Um ash doesn't work against this deck cause it sets the spells and traps to the field
@@catatranix what about the 6 copies of summon Eldlich from deck and the 3 copies of add Eldlich to hand? Even though Ash doesn't work for the cards banishing effects, you can use Ash against then to prevent Eldlich hitting the field, which is what the main objective is.
@@superbr0ws015 there's many more ways to get him to grave then that u will need x3 ash in hand to even start slowing them down
@@catatranix don't disagree there. Was only pointing out it does have some capacity against the deck. In fact it's more or less the only real handtrap outside of Belle/Crow-Called By that can properly affect the deck.
Simple, just play the Road to El Dorado soundtrack and distract your opponent with how godlike it is

Step 3: Call Jinzo over to mock him
A little tip fighting this deck. The Zombie World structure deck gave us something called 'Necronize Zombie' which is a -zombie specific- Change of heart, so if you wish to try it. It's a nice thing to use in Eldlich or againts Eldlich. And it's cool to since it doesn't have a single restriction on what it steals, it just needs a Lvl 5 or higher zombie-type to EXIST in the field to kick in. Also, if you're the one playing the eldlich, you can re-shuffle your Golden Lord that got shafted by Crow or Called, or anything in general and re-set the Necronize Zombie back in the field, giving you easily 6 change of hearts that work with the deck.
Or better yet, Marionette Mite doesn't have the same restrictions and it also affects fiend types
@@doigt6590 Necronize Zombie controls Any monster pal. You just need a Lvl 5 or higher zombie to exist in the field. You'd take, I don't know their mechaba if they don't have anything to stop it. It has it's pros and cons. Depends mostly on againts who and how you decide to play it. I've been trying it and works nicely in eldlich mirror or in any match in general.
@@djinns6053 Ah sorry, the way you were explaining the card, it wasn't clear what the true effect was. It gave me the impression it was just a bad Marionette Mite. You may want to clarify that in your post.

Djinns yes Zombie Necronize is a very good card, super under rated. I use 3 in my zombie deck as a side deck option.
People are sleeping on Book of Moon this format. Against Eldlich you can flip down the Lord, turning the traps into vanilla monsters. Against Amancipators Book on the normal summon is better than any solemn since they cant get the monster back with sign.

Not just eldlich tho, against adamancipator it’s a blow out, against shaddoll it practically ends their turn this is one I personally like using and it works wonders!

see, for me, i play shaddoll invoked. so the invoked part of eldlich isn’t a problem to deal with. it’s the backrow i want to shut down. and by shutting down eldlich, all of that is gone.

One thing I feel like I need to mention for some to avoid them getting cheated is that if your opponent tries to use their backrow as soon as they've agreed to let you enter bp, you have priority to activate your quick effects before they do. You can use anti magic arrows first and then they can't respond. Just a similar situation I had to deal with when I wanted to super poly my opponent's thunder dragon boards before they activated eradicator epidemic virus against me.

yea so I re-discovered yu-gi-oh around the beginning of 2020. Took me 2 years to catch up to the learning curve and have been repping Striker Meta in master duel. Only gold ranked (won't lie there have been a stupid amount of disconnect L's but I digress) but really having trouble with this deck since I'm still not a great player so I don't know how to play optimally, which subsequently punishes in these matchup. Thanks for the tips 2 years later lol.

Before the video starts, D.D. Crow, Cosmic Cyclone, Evenly Matched, Called By The Grave, Royal Decree, Red Reboot (if ur playing an OTK styled deck) and Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring (kinda)
Cards that you think will help but won't are, Lightning Storm, Twin Twister, MST, Galaxy Cyclone, Denko Sekka is kind of eh, cus Eldlich can just out her, so yeah, these are just my personal opinions, all of you can use whatever you like!
I pulled a copy of that “Eldlich The Golden Lord” card the other day. Being able to send a card from your opponents field is very OP. Too bad my locals are closed. I would totally have this card up for trade.

I've been using Wiretap and Cosmic Cyclone against Eldlich and it worked very nicely.
First turn Simorgh link and special barrier statue. They really do struggle against it since no normal summon can get over it in their deck
yeah I was going to say this too. Eldlich doesn't have a answer to that lock and the golden lord can't target them at all. Been using it in dinos with the jewel beast, and it's really consistent to make that it can win you games. Always backed it up with UCT and Laggia
Pure Eldlich doesn't. I find Uni-zombie is a better inclusion than it gets credit for however. Shiranui solitaire is a one card Omega which solves a lot of problems that come with your cards being banished. It can also discard spells/traps, and send golden boi to the GY, which basically means any spell/trap, you're set. Normal summoning Uni or a Mezuki can beat over the barrier statue easily. That's the problem with this deck, no strategy is gonna work against all variants, there's just so many ways to build it and so many ways for it to adapt to the meta due to all the generic zombie support released over the years. Eldlich Invoked, the Invoker can also beat it I think.
RanserSSF4 Crazy didn’t knew that jewel beast can search winged beast monster. That’s a good tactic. I obviously summon it with Simorgh and put a cyber dragon infinity next to it and depending on my hand I also put an Avramax or Evilswarm nightmare on the board.
@@whiz1014 oh yeah you do have the option, but I should've been more specific that he gives dinos the combo potential to make simorgh link, which summons the barrier statue. My bad!

So basically nothing truly works, but Evenly would at least set them back a bit as long as they don't negate it with Golden Land Forever! Denko Sekka also (which gets over Golden Land), but come their turn they have like 10 different ways to kill it (Eldlich in battle, Eldlich in effect, Eldlixers to SS Eldlich, etc etc)
silent or forbidden graveyard is a solid card for going first that is essentially an abyss dweller
Ghost Belle is really good against eldlich too, stoping scarlet or white, invocation when meltdown is not on the field and another cards

Exactly that. Well, i only lose against this deck once, 30 minutes ago, and i was like ''Wtf'', i destroyed his Golden Eldlich 5 times and it keep returning to the life, i need to know how to stop this, but now i see that is a very strong deck in general
i'd like to add that given the recent announcement of Jinzo supper we're getting, Jinzo has a chance, probably even combined with the cards you mentioned here, to over power Eldlich since Jinzo's newest support helps get him out on the field and basically lock out the traps which helps you to use your hand traps and others to focus on taking out Eldlich before it hits the field

Hey Cimo, you forgotten about Hunder. They can perform Multiple normal summons so Denko Sekka can work in that deck really well.
The Simorgh link can summon Dark Simorgh during the end phase, and then they can't set cards lmao
What about zaphion the time lord? Wouldn’t bouncing the entire back row to the deck be almost as good as banishing them?

Zaphion can special it’s self as long as you can bait an ash or a solemn or something you’ll get it on board declare attack and poof all backrow to the deck. Bye bye, recursion

So from what I’m understanding is that I have to play something like Jinzo HEROs so I can negate all of its good traps and pretty much turbo out dark law to prevent any drawing for a bit and graveyard set up. Let’s see if that’s possible
It's not the easiest to summon, but if Crystron Phoenix resolves against Eldlich you probably win (banishes all spell/traps on their field and in their GY)! Using needlefiber for its intended purpose might help here lol
Crystron Quariongandrax (these names...) is easier to summon since you'll already have 2 tuners (one summoned from the main deck on your turn, and one summoned from the extra deck on your opponent's turn (you can choose which level))--if there are multiple golden lords on the field/in the GY, you can banish all of them at once. Might also work!

PSY-Framelord Omega has always been great for zombies, even more so now. Luckily if you play a reasonably fast deck and the Eldlich player has gone all in on Eldlich and not using stuff like invoked or zombie world, you should be fine.
Most certainly. I almost won a game 2 against them using Madolche and Crow and Called put in work. If it wasn't for my math failing me, I'll never know if I could've taken game 3 😩🤣🤣🤣🤣

Jinzo is a non-searchable monster with no protection that can’t special summon itself. It will never see competitive play

the most terrifying rank 10 for eldlich is easily number 35: Ravenous Tarantula. it either makes everything a super beatstick, or you xyz summon into 77: The Seven Sins for a 4k annoyingly sturdy boss monster backup.
I play Machina Trains rank 8 combo and ive had no issues beating eldlich
Herald of the abyss is also strong atm I’d seriously look into playing this as I am aswell

I play Mystic Mine with Prohibition in the main deck. First turn Prohibition on Golden Lord and 99% instant scoop

Shuffle all that stuff back.
Can’t be destroyed by battle or card effect.
And if it leaves the field, let’s say for a link summon you can draw a card. At the cost of a normal summon and battle phase.
you could also try gabrion to shuffle the monsters too, but that'll give them a bunch of draws. Kamion could also work to specifically get rid of 1 card at spell speed 4, plus a little burn.
completely useless against either the zombie or invoked versions. Since doomking and mechaba will just negate.
Ash blossom doesn't really work to well you still need find a way to get to your hand or hope that your starting hand includes that card.

I've seen a lot of these cards since they've been in the current meta of a lot of decks, but I'm really curious about something: is there something about Doomking Balerdroch I don't know about? Some ban or non-meta property on it due to it relying a bit on field spells? It seems like a very effective card to deal with Golden Lord but I never hear anyone talk about it or play it. I say this because Doomking Balerdroch:
-has more attack than Golden Lord (excluding its special summon from GY effect)
-can activate its effects to either negate Golden Lord's send card to GY effect, or banish it if it's in the GY or on the field
-can trigger off of Golden Lord since Zombie-type monster effects activate it
-can special summon itself from the GY as long as there's a field spell in play
No ones playing that unless theyre playing zombies...
I just play it with golden lord because it wins mirrors.
Zaphion is good idea but they have some chainable traps so that it will sent to GY if they resolved

No "Hey, Turnade" Since It sends all FD Backrow back to the Hand, Granted it gives your opponent the Resources back
Marionette mite is also quite strong against eldlich if you have to go second
Well, luckily in OCG, the next set will contain Jinzo that can be splashed to many deck, so trap based deck will have harder time to compete

Surprised that Ghost Belle isn’t on the list tbh. It stops sanguine and the adding from GY effect of Golden Lord, and can be sided for other decks like Invoked

Why isn't anyone mentioning Skull Meister? Unlike Crow which certain Eldlich cards can just chain to it's activation, Meister completely prevents Eldlich recursion.
For DM players, Do you think Sorcerer of Dark Magic would be a good monster to side in against Eldlich?
As a fellow DM player, please dont play that card. Its too much work to get him out.
@@SempaiSmash I've been a DM player as well since before there was even official DM support and I will agree he is hard to get out but not as hard as it used to be. with eldlich and now dinomorphia running around the conversation of using him should at least entertained and looked at. his effect is a spell speed 3 and not once per turn. that's pretty powerful in today's yugioh. but I do agree he his difficult to get out and he isn't searchable so you'd have to play him at 2 or 3 in your side if you were to use him.

I agree trap negation is nice, but honestly, we should be running 3 skill drain in Dm decks, which kinda makes him a non-bo. Although I do like how salvation makes it easier to get DM and DMG on the field to sac, The last thing Dm decks need is another brick, we already have at least 4: 2DMs, 1 DMG, 1 Red-eyes.
Maybe just SB Prohibition, would be much easier I think.

Random thought, as someone who plays vampires, would stealing Golden lord through a Vampires effect and then overlaying him into Damphire stop it?

Imperial Iron Wall prevents banishing, so it stops eldlich traps from replacing themsevles and it is less vulnerable to backrow removal since eldlich players are as likely as anyone else to prefer Cosmic Cyclone over TT

I sometimes thinking about to side Unending Nightmare for continuous spell/traps
Imperial Iron Wall is kinda temporary solution but it can still useful tho if it cannot be removed by Eldrich or Conq Continuous Trap card
@@jofx4051 It requires a bit of setup or luck, but you can have protection for any useful continuous trap with imperial custom. But then what's the point? May as well not play those cards and have better deck consistency. I was thinking perhaps imperial wall could be a temporary delay for game two, as means to take the opponent by surprised, but it'd be the kind of thing you side out in game three if the match is still going on.

Gotta disagree with you. The backrow is the main threat, not Golden Lord, if you can deal with the backrow theyre now just playing a mediocre beatdown deck

Eldlich weakness is a Dark Magician deck. You just banish Eldlich The Golden Lord, and that’s it.

Zaphion The Timelord is also an interesting choice because they have a hard time removing it and it forces them to fire their backrow right away or have it get shuffled so it can't float. If they have a way to remove it, you also get a draw. If you can afford your normal summon, I'd consider it!
