I just rewatched it now after doing some practice with my own 3 copies and I was like "damn, Alex really didn't use Dark Worlds to the max." He could have popped off the whole time and left you without cards in hand. The deck is insane right now.
I would say that you guys were having fun. The details werent really important. But Dark Worlds are back baby and better than ever.

Ceruli's discard counts as an opponent's card effect, you get the bonus effect on all the dark worlds that have them if you use him.
Konami should make a structure deck league. The game needs a single-tier system. :D

the whole point of Ceruli is so he gets discarded, activates his effect to summon to the opponents field. than since he was summoned by his own effect (which he is a Dark World card) it makes the opponent discard a card. the opponent in this case is you. which means if you than choose to discard a DW monsters you can activate both effects.
Thank you! I thought that ceruli needed a dark world card, like parl, to activate the discard effect. But since ceruli is a dark world card that special summons itself, the discard effect activates as soon as it's on the field. Now i know why its used.

I dueled my brother with DW structure deck. Explaining ceruli to my brother almost ended in a fight. He thought he was the opponent when it was summoned to his side.
Cyberdark End Dragon CAN attack even when it doesn't have an equip card, however the first equip card won't give it additional attack obviously.
If it cannot attack without an equip card, it would say "This card cannot attack unless it has an equip card" or something like that
Yeah I was thinking exactly that so when he played cyberdark invasion and it’s effect he should have attacked 3 times (1 for cyberdark invasion 1 for cyberdark end dragons effect and the final attack per turn) right?

You guys should do a deck profile showing how you used the 3 structure decks to make one Dark World deck. That would be super helpful.

Some misplays here and there, but all good. You guys were having fun, and we were enjoying things with you. After playing around with cyber dark structure deck, I'm almost sure Paul could've brought down Cyberdark End Dragon turn 1. The deck isn't always consistent, but when you get your starters, boy does it get going

it is really fun how much they hold back just so that the duel doesnt end in the second turn, really makes the duel more interesting
idk it makes it feel really artificial... watching a scripted game isnt really fun
@@ich3730 i feel like it makes it kida better, like theyre playing it safe. Imagine if Paul just did the best combo in the deck in the first hand, and after that Alec manages a eay to counter it. It is over, paul doesnt have anything else to do. Besides, i play cyberdark, it is so boring to combo for 5 minutes straight, imagine watching someone combo for 5 minutes straight

@@ed_pontes As much as I do love the classic days of GOAT format, there's something to be said for the resource management and counterplays available in modern Yu-Gi-Oh. I've recently started to get back into it on a casual level simply because two decks that I really love got support in 2022: Weather Painters and Dark Worlds. I've been practicing the two decks against each other and while Dark World keeps beating Weather Painters because the former really is just an insane deck in terms of advantage, Weather Painters can seriously do some work. It's a fun puzzle working through which cards to play in which order to get which results. It isn't as simple as letting the deck play itself.
I won't say that all of modern Yu-Gi-Oh is similarly complex, but there's definitely some room for a middle ground.
Nah, it's more interesting when someone ACTUALLY finds a way to counter his opponent. If it's scripted it's not impressive
The way Paul plays this deck is absolutely dreadful. Literally misplays in every single turn
It's so hard to watch
12:32 you can clearly see Paul has Power Bond in his hand. The duel continues, no sight of Power Bond being played or sent to grave, then at 15:18 Paul places the last card in his hand facedown which is revealed to be Cyberdark Invasion… what happened to the Power Bond? Also that and the fact that Cyber End CAN attack once with no equips but did not, is very unfortunate. Between Paul’s massive misplay with Cyber End and the mysterious missing Power Bond lol the cyberdarks definitely should have won this duel. Did you guys rig it to make the Dark World deck win to like promote the deck for Konami or something? Just a speculation… it would make the Dark World deck look a lot less hype if it lost lmao
Anyway, I’m looking way too far into this. This was a super fun duel/video to watch regardless. Alec says the funniest things sometimes.
i noticed that as well. something was off when power bond vanished. also im not an expert but i think i saw a film cut after he set "power bond".

I don't even play 1 of him because with a worthwhile starting hand you wind up with enough Cyberdarks in rotation to make Cyberdarkness without him.
I prefer Cyber Dragon/Darks more.

12:33 You can see Paul's hand he has Realm, Chimera and Power Bond. So why didnt Paul Use Chimera's effect and then PowerBond into Darkness? Darkness would have 8k atk with Cyber End and that would be game right
Cyberdark End Dragon can most certainly attack once without an equip.

If you played skill drain (it’s in the structure deck) you could have outed cyberdark end
There is a combo with the 3-structure-deck Cyberdark deck that can summon you Cyberdark End Dragon in the first turn. With Chimera's effect you should get a Power Bond after you sent 4 CD monsters into the GY and a Cyber End Dragon. Use Power Bond to summon Cyberdarkness Dragon, equip CED to him, then you can spec summon Cyberdark End Dragon and equip any monster from the GY to him e.g. Attachment Cybern which gives 600ATK. You can also equip spell cards to Cyberdark ED if you put some in your deck - I prefer Mage Power and United We Stand - a Fairy Meteor Crush is fairly crushing too.
In the last two years, there have been 4 GX themed structure decks that include Fusion Support. Just let that sit for a second.
Watch out if you get a 30th anniversary Magic the Gathering pack in the mail team APS.
Point of Notice: Ceruli Special Summons itself with it's own effect, and therefore is Special Summoned by the effect of a "Dark World" card and it's effect will trigger.
It was funny watching Alec look frantically at his cards near the end, looking for a miracle at that moment. Kind of reminded me of Noah during the Virtual World arc.
I have played dark world since its first structure deck. Cannot wait for the new one to arrive.

This was an EPIC Anime level duel.

Cyber dark spells that search are a 1 card starter to the full 5k boss as long as you can discard 1 cyber monster and 1 spell/trap ... Paul opened full combo off the bat and missed it

The Danger reprints hands down as they work really well with the Dark World monsters
My only regret with the dangers is that they could have picked some better ones. Or removed the fillers like back jack for extra dangers.

@@processcleric1812 That they could have included some of the better dangers in the deck, like Nessie, Jackalope, and Chupacabra. Chupacabra in particular is great for this deck because it's a fiend, which means it has type synergy with the rest of the dark worlds. The other Dangers in the structure deck are good too, but there are useless cards like the vanilla Dark Worlds, Absolute King Back Jack, Lilith, Lady of Lament, and Fabled Raven. These are cards that are simply not going to be used for this deck and could have been cut to allow more Danger monsters in the deck.
Cyberdark End Dragon can always attack. Even if it has no card equipped to it.

Amazing duel, I'm so glad "Darkworlds" won because I lm gonna buy that structure deck on Friday and upgrade my current "Darkworld" deck to duel, my friend's "Rainbow Dragon" deck.

Despite all of the misplays and rulings errors and stuff, this was still a great video. I didn't even know a new Dark World structure deck was on the way but I think I'm going to be grabbing this one for sure. I've always thought the archetype was fun and unique.

I absolutely love these duels, it’s like watching the classic Yugioh Anime all over again, I love both of your guys’ emphasis on the card names of the big monsters your both summoning, PS I’m a long time Magic the gathering veteran of 30 year’s, I’m also a returning player to Yugioh cause I haven’t played the game since the game and it’s anime came out and we all know that was a long time ago 😅 I picked up some Yugioh cards about a year ago but I’m guessing by the current Meta I’m probably not able to use those cards, I picked up the legendary decks 2 product and liked it quite a bit, I feel Yugioh could use a format much like MTG has that’s a non rotating format like pioneer or pauper but hey I’m new to yugioh once again. Subscribed to this channel as well 👍🍻

@Lofl it's not that I'm collecting fiends, it's just fiend decks that I know how to run and play from when they became an archetype like infernity and infernoids then dark world and d/d/d, I play decks that I've played my whole life instead of decks I know nothing about unless I play it on master duel during the solo gates

You can still attack with cyberdark end dragon even if it isn't equipped with something. It says it can attack up to the number of times for each equipped card equipped to it. So if you don't have any cyberdark end can attack once.
Why would they word it that way tho? Cuz the way it’s worded makes it sound like it can ONLY attack if it has a monster equipped

I thought in order to summon Cyberdark End Dragon, you had to tribute 1 Cyberdark Dragon with a Cyber End Dragon “attached” to it? Am I wrong? Was that gy summon legit? Genuinely curious 🙏
I found a way to summon 3 CyberDark End Dragons... (Using Master duel bec i dont own the cards myself) just thought it was cool to have 3 CyberDark End Dragons in the same field. it does require u to summon the first one normally afterwords requires "Cyber Eternal" To bring it back from the grave just to summon CyberDark End Dragon from the extra. Repeated
OMG .... the first turn from the Darkworld deck could have gone sooooo insanely OP... but no.... Add Fusion Spell instead of Field Spell....
Am I big fan of both these archetypes. I used to play dark world from 2012 too 2017 and cyberdark online from 2017 to 2018. Right before quitting retiring from yugioh.

Some misplays happened. I'm used to it watching this channel but these guys still make fun videos. What bothers me more is how some people in the comments don't know what they're talking about at all and act like they do with fake proof. Mainly an argument about Cyberdark End Dragon not being able to attack. It can even without cards equipped. This is a fact. You CAN use it's effect to attack based on how many equipped cards there are on it but you don't have to. I know the joke is Yu-Gi-Oh players can't t read but for fucks sake take an English class and try a little.
Cyberdark End Dragon CAN attack without equips, but it CAN attack up to the number of equips. No ruling against it attacking normally.

Just wanted to say thank you for rejecting WOTC offer to open up the MTG 30th anniversary edition! As a MTG player I have been against this product as it sets a dangerous precedence for the company to attempt to price gouge their customers for cards that are essentially worthless! I have been a subscriber for years as I love the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG and used to play but have even more respect for you then ever! The only way we can show this company that a product like this is unacceptable is by joining together!

I play dark world deck a lot, but find the danger cards not worth it, relies too much on luck with Danger effects.
Ceruli's effect should have activated because Ceruli IS a dark world card.
Unpopular opinion but I wish the meta decks where more balanced and competive like theses in the since that the duels not over in 3 turns... I love watching back and forth dueling I'd rather watch a 12 turn back and forth than a 3 turn slaughter

Paul not really a cyberdark player , his deck look more 1 copy rather than x3 . This is the only time dark world can beat cyberdark , they didn't play more duels cause all of the rest cyberdark wins
I have a friend who uses the Dark World structure deck powerful yes invincible no I run an Ancient Gear deck and it's well tailored to dealing with dark world monsters but dark world would be a good place to start for a newcomer.
