Peter couldn't just "get another" Zune.. It was the final gift from his "father" Yondu.. much like the mix tapes that were gifts from his mother. It wasn't the music Inherenty... But who gave it to him. It meant a lot. Him giving to Rocket who also had a connection with Yondu was very meaningful.

BTW Primate, when Groot said “I love you guys” he actually said “I am Groot!” James Gun said we’ve spent so much time with the guardians that we can understand him now!
Also at the end the reason he’s so big is because he has been around Adam Warlock and has been absorbing his cosmic energy which is what Groot grows from.

I think the reason Peter goes after the Zune is mainly for the sentimental value of it. Yondu got it for him, just like his Mom gave him the first Walkman. And then he passed it on to Rocket. It's actually quite heartwarming.
39:13 was one of my favorite parts of the movie, Rocket flying around wrecking everything while the Guardians theme plays full blast. I find it symbolic how I think that was the only time that theme played in the movie and it's for Rocket, who would eventually become the new leader
"you shouldn't have killed my mom and squished my walkman." Almost dying for a zune I get it.
I just realized he almost died getting the Zune back so he could give it to Rocket. Total 180 compared to yelling at him for using it at the start of the movie.
That "open the ****ING door" is delivered so perfectly
Fun fact: James Gunn confirmed that when Groot says "I love you guys," he's not actually saying that in English, we as the audience have just learned to understand him
The saddest part for me wasn’t when Rocket’s friend were laying dead on the floor, but on that whole segment when Rocket went ravage on High Evolutionary, just listening to Floor frantically shout “Rocket, Teefs, Floor, GO NOW!” repeatedly, that really broke me🥲

I was kind of baffled too..I mean it wasn't a huge shock that Stahkar was back. I was glad it was confirmed though that it would happen. But Gunn seems to very much enjoy working with Sly . So hopefully he can find him a good supporting role in the DCU outside of his voice work.
Chris Pratt’s acting when he thought rocket was gone was super good. That yell he did and how it’s apart of his story with him “losing everybody”. Had me crying but for some reason almost every reaction I’ve seen on RUclips skips that part. Almost had you thinking rocket is a goner. Was looking forward to it. Anyway, great reaction. You should look into all the cool little detailed things you might’ve missed. Gunn confirmed some stuff himself as well and it makes the movie all the more better.
For peter to have survived that i believe he still has some hidden Celestial power left over from Ego.

What a great ending for these characters. Especially Rocket, he finally got to make peace with his past.

What was funny about Adam Warlock is he has a connection (something like that) to the Soul stone, leading to him being a big help against Thanos.
So I was surprised that they teased him in Guardians vol 2 - I thought it was a bit late and wondered how he'd factor in. Turns out... not at all haha

I’ve always enjoyed Rocket in the MCU but this movie made me love him even more (top 10 characters easily). Bradley Cooper really brought his A game voicing him this time (his scream when Lylla is murdered is so disturbing).
Not sure where I’d put this in my overall MCU rankings but I’d definitely say this easily top 3 post Endgame MCU movies (alongside No Way Home. 3rd spot is either Shang Chi or Wakanda Forever)

Best way I can put it. Adam Warlock in the comics is basically space Jesus in a lot of his stories.
I'm really glad they wrapped things up so much with this being the end of the Gunn films. It remained consistent throughout and a really heartfelt trilogy about standing up to your abusive family. It's so emotional with everyone finding family through each other.

WBN was really good & has me hyped for a future Midnight Sons team. I hope they dive more into R-rated horror projects featuring characters like Wong/Strange, Blade, Moon Knight, Black Knight, WBN, Elsa Bloodstone, Man-Thing, Ghost Rider, Agatha Harkness, Nightcrawler, Magik, Scarlet Witch, Mephisto, & Nightmare.
I got told WBN was good by my some of my buddies which totally confused me bc just based on appearances I had 0 interest, glad to hear more opinions to back them up
@@frenchiekolsson Can't speak for your friends but I really liked it for a few reasons:
- The genre throwback to classic black & white horror films was expertly done and made it feel unique. The people who made it were clearly fans of those films.
- It struck a nice balance between dark content and comedy, the later not feeling forced but natural and just a way to show the special wasn't taking itself too seriously
- Despite its brevity, the writing and performances did a good job endearing a viewer to the 3 heroes
- The final fight scene, particularly one long shot.

i wont cap i wasn't the biggest fan of the first two. i didn't hate them but they just weren't my taste but this one...man this one is probably a top 3 MCU movie for me if not #1 since endgame. The way everything was done was just peak IMO from soundtrack to shots to the characters and to lastly the CGI was easily better than what the MCU has done in recent shit
i still have a zune, i bought a charger for it and it works. it was my mom and dad so it has all their music on there
I can't tell for sure, but the way you're talking about Sylvester Stallone is as if you didn't realize he was in the first two Guardians movies, so yeah, just in case you forgot, he was pretty important in the first two too

Thing that annoyed me most about this film is the fact that Quill, somehow mysteriously lost his jet boots and helmet thing since infinity war/endgame! The exact things he would’ve needed at the end of the movie in space…
Gunn said he left his mask/helmet cause he was in a hurry to save rocket, no boots because rocket's aero-rigs were better. No mystery there

Primate, regarding the new marvel phase, theyre in this moment of building everything back, everyone dies, many get replaced, so thats a main reason to watch the tv shows, they’re good, short and tell the story. So this build up is for us to wait for the mcu2.0. And its good, the shows are very entertaining, and its gonna lead us to the future, I think its gonna be amazing ❤

We can just understand groot finally, & what a great movie. & plz don’t let other discourage you from watching things, It may all not be perfect but nothing in the world is, & having everything be the same will get boring. Just like every city isn’t the same, neigher is all mcu movie/shows, just gotta enjoy and make your own opinions.

Them leaving at the end really came out of left field for me. Idk what your thoughts are on it but it felt really out of place. I knew this would be the last guardians movie going into it from contracts ending and the actors moving on to better and greater things but I wish it was them in the ending with the classic music that started it all. Gamora and Quill not getting together was a good move as well.
