      There is no Hela in ancient Nordic religious mythology. Her name is Hel and she is the queen of the afterlife realm of Hel, or hell in Christianity. So lets get this straight. Thor is no human Super hero, but a God or an Alien if you wish. A fun fact, Thursday is actually also named after Nordic Mythology, with Thursday meaning "Thor's Day" and coincidentally, Chris Hemsworth was actually born on a Thursday (Thor's Day).

    • @Alewaxon
      @Alewaxon 4 месяца назад +4

      Fans in general agreed that Odin was not a great father and that he has responsibility for SOME of the things that happened... But non bias fans also know that Thor's mistakes or Hela's evilness or Loki's bad actions, belong to them and nothing excuses them or justifies them... Specially when it comes to Loki who is far more well known and liked than Hela, for example, and have a huge amount of fans that shouldn't just remove all the responsibility for his bad deeds and place them on Odin; because a lot of the stuff he did and continues to do, that's all him... Let's not forget that he made a plan to have enemies of Asgard infiltrate and steal a dangerous weapon of mass destruction, caused the death of innocent asgardian guards and more, all of it, long before even knowing anything about being adopted... Or the fact that in this movie, 10 years of character arc later? he still trying to betray Thor and cause him harm

      Odin is goated, Idgaf what ppl say, man was ruthless w hela & created an incredibly impressive empire then became a mostly peaceful king & then lied to everyone & basically convinced everyone he was some peaceful being💀💀💀 master manipulator, Idgaf if he was a good dad, Thor is goated & Loki is too, no spoilers but ifykyk. No room for soft shit when your competing to be the king of Asgard. What Odin should have been easier on them? Hell no, he made them tough as did many other factors & whoever else gave them compassion, empathy & even Odin preached those type of messages
      You’ve gotta think bigger than the earth type of mindset, if you don’t like Odin what bc he lied? Wasn’t the best father? Grow up, he’s the ruler of the 9 realms, not your dad who could have showed you a little bit more attention or been nicer. “Your birthright! Was to DIE!” Lmao “I shall speak to the prisoner alone”😭💀. Forget all these other characters I’d love an Odin show

    Hulk didn't want to leave Sakaar because for the first time, he'd found a place where people loved and cheered for him. On Earth he was feared and constantly hunted by the military (mostly due to Ross). So Hulk finally started to have a life of his own on this weird alien planet.

    Fun facts: The actors in the play are Matt Damon as Loki and Luke Hemsworth, Chris' older brother, playing Thor. The line "He's a friend from work!" when Thor sees Hulk is actually a line from a Make A Wish kid who visited the set that day.
    The whole Hulk being a champion thing is from a storyline called "Planet Hulk" where a bunch of characters decide that Hulk is too much of a threat to the Earth and trick him and send him into space. In "World War Hulk" Hulk returns back to Earth and lays out pretty much everyone. As you mentioned, this movie essentially serves as the reason why the two of them aren't in Civil War.

    That name you had troubles pronouncing, Surtur, originally meant 'man of dark complexion' in Icelandic (without any other connotation to it!) but once it started to get used as a literary translation for the n-word, it's pretty much been abolished from the language. It's still found in our dictionary as a word rather than a name, listed as 'offensive and archaic'.

  • @nvp8191
    @nvp8191 4 месяца назад +4

    Hela is the half-sister to Thor in the MCU but in the comic books she is the daughter of Loki. Hela Frigga and Valkyrie are the same age and the only reason Valkyrie doesn't look the same as because she spent most of her time on the planet sakaar which effects people's aging differently. That's also how The grandmaster who is the brother of The collector is millions of years old and one of the immortals of the universe. In the hulk's case he's been here longer than 2 years that's how he's able to speak normally. The Hulk and Dr Banner are two separate personalities with Dr Banner figuring out if he triggered the transformation he had more control over the hulk's actions in the Hulk figure out he could control both bodies without losing himself to the anger which would drive him into a blind rage. Thor was able to defeat surtur because he was injured and cut off from his source of power of the eternal flame. Odin was barely able to defeat surtur with the space infinity stone. When Odin died his connection to the Odin force was passed to Thor which increased his lightning capabilities.

    • @Alewaxon
      @Alewaxon 4 месяца назад +2

      The thing you said about Loki comes from the original nordic lore and myths, not the comics... Also, about the "Odin-force", a thing from the comics, not something that has been confirmed or mentioned in the MCU... As far as we know, until they mention it and make it canon, it isn't a thing in the MCU

  • @blackkatt777

    I think you are forgetting some key notes here that explain why Anthony's Odin was different in this film.
    This has been a slow build up since movie one when he nearly collapsed on the stairs when Loki was arguing with him. He had to go into that God comma state in order to preserve his strength.
    This is also why he was ready to step back as ruler because he knew his time was not too long.
    By the second movie, Loki caught him off guard and put a spell on him before banishing him to earth, and as Thor said in this movie, weak and without his powers.
    I think it took a lot of Odin's reserved power to break out of that spell...which apparently busted down the old folks home. We never knew Odin's age, so as a God I guess he can feel his end near. He did say that he could hear Frigga calling to him to join her.
    This was definitely a sharp turn with Thor's personality and it worked. Even Sir Anthony Hopkins had me cracking up, with playing as Loki pretending to be Odin.
    I do wish they would have given The Valkyrie a proper name, and made her Brunhilda, the Valkyrie that Thor ended up marrying.
    It pisses me off because Chris and Tessa's chemistry moments really were noticeable. I wanted more of it.😍🥰
    This was a Hemsworth family affair. His brother, Luke, played the Thor performing in Loki's play. He hammed it up so hilariously. Btw, he is in the HBO show WESTWORLD along with Tessa Thompson and Sir Anthony Hopkins. It's so good.
    But I digress...the girl who wanted to take a picture with Thor and apologized about Jane was Chris's younger sister.
    Now, going back to the other characters:
    Skurge and Hela were both from the Lord of the Rings franchise.
    Matt Damon played Loki in the play, which was an easter egg joke if you've ever seen Kevin Smith's Dogma movie. He played the cast out Angel named Loki and Ben Affleck played his casted out Angel friend Barnaby.
    I personally think Matt was poking fun at his bestie with him making his way into the bigger more franchise for even less than 10 minutes, while Affleck was on the troubled Batman v Superman movie.
    Sam Neil who played Odin in the play, is from the Jurassic Park franchise, along with his costar Jeff Goldblum.
    I'm telling you....Disney has been collecting "A" list highly awarded actors from major franchises like they're Thanos collecting Infinity Stones, and the MCU is them telling their own story. Lol.
    So far we have lots of actors from : LOTR, WESTWORLD, JURRASIC FRANCHISE, GAME OF THRONES....A huge amount of actors from the Whedonverse shows especially Buffy and Angel.
    A lot of the MCU actors and Whedonverse actors have appeared on Will & Grace too. Robert Downey, Jr. was supposed to appear on the show once and changed his mind.
    Some of the Whedonverse actors were in disguise..like the guy who played Wesley was the one that threatened Loki to not keep the Tesseract from Thanos or they'd find him, and whom Ronan later killed when he was in Thanos' presence.
    The director of the movie is the voice of Korg. He went for a thick New Zealand accent and it was hilarious, imo.
    Even though the serious Shakespearean side of Thor movies were cinematic and intense, all the main actors played the comedy brilliantly.
    I liked Odin. He behaved as you'd think a viking God would.
    Thor got it from his dad too when he'd do the opposite of what Odin told him, hence the first movie.
    Loki's insecurities were his own. Frigga shared her magic with him so that he wouldn't feel left out, and like a Spartan baby, he was left to die because he was a runt. Odin did spare him and give him a life, and in a good place to be brought up in.
    I believe Frigga when she told him that they never said anything about Loki's parentage because he was already feeling down on his self for not being as powerful as Thor.
    I have little sympathy for the guy who purposely attacked earth and killed thousands, traumatized the entire population and smirked it off as if what Odin did excuses himself.
    Instead of trying to be a better man than Odin, to show him up, he leaned into the Tyrant part of being a part of a god family.
    He relished acting mischievous since he likes bragging of that being his calling card.
