I am impressed with your renovation. WOW ! We are PUP owners that enjoy our HW 296 Rockwood. We have upgraded ours quite a bit also, making it our own. Being from Central Texas our camping season is about 10 months long, plus being retired we can camp any time we wish. That being said, we camp a lot. I am so glad you have taken the time to make a unit your own, also you have began a journey of lasting memories for yourselves, and your child. Our fondest memories are of camping as children, and as adults. We have been married 45 short years, and still enjoy our camps. When nightfall comes the sights and sounds are the icing on the camp cake. Enjoy the camp. See you on the trail.

Our pop up is the exact same awful gold color!
I want to paint it white to match the top.
I have a product called Gesso, which is supposed to be a great primer for the canvas. It’s also supposed to aid in helping the paint not stick to itself as the sides are pushed in when closing and opening the camper.
    We shall see!
Our little pop up will be our temporary seasonal, as ours was damaged this past winter. That was our first fixer upper. Now we’re going from 33 feet to teeny tiny. It’s ok, pop ups are so much fun! 😊

Hey Danny, I plan on making an update video soon showing how the paint has held up after 1 year. The paint is latex, I was wrong about that in the first video. I have not had to do any touch ups but we’ll see what it look like after I open in up from sitting all winter. I only lightly scuff sanded the canvas and I will say it was pretty clean and wasn’t heavily oiled. Not sure if that would make a huge difference but thought it would be worth mentioning.
