A few tips to help spread democracy for the bugs. So for solos the guard dog rover is great, having something watching your back is incredible. The chargers if you shoot the leg twice with the rail gun their armor breaks off on the leg and you can shoot them with the breaker and it kills them in a few good shots. For stalker lairs, if you look at the direction their coming from most of the time they lead you back to the nest, you can also for some reason ping the stalker lairs on the map before you’ve actually discovered them on the map. Bile titans if you shoot their stomachs off they can’t laser beam you anymore. Also the orbital rail cannon stratagem has the potential to one shot the bile, if it doesn’t you can usually kill it after a couple well placed railgun shots
It's not just the stalker lair either - You can actually ping any point of interest on the map whenever. Just pass your cursor over it and see if it changes. Also, another tip: Impact grenades rule, you can just delete entire groups of small to medium enemies with them. The only downside is that you have to kobe them exactly into the hole from the front if you want to destroy hives with them, but it's a non-problem if you're not doing secondary objectives anyway.
@@danielhaywood9695 yeah I agree, the key is to be as stealthy as possible when solo on harder difficulties so you don't get mobbed and can get the objectives and side quests/samples. the rover just attracts attention
the trail blazer scout helmet secretly raises your speed by 6-7 points. when you are wearing a 544 light armor it brings you up to 550, it also reduces armor but armor is still broken atm so its not really a problem. the actual armor has a secret perk of being able to hover over spots on the mini map and it will tell you locations of poi's when you cursor over it.

Loving the HD2 content! High difficulty solo is so much fun. One thing I've learned is you can shoot an almost fully charged unsafe shot into the bile titan's mouth and it will explode its head, killing it instantly. Start the charge right before it pauses to spew and bury it in the back of it's throat. It helps to use the ADS dot to aim it. Once you get the timing you'll be dropping Biles faster than chargers. You can sometimes even do it without them being in the spew animation it's just not guaranteed.
Not sure if you know yet but there is a setting. Remember last sight or something that lets you go right back into whatever sight you last left it at and you it works on all guns.
There is also another setting which I think is even better, "hybrid aim mode" or something - Toggling it on will make it so that clicking your aim button once puts you immediately into first person, while holding it aims in third person.
Thats great to know. Though would awesome to have an OPTION toggle for pure fps. Trading situational awarness for immersion, better sneak, possibly aim. Maybe balanced team by having be set Preferred: Pure FPS, Hybrid or Pure TPS To avoid someone whining about failed mission due to one dude or all but him being in FP not being as aware of certain enemies

Wow that was a super satisfying video ! Your aiming and skills in general as a player makes it feel so fun to watch. Makes me want to join the fight and spread some LIBERTY !!
I learned a lot by watching this. I personally love playing solo in games like these. If I remember correctly, the first Helldivers changed the sound of the gun firing based on how empty your clip was.? So you had an audio cue for when you needed to reload. Maybe it was a different game. Regardless, it would be nice if this game had that feature...
I’m kinda late, but Insurgency Sandstorm does this really well. When you equip tracer rounds, as you get deeper into your mag, the tracers become more frequent. A good little indicator without having to check mags constantly.
I hear a lot of people complain about chargers and bile titans but for me it is always the damn leapers that wreck me, you think you have distance and then one sec later the leap across the map and break an arm or leg if you have no shield or flank your left or right while dealing with the titan or charger and even after they hit you theyh immediately follow up with their tongue whip
20:38 This is why you take out stalker nests FIRST always, fuckers can outrun you and if they get close they can punt you like a football. 39:06 The correct priority order is: DEMOCRACY > samples > helldivers (staying alive) Excellent display of the most important skill in the game, running away, but tbh I don't think this strategy would work with automatons given how many projectiles all of them fire from all angles. Shield can only protect so much.
the trailblazer scout helmet has a hidden effect of slightly improving your speed and regen, while dropping your armor slightly more (for when they fix armor)
Eagle Strafing run is *perfect* for when you're being chased. You can turn, drop it right at your feet, back up half a second, and it will clear a swath of enemies on your tail.
A setting for 1st person only would be really cool. But, 3rd person gives you so much more situational awareness, and it might be something the devs feel players need to have. It could be that the level of situational awareness you get from 3rd person helps to make the game more fun for everyone, especially when playing with randoms.
I love the challenge of Helldive especially on solo but it does feel like there's massive amounts of luck involved sometimes. I was doing an ICBM mission and there were FOUR bile titans just hanging around the last objective, I hadn't even triggered a bug breach yet, never seen that before on Helldive even with three other players with me. Other times I'll do an objective and the worst I'll get is a few chargers and spewers which are easy enough to deal with. Chargers can be staggered with a railgun to the leg, and spewers can be killed in one or two shots to the mouth.
For running from hunters, run away, pull your pistol, and just left click or fire without hitting the aim button behind you. This will let you keep running and take them out. If you are using a SMG you can also use this method with that. if you look really closely at your close up of the bile, at 6:47 (you can use , . to move frames on youtube.) you can find its eye. It's above the two horns at the top just under the ridge of armor. If you can railgun one of it's eyes on either side, I've seen videos of people one shotting titans with railguns. Now I don't know 100% if an update has changed that or not, but I believe it's still possible. One other tip now that I think about it. You can look on the minimap for the Super samples. You can practice on suicidal on a couple of throwaway missions, it shows up as a small silver circle on the map. You can use the map ping system to move over it and confirm because it's a point of interest. If you want to stop a titan from ever spitting again you can pulp the green stuff underneath him. Scorcher can do this with just a few shots, a railcannon strike and 6-7 shots to it's middle below will finish it off. since hunters are annoying you I would suggest swapping laser for gas strike, low cooldown and infinite uses.
I enjoy the fact, that you are so relaxed and chill about Helldiver dif solo, and successfully complete it. And when you compare it to other creators, who name their solo ruins, 10000 hourse of super experience in other games, they make it out as if they went through hell to get the holy grail from Satan himself, and upon extraction clap each other on the cheeks, complimenting each others firmness.
For the begining clip with the 500kg bomb, the problem with it is that the 500kg bomb is the only stratagem that is directed from the point you threw it from, instead of perpendicular from where you throw it. It never tells you that, but once you think about it, the bomb landed on the stone outcropping, because that's the direction you threw it from.
Same with orbital stratagems, they're angle of impact is dependent on where you are from your destroyer ship. If you're below it then it's a straight shot but if it's off to the North then it'll come in heading South. The orbital laser shows as such much more obviously then others.
@@ifs-wolves9034 it’s not the same, orbitals come from the destroyer wich is static. The eagle flies around and can choose which direction to throw stratagems. The pilot has decided to throw everything except the bomb perpendicular to the diver, but the bomb comes from the direction of the diver, so if they are higher than where the stratagem beacon lands the bomb can land next to the diver.
@@Teslijah That's why I said same with. I get you're probably not an English speaker by birth but that literally just means similar. Nothing I said was wrong so your comment was unnecessary.
@@ifs-wolves9034 First of all, how dare you assume where my literary skills com from! I haven't spent more than a decade of english classes, in America, to be lectured on the definition of "same"! Secondly, its not the same, because the destroyer is static, it doesn't move, while the helldiver does move, and so does the eagle, so the inconsistency of this is what makes the clips funny and surprising, since we thought that every eagle stratagem comes from overhead, and from the sides. The destroyer is always in the same place, so we can always predict where it will come from, and every stratagem that comes from it, always looks like it angled, or the pod had thrusters to signify how it comes straight down. In conclusion, the destroyer is consistent and intuitive, while the eagle does not have an explanation for why it drops the bomb differently from the rest. Post Script: I'm not sure if I should be angry that you may doubt my language skills with my first language, or if I should be proud that you readily accept anonymous people's english skills to be just like that of people who grew up with it.
@@Teslijah It's literally the same you said it yourself, just because one is "static" doesn't change the fact they are similar enough to be implied as the same thing, orbital stratagems have an alterd path depending on where you are, like I previously stated if you are below it they are more direct and precise, If you are further away they are angled and continue to travel at that angle literally the exact same as any eagle stratagem the only actual difference being the player becomes the "static" object. Terrain or not they behave one in the same under every circumstance. If you feel so insecure about someone assuming something so obvious then go do your own tests and get back to me on that. Also American English is not true English so as an actual native speaker of the true mother tongue you are excused.
As far as the guns go, the Breaker is definitely the best overall, but I think it does have at least some competition. The Defender SMG in particular is really good - Not as much immediate punch, but a bit more precise, and it can be fired one-handed (Meaning you can shoot it accurately behind you while running, without slowing down). Also surprisingly ammo-efficient, because of the large mags and steady fire rate. The standard Diligence DMR can also keep up if you're good with it, but it's definitely a "double the effort for the same result" kind of gun (Outside some very niche uses, like sniping certain bots in the head, but you don't really have the time to do that on higher difficulties most of the time). The standard Liberator assault rifle is also surprisingly passable. Honorable mentions: The pump shotgun is also a decent pick (Standard against bugs, Slug variant against bots), especially if you get the rythm down. Objectively not as potent as the Breaker, but the massive mag and single reloads means that it's at least extremely ammo-efficient (even if it actually has less total ammo than the breaker, for god knows what reason). The Knight SMG has some pretty insane DPS thanks to its fire rate, but the mags and reserve ammo pool are too small to support it, and the fact that the recoil makes run-and gun difficult kind of invalidates the point of it being an SMG. Still, decent if you put it on burst. The Dominator (off brand bolter from the premium warbond) deals very nice damage - Will reliably kill most common bots with one center mass hit, and will put down a devastator in one headshot/4 stomach shots. But, the way the rocket projectiles start out slow and then accelerate can make it very awkward to use at range. The fire rate, total ammo, and reload speed kinda suck too, so it's not very good for dealing with bugs. Sadly, everything else is pretty much junk by comparison. I hope they do some balancing on these, since I love how the other guns feel, but bringing them is basically throwing. It's a little sad how all the variants aside from the slugger are basically downgrades too. 25:10 For secondaries, I can definitely vouch for the revolver. It's very consistent and reliable, will put most non-elite bugs down in one good center mass/head hit - It's just that you only get six shots and then the reload on it is painfully slow. So, you really have to count your rounds and pace your shots.
For anyone wondering why the bugs swarmed the extract, it wasn't him they heard it was his resupply pod he dropped they homed in on. Bugs are coded to wanna break the pods and turrets
34:53 You see that little guy in the middle going "REEEE" and spewing out gas? Yeah, if you shoot them, you can prevent the bug breach. Almost any bug can do this, but only one of them at a time can channel it, so if you react fast and always eliminate the one doing it, you can actually stop the infinite spawn chain. (Similar to how you can stop bot drops by killing the guy who's trying to shoot the flare. The main difference is that basically all non-elite bugs can call for reinforcements, while for bots only the standard human-sized guys can shoot out the flare)
an additional tip - only one special type of the human-sizeds can send a flare, it's the ones with a knife in one hand and a rifle in the other, they're called Commissars :)
@@zetexztt Not necessarily - I've seen the small rocket launcher bots do it too. Edit: After further play, I have definitely seen the ones that dual wield swords do it as well. It looks really goofy with the flare being shot from their blade hand, so I almost wonder if it's a bug.
another good thing to know when doing these solo, the less time you have at the end the harder it gets, at the beginning bug breaches spawn nothing but scavengers at the end, the entire pallet is up for spawning, this has been my experience and my wish is for everyone to know this, especially the solo helldivers.
That run was insane... when you got to Pelican one... I breathed with relief at the same time you did. lol. You are good man, any chance we could get a keybindings guide? controlling the map/dropping pins was the best I've seen.
In the settings u can set it to remember what ur last "Aim down Sights" setting is. So you can set a gun to always be in first person mode when u aim. Or opposite for orher guns, its a good setting for people that prefer exclusively first person when aiming.
This is the first “live service” game, that actually feels like one. Every AAA “live service” game has basically been a single player game with coop tagged on as an afterthought 😂
Tonight I saw my first ships blow up from the deck of my own ship. It was pretty epic to see and then I shortly realized those were soldiers not making it back. Hopefully the GM/DM doesn't go too hard on us with this new bug front
One thing that might help ya with the Bile Titans is that if you shoot them in the stomach and break that pouch, they can't spew anymore which means all they really can do is step on you. In your case, that would be more helpful since you never really were under it, only bugs were.
@@Aculite You just got unlucky. It's a matter of stealth. I've done it multiple times. I wasn't solo, but the rest of my group was somewhere totally different on the map. Just crouch down or go prone and you should be fine.
In addition to the armor, movement type can reduce detectability. Sprinting (worse), walking, crouching, then prone (best). Personally, I've used that armor and moved prone into a large automatron base to drop and prime a hellbomb without detection. I sure ran out of the base tho, lol 😂
Wow now I understand why the rail gun and 500lb bomb are OP meta, you are one-shotting everything 😂. I’m only lvl 15 but I hope they balance weapons after resolving server issues. The best games typically force players to into 3-4 builds/team/class configurations and then continue to tweak weapon stats in order to prevent exploits. HD2 already has strong early and mid-game balance (despite the glitches + backend issues), so hopefully it’s only a matter of time.
The auto canon can one tap them if you haven’t tried that yet. I actually prefer it over the railgun sometimes because you can also blow up the nest holes with it.
Hope all you soldiers have a fantastic weekend! Squash those bugs.
easiest way to kill a charger is, two shots to any leg with railgun, then just shot it with a breaker when the leg is yellow. love the gamepaly tho

Covert builds are underrated man. hope we get silenced weapons and covert stratagems soon. Great run!
That was stressful to watch. Enough freedom delivered
38:12 he said “stressful situation here”. The guy doesn’t even sound stressful, in the entire gameplay he sounds so chill and relaxed. 😎 💯
Oh man, there was another hellbomb at 20:50 so close to that first one!
20:38 This is why you take out stalker nests FIRST always, fuckers can outrun you and if they get close they can punt you like a football.
39:06 The correct priority order is: DEMOCRACY > samples > helldivers (staying alive)
Excellent display of the most important skill in the game, running away, but tbh I don't think this strategy would work with automatons given how many projectiles all of them fire from all angles. Shield can only protect so much.
the trailblazer scout helmet has a hidden effect of slightly improving your speed and regen, while dropping your armor slightly more (for when they fix armor)
“btw this rock is where you find super samples and is unique” thank you aculite
love a good aculite video early in the morning eating a raspberry poptart listening to his soothing voice
That ending escape was Movie worthy.
No matter how many times you do it that first hellpod drop along with the music never gets old 😂
Eagle Strafing run is *perfect* for when you're being chased. You can turn, drop it right at your feet, back up half a second, and it will clear a swath of enemies on your tail.
"There's a Titan, not ideal🤷🏼♂"
My man's a true Helldiver.
How you seamlessly wiped them out at 15:56 was impressive. Well, the whole video is impressive.
39:40 Hey Aculite - you’re going to have to go into rehab from all those stims 😂
And when you compare it to other creators, who name their solo ruins, 10000 hourse of super experience in other games, they make it out as if they went through hell to get the holy grail from Satan himself, and upon extraction clap each other on the cheeks, complimenting each others firmness.
yooooo... they're adding a new diff
Post Script:
I'm not sure if I should be angry that you may doubt my language skills with my first language, or if I should be proud that you readily accept anonymous people's english skills to be just like that of people who grew up with it.
Oh my god was this video tense! It was almost like a good action movie for me.Thank you for the good entertainment!
Clutch up at the end was insane. Made it look easy
Massive fan of the Helldiver books by Sansbury Smith. Awesome to see it come alive as a video game. And what a good Job the devs done
Man, I don't know how you can be so calm in situations like this.
GG Aculite, you're the MAN.
Your target swapping and situational awareness is frankly superb.
Very impressed with your play!
Great run. Glad you stopped for the samples too!
man we can watch 45 mins of just ¨hugs¨and ill watch it twice. Great video man i ate dinner while watching it, best dinner all month hahahah
Honorable mentions:
The pump shotgun is also a decent pick (Standard against bugs, Slug variant against bots), especially if you get the rythm down.
This whole thing just shows how OP the railgun/breaker/shield meta was and why it needed a nerf.
You make this look easier than the extreme missions i do in a four stack 😭😭😭
10:30 "i dont think they're alerted." *bgm intensifies* "music says otherwise."
The pistol/shotgun combo is op. I love it. Just with the pistol had more ammo
BRAVO FUCKING BRAVO every time you smashed a titan i couldnt help shouting ''GET SOME''
I love the sound design in this game.. it's epic
In the settings u can set it to remember what ur last "Aim down Sights" setting is. So you can set a gun to always be in first person mode when u aim. Or opposite for orher guns, its a good setting for people that prefer exclusively first person when aiming.
This is 100000% better than any DMZ content! Love it man, keep em coming!
This is the first “live service” game, that actually feels like one. Every AAA “live service” game has basically been a single player game with coop tagged on as an afterthought 😂
Earned you that cup of liber-tea during this one soldier!
Great vid, your movement is really fun to look at, also appreciate that there's no music in the back so it's easier to listen to what you're saying 😎
When aculite says ohh boyy, it’s going downnnn
Tonight I saw my first ships blow up from the deck of my own ship. It was pretty epic to see and then I shortly realized those were soldiers not making it back.
Hopefully the GM/DM doesn't go too hard on us with this new bug front
The most magical 2 star victory you ever could see.
This was intense
I love the revolver. Specially since you can reload it without loosing amo if you have a partial cylinder
22:47 "lot's of kitin' goin on here"
heh, chitin
One thing that might help ya with the Bile Titans is that if you shoot them in the stomach and break that pouch, they can't spew anymore which means all they really can do is step on you. In your case, that would be more helpful since you never really were under it, only bugs were.
29:45 "Jeezus, Where Are These Guys Coming From?" was actually the working title of this game...
Mate you was GAMING in that round 100% id have failed that mission
Keep the content coming
"You see the titans actually help you. Wherever they spit it actually deals damage."
-Aculite
I love looking out the window of my ship it just feels so cool
You can absolutely do the escape pod upload solo, I've done it. It doesn't automatically aggro bugs.
On helldiver difficulty?
@@Aculite Yes
@@varlunmulland3992 I tried once and got swarmed immediately so I gave up because I didn't want to run out of time.
@@Aculite You just got unlucky. It's a matter of stealth. I've done it multiple times. I wasn't solo, but the rest of my group was somewhere totally different on the map. Just crouch down or go prone and you should be fine.
please do more of those! we need more of those!!
"and I figured if Im going to do a full playthrough, I'll go all out and continue to be the goat. Solo, max difficulty"
"Kitin' Chitin" - A memoir probably
Thank you for your service, soldier
Sincerely: a super citizen
The stalkers are ROUGH without a railgun as a level 15-17 today. Luckily I found the nest quickly.
The auto canon can one tap them if you haven’t tried that yet. I actually prefer it over the railgun sometimes because you can also blow up the nest holes with it.
shotgun in the face 4-5 times
