Hey everyone! Today we are getting into the Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 2 reaction today! As always I'm so glad that my first time watching is alongside all of you! We're back with Peter Quill, Gamora, Groot, Rocket, Drax and they're saving the galaxy once again. GOTG Vol 2 really did give me everything I wanted, we got more on our girl Nebula. We got toooo much of Peter's messed up celestial daddy and learned a bit more about how awful Thanos is. Marvel came hard with the animation and CGI in this Guardians movie, I felt like it was even better than the first Guardians of The Galaxy movie. I feel like the first movie did what it needed to, it introduced us to all of our characters and united them and this movie went ahead and delved into their pain. The Rocket and Yondu dynamic was one of my favorite parts of the movie and I'm glad Yondu was able to redeem himself in the end. Nebula and Gamora's relationship was a highlight. I'm glad the movie took the time to address the abuse BOTH daughters went through at the hands of Thanos and they were able to still see each other as sisters by the end of the movie. Guardians of The Galaxy Vol 2 was an amazing watch and I can't wait to get into Spider-Man Homecoming!

Peter’s reaction to Yondu’s death always kills me. Chris Pratt’s voice crack was painful 😭
Yeah, that is the best thing about the Guardians movies, a mix of great comedy and serious feels.
I kinda agree too, this movie better than first. The first got all of the introductions out of the way and in this one we got into the meat and potatoes
While you still have a few movies in the MCU before you get to Guardians Volume 3 be sure to watch The Guardians Of The Galaxy Holiday Special. It helps with information and set up for the movie.

Sylvester Stallone character sakaar was the original leader of the guardians of the Galaxy made up of the same members who were the leaders of the ravager factions in one of the post credit scenes with yondu.
This movie takes place 2 months after the first one and there is a mini short series called I am Groot which features baby Groot over the course of those two months. Despite the series coming out in phase 4 of the MCU. You can watch I am Groot after this movie without spoiling or effecting your viewing order of the MCU. The series itself is not significant to the overarching MCU storyline they're just fun little shorts episode with baby Groot.
The shorts were very cute.

Great reaction! I wouldn't worry too much about the Celestial thing. Knowhere, the giant severed head in Guardians 1 did belong to a being who was part of a race known as Celestials, but it's still unconfirmed whether Ego had any connection to that race or was just using the term Celestial to refer to himself as being god-like.
I always took it that Knowhere was Ego's skull -- since he started as a disembodied brain floating through space. Just a thought...

In the comics Ego was completely unrelated to the giant-sized Celestials, and it's likely the same holds true in the MCU. He was just using the term Celestial to refer to himself as godlike.

A very fun movie and more substantive that several of the MCU films. I really enjoy the emotional range they allow to the Guardians films.
I think the GotG movies get better as they go. This movie is probably the only one to get me choked up at the end.
As much as I adore this movie, I’m so glad I didn’t watch it in the cinema because the amount I sobbed at Yondu’s death would’ve been so embarrassing in public. Chris Pratt’s acting in that scene is excellent. His cries made me go from crying to sobbing.
