This games formats are so toxic! I’ve downgraded to casual because it’s literally battle of who has the most broken strategy. Which in reality everyone runs that Strategy and if you play any other deck you will always have a boring uphill climb that usually ends up in your loss. At least in casual duels you have healthy interaction

People say this is a diverse format but every deck that isn’t d/d or floo is running the same 2-3 engines. Adventure is the new mermaid/orcust engine, but it costs $300 instead of like 5. Make no mistake, if we’re not already there we’re quickly reaching a tier 0 format.
I think the main problem is people won't call this a tier zero format because the decks built around the adventurer engine plus the DPE package are all different enough to be called different decks. Realistically this format is already tier zero with how omnipresent both engines are in the meta
Orcust with Mermaid was more like going into Verte + Dragoon/DPE tbh. People did their little song & dance, then made Mermaid or got hand traped and then made Mermaid. Brave eats hand traps like no other.

I don't even hate pile decks, I hate that every pile deck ends on the same board with goal of not letting you play. Its basically just a deck full of Aleister engines.

Feels like it's impossible to escape isekai for me these days. First they oversaturate the entire anime market for a whole decade and counting, and now the isekai archetype has oversaturated Yu-gi-oh!
Putting this out late was worth it. This was a very fair and detailed showing of the deck, plus showed the strength of the other pile deck. Like 2 for the price of 1.
Man, it really feels like the TCG has gone full circle in the worst way possible. Almost every deck these days is a chaotic mishmash of things glued together by a bunch of expensive staple cards, giving a format that somehow feels stale despite its inherent unpredictability. At least the chaotic mishmashes these days have some semblance of synergy though, so there still is SOME form of progression from the dark ages preceding Goat format.
@@gregoryford2532 the only people complaining about the use of archetypes in yugioh are people who don't understand what makes yugioh a fun game to play. Yugioh is a game that has so many interesting and diverse archetypes that make it interesting and fun to play. However, modern yugioh has rejected this important aspect of its identity through these omnipresent engines that dominate the game. If anything yugioh should have more restrictions on what cards and strategies can be played with each other. Goodstuff turbo can only be interesting for so long.
The problem is not all archetypes get equal support. This isn't cardfight vanguard, and Konami's idea of support is "dark magician again". If there was consistently new support for specific archetypes like "this month is Fire King, Graydles, and Spyral" I'd be all for that. But that would require an extensive ban list on generic engines or some sorta new master rule about what names can co-exist in your deck.
This build has no personality in it. In fact, all the top decks have no personality to them. They just splash adventure engine in them and say "we are a good deck"
i don't want to sound like a yugiboomer, but this format looked cool and i didn't understand what everyone was dooming about. Only to see the only reason i liked the format was because i frequent what has come to be a pretty relaxed, uncompetitive locals. This is why I still love Dinos. I can end on a board of Borreload Savage with 2 counters, UCT, Artifact Scythe, Dragoon (I use it instead of DPE because my friend plays it in his HERO deck), and a Tornado Dragon (to pop the Scythe, tho if you use DPE you could make one of the Evolzar’s instead of Tornado) And the deck is just a Dino deck with Scraps

Just got to love when it was the beginning of when the game came out, it was mostly just good stuff the decks. Than once it was around the synchro era archetypes started to be useful and people played them because they were good. After all these years it just came back to good stuff the decks mostly again, this is going to be a viscous cycle from what I’m expecting
funnily with how important 1-card starters are becoming, good stuff decks will become more and more of a thing due to how small cores you can run for every engine
I enjoy the creativity, I enjoy the abject horror of a deck made out of engines, but god damn this deck makes me angry only cause of it's pricing paired with it's strength.

If this continues, Yugioh will lose its identity as a game that thrives on decks with unique themes and strategies. How would you feel if every deck you played against was the exact same, with 1 or 2 different variations? Yugioh needs a massacre banlist. Restricting almost every broken engine that has cursed this game. Alternatively, konami could implement a duel-links-esqe banlist for engines like brave or artifact, forcing players to choose one broken engine instead of playing a literal pile.

Except your wrong lol this isn’t some creative new way of playing lol you can’t splash together ABC and dark magicians and it be good. You have to play the brave engine, the scythe package and any engine that can summon 2 monsters to get to halq. It’s all 1 deck lol I’m amazed people actually think this is creativity, when it’s just combining meta engines. The only reason this is possible is because the game is broken, brave broke the game allowing consistent ways to powerful link 2s that wasn’t as consistent last format. So yes this does need a nerf lmfao

We are in a tier 0 format right now and it is because of how unrestricted yet powerful the "goodstuff" is. If this continues, Yugioh will lose its identity as a game that thrives on decks with unique themes and strategies.
How would you feel if every deck you played against was the exact same, with 1 or 2 different variations?
Yugioh needs a massacre banlist. Restricting almost every broken engine that has cursed this game. Alternatively, konami could implement a duel-links-esqe banlist for engines like brave or artifact, forcing players to choose one broken engine instead of playing a literal pile.
