every deck he is summoned in , its dragoon plus 3 backrow, or dragoon plus two other boss Omni negates. Dragoon requires 2-4 cards from your hand to bait then get over him. They flip a solemn or a floodgate , or ash at a correct time and it's game over either way. Dragoon just puts everybody behind him in the duel.
Totally agreed, everyone acts like it's just the Dragoon you have to deal with and nothing else. But with how little resources dragoon takes to be summoned there is always something to back him up so you need like the perfect 6 card hand to out it all making it ridiculous.
@@The_Chew Recent level 12 synchros, or heck, level/rank 12 anything. In this case, not really power creep, just weird. Normally, boss monsters like these are level 10-12.
Underrated post Can destroy up to 2 monsters per turn depending on how many garnets in its fusion materials: That's probably a level 4 or lower monster right there. Oh wait it also deals burn based on the destroyd monster's attack: Level 6. It can't be destroyed by card effects: Well that's everything now so level 7. It can't be TARGETED by effects either: Level 10. Friggin Black wings whole second revolves around less than this. Quick effect omni negate that discards a card thus could be be used in conjunction with dangers: Level 12.
Adamancipator Resin - Dragite. It really only benefits adamancipators because once you trip Dragoon's effect, you excavate 5. For each rock monster you excavated you non target return to the hand.
Actually there are two weakness dragoon has that I have noticed. One is if you have monsters on the field that can’t be destroyed by card effect then dragoon can’t do burn damage to you from those monsters atk and the other is if you use activate a effect in the graveyard and dragoon uses it’s effect to negate it then he doesn’t get his 1000 atk boost.
one of my favorite outs rn is d barrier, d barrier and calling fusions one the anaconda effect or baiting out the negate and then chaining d barrier on dragoon

Since I’m playing a mainly Shaddoll deck I’ll probably have to put more super polymerizations in my main deck instead of 1 in the main and 2 in the side. It would be a good way to get winda on my field but also if I go first I can get winda out and they wouldn’t be able to get it with verte anaconda. They could still hard draw red-eyes fusion though
Utopic Future Dragon: I’ll take that, thank you very much.

It's a tough card, especially with that omni negate eff. The thing I hate most about red eyes dragoon is seeing it in every deck Dx I don't hate that it's a strong card. But my friends play knights, blackwings, pk etc but they literally always open dragoon (usually thru Verde) and if you can't get around that first omni negate then gg lol I think forbidden droplet/Kaiju works best vs dragoon. Other than that hopefully you can stop it before it hits the field. Think grand mole works too lol
As a Lair of Darkness player I find it easy t just use the Virus cards and tribute Dragoon as a cost for the virus.
I couldn't tribute him with Grinning Grave Virus. Do you have any idea why? Grinning Grave Virus doesn't say in its card text that it targets.
@@nostalgibra4726 I'm assuming it's some kind of glitch.
@@nostalgibra4726 did that Dragoon happened to negate anything and gain atk from it (becoming 4k), cause grinning can only tribute a monster with 3k or less
Also pack some Apprentice illusion magician to give Dragun attack buffs as it's a dark spellcaster. ;)
Ah ..someone else of culture.I just run 3 anti Kaiju thunder king. Cheap counter, for cheap ass kaiju cards trying to out my dragoon.
@@fallingguillotine7422 lets see how you deal with dinos that have UCT and can Kaiju search a dino Kaiju that can't be effected by card effects due to Misc
Rafael Marrufo bro I wreck Dino’s on the regular they don’t scare DM players. Meanwhile that’s going on I usually have circle and eternal soul putting dm back on the field for banish. And more than likely will have Nav in the graveyard ready for back row
@@fallingguillotine7422 then you haven't dueled a good dino player

Cyberse Quantum Dragon/Grand Mole, Any Kaiju except the terrible ones, Super Poly (Verte counts as well to an extent), Megafleet (unlikely), Ra Sphere Mode, Lava Golem, Santa Claws, Ignister Prominence, Dark Ruler No More, Skill Drain, Destiny HERO - Plasma, any monster with 4000 or more ATK, Dogmatica stuff, Ferret Flames, most Mirror Force cards, Exodia, Trains, Monarchs Stormforth, Accesscode Talker, Firewall Dragon Darkfluid, Borreload Savage Dragon, Borreload Dragon, Ultimate Conductor Tyranno, D.D. Warrior, D.D. Warrior Lady, the list goes on.
I didnt even think about Kaiju's most efficient way to be honest I was thinking more along the line's of Trishula and/or Tachyon
Trish and trish zero are the best to me too
Dragoon = Bootleg Master Peace that requires you to run Garnets in order to summon it.

Hate this damn card. Because of the release of this card, you basically can't play anything lower than tier 1-1.5 without getting destroyed. This is the massive archetype genocide that was predicted thousands of years ago in ancient prophecies

Super poly works remarkably well given that verte is also a dark so if your opponent just makes verte dragoon pass you're pretty solid
How to beat Dragoon in one simple step:
DON'T PLAY COMPETITIVE YU-GI-OH
Or you know, run a Kaiju😳
@@Tru3_Drac0 Kaijus best
@@Tru3_Drac0 Dragoon can be summoned in many ways, while Kaiju doesn't as you need to draw them.
@@Bouncestales Currently only know of two ways people summon it. Through Verte Anaconda or straight up using Red-Eyes fusion. Both which also need you to draw the cards for it, and can be interrupted.
Kaiju? Nah, not really interrupting that.
If there are more ways to summon Dragoon(which I won't doubt but it is what I seen) that's cool ig. But all ways require you to draw the cards for it, with the easiest way being just using Red-Eyes Fusion directly from your hand.
Which again, you gotta draw.
@@Tru3_Drac0 wdym? 🤔 Summoning 2 monsters is easy you know?
Dragun is last resort card,
you get handtrapped on choke points? Link them off and turn it into dragoon.
There are new cards from Phantom Rage which can beat Dragoon easily. Arc Rebellion XYZ dragon can directly add Dragoon’s ATK up to himself and won’t be destroyed by monster effects. And it can be easily summoned using Raider’s Knight which is a RUM or RDM monster
Answer, play pure kaiju
If you have a kaiju deck then your opponent will run for the hills or get ticked and forfeit, either you are the Instant winner.
Kaiju it, lava golem it, Santa claws it, dark ruler no more even. If you can’t stop it from getting to the field, hit it while it’s on the field
What cursed sealed of the forbidden spell.
Best way to beat red eyes dark dragoon is by banning it. xD
That won't be till a year later. So if your that scared to cry ban then say you better sit out from yugioh
@@AaronHeininger well first off I only meant that as a joke. I know for a fact that Konami doesn't hit cards straight away after they are released. Secondly don't take everything so seriously. you should get off the internet and take a break

Dark ruler no more, forbidden droplets, super poly, kaijus, ra sphere mode, lava golem, monarchs, niberu, dimension barrier, none targeting cards, ash, solemn strike, every mirror force except normal (that does not destroy), ttt, ultimate conductor tyranno, higher attack monsters. Hell even dingersu (I'm a red-eyes player so I figured all the outs for some time now)
You forgot cursed sealed of the forbidden spell.
the issue with dragoon is not that it doesnt have outs. its the fact that it can come out in the mid game where both players have dwindled resources, thats where he can just become a one punch man that completely flip the game as its impossible to out in a grind game scenario, while also providing ridiculous tempo offensively.
Everyone: OMG Dragoon is so good
True King Lithosagym has entered the chat
My favorite out is summoning Hungry Burger and equipping it with ritual weapon
In fact, I even faced off with it against Red eyes Dragoon and won the battle by an effect that doesn't destroy, but merely banishes it
"Always ashe the red eyes fusion"
Me, A Monarch Player: My time has come

It takes less time to list what it doesn't do. Also, why is it level 8 when it's easily more powerful than most level 12 synchros?
Power creep.

Can destroy up to 2 monsters per turn depending on how many garnets in its fusion materials: That's probably a level 4 or lower monster right there.
Oh wait it also deals burn based on the destroyd monster's attack: Level 6.
It can't be destroyed by card effects: Well that's everything now so level 7.
It can't be TARGETED by effects either: Level 10. Friggin Black wings whole second revolves around less than this.

can't wait to see dragoon drop to 1
Adamancipator Resin - Dragite.
It gains attack

one of my favorite outs rn is d barrier, d barrier and calling fusions one the anaconda effect or baiting out the negate and then chaining d barrier on dragoon
I used solemn strike on a red eyes fusion without knowing what dragoon was at the time, I’m happy I did that.
I'm glad they finally unnerffed zombies. I used to be a big zombie player before they got nerfed a long long long time ago And ever since doomking and eldich have come out Holy crap zombies are good again and I couldn't be happier. I actually started playing Yu-Gi-Oh again because of these new Zombie supports And seriously I spank Red-Eyes Dragoon all the time . First of all I know he's coming out so I don't even let my opponent summon him at all And as long as he doesn't come out on my opponents first turn I would have already set up everything I need to bait and banish it with doomKing On my first turn and then just activate everything I need on my Opponents standby phase
Kaijus: allow us to introduce ourselves
Just take it from your opponent’s board while they aren’t looking, and place it face down in the banished zone. Works every time.
