Very cute pop-up! It's in great shape too! Awesome price! I personally, didn't mind the music as others did. I actually, hardly noticed it. I could hear everything you said too, btw. I hope you get to enjoy it for many years. PS, maybe that waterline in question, was for the potty you removed. Just a guess, though. Lol. Look forward to seeing what you do to it, and your adventures in it. :)
I would think that hose with the strainer on fits into a water jug that you can change The jug as needed. rented one of these from the Navy base while I was in. I don't think I spent $20 for the weekend. That was a really comfortable easy to tow rig. Didn't mind the music at all. It was... relaxing.
Make sure you have someone repack the wheel bearings with grease before you leave on your maiden voyage. They usually dry out when sitting for long periods of time and can leave you stranded on the side of the road!Good score!

Great buy, much better buy than the popup I bought in 2010 for a long cross country trip.A little advice. I had many damaged stitches on the tent seams. Good quality waterproof fabric glue, did a great job of fixing them. Also get a 2 foot level and keep it with your camper gear. Use it to level your setup. Before you raise the top. Use it on the roof. I can't remember if I did it front to back, than side to side or the other way around. Than set up the camper and check it on the floor. Even a little bit of unlevel is noticeable if not corrected. Carry some 6inch by one foot boards to place under a wheel on an unleveled camp site. Than drop the stablelizers. One camp I was at needed 8 inches of wood to level out. I even had to put wood under the stablelizers on that side.
@@sharonoddlyenough Yes I believe that is how I did it. I also carried a small hydraulic jack for tire changing, greasing hubs and yes, leveling the camper That jack came in handy a lot. @@OWK000 yea stitching is probably best. But the fabric glue was fast and worked really well. I had a lot of rotted seems. Best of all I didn't have to remove any canvas. We had a 1992 version of same floor plan. Ours had a 5 gallon jug that fit into a cabinet near the sink and hooked up to that hand pump. We also installed a small rv fridge in cabinet by front door. We changed hinges to left side so it could be accessed while top was down. Good luck with the renovation. We had lots of great trips in ours.
We have a 95 Coleman Popup. We love it. I'd get a 12v air pump for the tires, a bottle jack (from Harbor Freight) a 4 way for the lug nuts and a spare tire and wheel (Northern Tool). Great find and a great deal. You will love it...
Only major problems with a pop up are tires and wheel bearings. Make sure wheel bearings are packed with good quality wheel bearing grease and tire pressure is correct before each trip.
I bought a 1973 Dodge 360 "Fireball" and lived f.t. in it while working on it in the Central-Oregon Wilderness for two years. It was rough, but I learned a lot. One of the greatest things you could do is to find (get crafty on) sturdy aluminum and plastic versions of the fixtures in there currently. The less weight, the smaller the vehicle that can pull it, and the less gas-mileage the added weight adds to your haul. Not to mention it'll look better, and you can take things that WERE large and clunky and replace them with more modern and compact versions that likely take up less resources (fuel, power, battery, water, etc...). CUT WEIGHT wherever possible. Personally, at 6' 3", I'd scrap all the canvas and "popup" concept of the whole thing, and just frame in and build walls, with platforms that mount just like the undersides of the pop-out. You could make a VERY simple modification and wall-mount a small diesel heater and remove that massive p.o.s. one in there. Resell the old one, there's a huge market for old RV parts, especially heaters/ranges/ovens/microwaves/windows/etc... You'll likely make back, or close to, what you spent on a new one... I'm actually looking to start doing one myself soon. I have a buttload of lumber and materials.
I dont know the history of these pop up campers or when they first came out but what an invention. These must have been hugely popular early on in their existence, still very popular today, extremely convenient. Great buy even if you spend money on it. These are cozy and Ive always liked them.
GREAT FIND! My 22 ft 78 Nomad was only $300. However, once I'd gotten in to it, all I got for that $300 was the tin and trailer. Floors, frame and furniture were all borked. I removed most of the frame and half the floor with a broom. I was prepared to build the whole thing from scratch and just wrap it with the original tin any way. Still... well worth it for the money IMHO!

Quite a lovely acquisition! This little Jayco brings back so many good memories of a trip across USA in one with family! While it wasn't the coolest during summers, it was comfortable!
Looking forward to an update video time lapse on how you fixed the rotten wood around the roof and on that bottom part of the body, and how you fixed the actual leaking problem. Great video 👍
I see the top of the door has a blank middle section. You could use that for stickers of all the tourist attractions you've seen. That would start a lot of great conversations with others who've been there or plan to go in the future. It's always great to have the advice of someone who's been there, saying whether it's worth going or not.
My dad spent a summer restoring one of these when I was a kid, he spent a lot of time on it, but the parts might still be out there for a camper like that. The popup's were pretty popular, easy to store.
We had a Jayco pop-up camper in the mid to late 70's. My mom, dad, brother and I all were stuffed in there together when we traveled 😂 If I remember correctly, there was also a mini-fridge included too. That could explain that empty space. Looks to be about the right size....
Great! ! Now I've got that music in my ear for next 18 days!! Good luck with the camper, not in terrible shape at all for the price, get someone to help repack or if needed replace the wheel bearings before any long road trips, if those go while on the road, MAJOR BUMMER.
I got a bad ass fb marketplace deal as well!! 1995 34 foot 1 bedroom full bathroom and kitchen travel supreme trailer, fridge, central heat and ac, full trailer speakers and stereo living room and bedroom slide out. Grand total $700 now its running off solar and has all luxory and room of an apt with dishwasher and washer n dryer its amazing
I had bought my dad a 1967 Bethany pop up camper for about the same price 20 yrs ago... surprisingly the basics of everything you have here they had in the 60s already just a little more rustic (no sink, stove and the table wasn't a 3rd bed if im not mistaken it just had the ability to flip up against the side to give more middle room) ... great deal....id like to find one cheap... preferably with AC being based in FL lol.
First time viewer and subscriber. I love your optimistic can-do attitude. I think you got a good deal. Especially considering you're willing to do some work on it. Wishing you well.
Nice find. Swap out that power cord plug for one with a ground, I see the ground prong is broken off. That is your biggest concern. Also it is an "inverter," not a converter. Common mix up of words. It allows you to charge the 12v battery while plugged in. The wood damage up top is a little easier said than done to properly repair, but doable.
Actually you have the terminology backwards. A converter which is what she has and what it is labeled goes from converts changes the 110 volt shore power to 12 volts to charge the battery. And inverter takes 12 volts DC and changes it to 110 volts AC.
Looks like a good project. Looking forward to the improvements you'll make. One request, please get rid of the background music. It's not necessary especially since it's so repetitive.
Im sorry the music bothers you. I sadly can’t take out the music after the fact. If the music is bothering you, there are subtitles so you can turn it down.
Nice little camper that is! It reminds me of my childhood here in the UK when my family and I would go off on holiday in our "trailer tent" as they are known here; basically they fold up into a tent but you get a solid bed to sleep on and they fold up in minutes. Very similar to this.
Congrats 🎊🎉 great deal, and you are right when you said it’s going to be a fun project I bought one early this year and I had a blast renovating. Happy camping 🏕
I really enjoyed watching this. It brought back tons of memories for me. My aunt and uncle had a pop up camper and my cousin and I had some really good times camping!!! And by the way, the music didn’t bother me at all 😉😉
Hey Chica, thank you for sharing your find with us and don't worry about comments about your music it was only instrumental. This wasn't a tutorial or class people this was a great find and clean up. We can't make everyone happy. Enjoy your life make the videos the way you want don't worry about the peeps. 👍 can't wait to see your next video and all that you're doing to your new "baby"... have you named it yet? 😂
I bought a 92/3 Skamper off FB marketplace. It doesn't leak, yet lol. It was a bargain as well. I have mine set up, in the drive. It came with a new AC, but they cut a spot out to fit it in. Where the spare tire goes. Ugh. So...the heat has been over 105 where I live. Before that it was spring and just rain rain rain lol. I can't catch a break to really go out and work on it much. I can give you ONE BIG TIP for cleaning. I already had a Wagner Steam Cleaner. It has made cleaning the inside so so so much easier. The poles have left the interior of the canvas with nice rust stains. (that would be from NOT taking care of inside condensation that builds up in these things. I have something for that, but haven't tried it yet, so no recommendations) Yours does look cleaner on the inside than mine tho. However, they look almost exactly the same. Same setup and everything. I can tell you ....The steamer just removes everything so easily. Mine is however, vinyl tent, not canvas and it looks like yours is also vinyl??? That's always a GOOD HELP and start. You don't have to worry about leaks half as much, because it's already "waterproofed" outside. Anyways, I'll be watching to see how you get along. You Might help me as well. Maybe I can help you. I have no help tho. I'm a 53 yr old female and my husband is NOT into this AT ALL. It's all MY PROJECT lol. OH...I got my steamer a long time ago. It was on clearance at Overstock I think...around $80, and came with all the attachments, for mopping/steaming floors, removing wallpaper, wire brush, a scrub brush, a small handheld gun looking thing and extendable pole. So it really was a bargain and will clean just about ANYTHING. lol. I do have to figure out the ceiling on the inside tho. Someone used spray foam to put new white board up or whatever that is made of. MEAN GREEN is an excellent cleaner. It's meant for outdoor items and marine items. Starbright I think is the name...used alot on popup campers. I found a bottle at walmart or someplace like that. I really don't remember. I've stayed away from RV dealers, as they are ripoffs. A bowl of white vinegar left overnight on the inside, will get rid of any musty smells. Worked for me at least. GOOD LUCK and Happy Camping.
Great video ,firts time seeing uours. I think you got a great deal on the folding camper. You seem like you would be good at fixing up stuff just by your energy. good luck.and like to see it finished.
Have fun! I bought a 68 Bethany Chief pop up camper years ago. We had great fun with it. Yours looks in better shape than ours did at first. Big fun will be had trust me!
I have a 1997 Eagle. Your stove top comes out and mounts to the upper bracket beside the table. Seems we always end up cooking outside. Getting ready to redo my own. Happy camping !!
Nice purchase. The second gas hookup is probably for the fridge that used to be in that square hole. I would recommend just buying a portable refrigerator/freezer like a waeko or a brass monkey. They run off either mains power or 12 volt d.c. keep up the good work!
Make up a project maintenance list for the camper. Tackle major projects with enough time to complete, Estimate the time needed for the repair then double that time. As you fix things if you complete the repair early knock off a small repair as well. In your list prioritize the repairs structural and weather tight also mechanical repairs ie wiring, plumbing and latches also lube the moving parts You might want to lube the roof system with silicone spray lube this lube will dry and not transfer when touched.Looks like a fun project.
I think you got a good deal, that looks like it was taken care of pretty well. That portable toilet is probably clean and in good shape I would just give it a good cleaning to be sure. If that has a water tank be sure to clean it good.
@@morganchapmanmedia I've lived off grid with a 2 bank battery solar generator for 4 years with parts from harbor freight including the solar panels and they have done well. I also did this for some of the rooms in my house. I don't want to depend just on electric. I put 3 in the camper one on each end and then one in the center. Also I have some on the outside of the camper. They come in handy if you get to a place a night and need lights to set up camper. 👍🙂

Greer's Great Aussie Adventures will give you ideas on solar. See if your table can be fitted outside. Your gas. The regulator needs to be higher than the bottle. It's stops liquid gas filling regulator and if it becomes faulty it bill be a big bang. Fit waste water tank and get a Chemical toilet,
Sand the plug tongs they get dirty “the plug in” do get boards to hold it up. I replaced both sides too the rottin top. Butyl tape look it up it goes underneath the outside trim for rebuild.
I have you beat! I bought one off of KSL (Utah Classifieds). First look it was $1000. 3 days later…$600….went camping in our tent for the weekend without internet….Monday afternoon it was $100!! It was in great shape.

Nice. Great buy. I feel like the music is subliminal message to go on a secret mission.
My dad spent a summer restoring one of these when I was a kid, he spent a lot of time on it, but the parts might still be out there for a camper like that. The popup's were pretty popular, easy to store.
We had a Jayco pop-up camper in the mid to late 70's. My mom, dad, brother and I all were stuffed in there together when we traveled 😂
If I remember correctly, there was also a mini-fridge included too. That could explain that empty space. Looks to be about the right size....
I bought a Wolfstorm 12 volt compressor fridge off Amazon for my van and have used it for a couple of weekends of camping and it has worked great.
Great! ! Now I've got that music in my ear for next 18 days!! Good luck with the camper, not in terrible shape at all for the price, get someone to help repack or if needed replace the wheel bearings before any long road trips, if those go while on the road, MAJOR BUMMER.
Great buy enjoy it I was in a campground for 18 years and miss it you made a great buy have fun and stay safe
Ah ha!! YOUR video I come back to…. Nice camper find for $350!!
94? That was a time to be alive 😎
You got a sweet little pad there young lady!!
We have the same one!!! 94 and still rocking. Congratulations!
Oh so cool!!
That's a pretty darn good find. Have fun fixing her up and many days of camping enjoyment. 👍
Thank you so much!! ❤️
I think it's a Great Deal! Congratulations to you! I can hear you clearly! You can fix it up so nicely! Happy Camping to you! 😃😊
Thank you so much! ❤️
First time viewer and subscriber. I love your optimistic can-do attitude. I think you got a good deal. Especially considering you're willing to do some work on it. Wishing you well.
Awe wow thank you! I really appreciate your kind words!
First week of June I bought a 1985 Coleman popup for $500, I'm repairing the roof and inside ceiling currently. Good luck on your project
You did great it will be fun making it your ur own. Could your u hear me cheering. Jayco was a darn good brand. You will have a blast best of luck
Thank you so much for explaining! I really appreciate it!
Actually you have the terminology backwards. A converter which is what she has and what it is labeled goes from converts changes the 110 volt shore power to 12 volts to charge the battery. And inverter takes 12 volts DC and changes it to 110 volts AC.
Yes please replace cable with one that has all three prongs. That is a safety hazard.
@@morganchapmanmedia lower the volume that would be a big improvement great job though
Great video...you done good! Have fun with your camper.
Nice little camper that is! It reminds me of my childhood here in the UK when my family and I would go off on holiday in our "trailer tent" as they are known here; basically they fold up into a tent but you get a solid bed to sleep on and they fold up in minutes. Very similar to this.
Awesome find! Looking forward to the progress videos!
Thank you! Check out the playlist! She is fully camping ready!
Man 😊 this brought back memories my Father had one similar and he'd pop it up and we'd camp in the backyard ❤
Awesome find. I'm excited for you.
Great Find!!! That inspires me to look for one.
Congrats 🎊🎉 great deal, and you are right when you said it’s going to be a fun project I bought one early this year and I had a blast renovating. Happy camping 🏕
Awesome find, subscribed and can't wait to see where this journey leads you.!GOOD LUCK
I really enjoyed watching this. It brought back tons of memories for me. My aunt and uncle had a pop up camper and my cousin and I had some really good times camping!!!
And by the way, the music didn’t bother me at all 😉😉
Spray water over the top see if you have leaks on the top, but I'm sure you thought of that😊
A Jayco Pop up was our first camp and we lover it,ours has ac,refrigerator, stove and we bought a toilet.
Looking good camper 👍 job God bless 🙌 🙏
I have something for that, but haven't tried it yet, so no recommendations)
Yours does look cleaner on the inside than mine tho.
I have a 93 that needs a canvas same Egale 8 I bought for a project. But it's just sitting since I had back surgery. If you need a back up.
Looking good and hope you have some amazing adventures! My friend is complaining about the music!!! Lol
Safe travels
Have fun! I bought a 68 Bethany Chief pop up camper years ago. We had great fun with it. Yours looks in better shape than ours did at first. Big fun will be had trust me!
You got a great deal! I love all the storage cabinets with the nice wood!
Thank you so much!!
I have a 1997 Eagle. Your stove top comes out and mounts to the upper bracket beside the table. Seems we always end up cooking outside. Getting ready to redo my own.
Happy camping !!
I have the same camper I put jack stands on the front corners it really makes it sturdy while camping I carry a level to make sure it's level
Great pop..up. can't wait to see what you do
Nice purchase.
It looks pretty darn good. I'm subscribing to watch your rebuild. Cheering for you.
Thank you so much!
I think you got a good deal, that looks like it was taken care of pretty well. That portable toilet is probably clean and in good shape I would just give it a good cleaning to be sure. If that has a water tank be sure to clean it good.
🌺 Score!!
I wonder if that hose underneath is for a ice chest drain?
This will be fun to follow you and see how you progress.
Looking good already.
Cute 😍, looks like you got a good deal (sewing or matching duck tape ;)
what a deal, great video, you will have some fun in that thing for sure
You got a great deal. For a 1994 this is in great shape!! Good luck with it and I hope you have many fun adventures traveling in it!!
Great find! Congrats. Hope you enjoy it.
Excellent buy! Canvas looks in good shape! Look into getting a solar generator or a 1000 watt jackery with solar panel
Thank you so much! Yes I was thinking about getting one of those!
@@morganchapmanmedia I've lived off grid with a 2 bank battery solar generator for 4 years with parts from harbor freight including the solar panels and they have done well. Also a wind generator from Pacific sky to keep batteries topped off at night. Yes I also invested in a jackery 500 and a 300 just as what ever I need them for but I no longer pay for electricity.
Congrats on the camper! You'll have it all hooked soon enough.
Thank you so much!
I just finished a 1994 Jayco 1207 project. Check out my series. There are 7 parts to it. We paid $300 and ended up spending about $2k by the time we were done. We love how it turned out.
do you have a video of it? that is awesome pop ups are great as far as cost effectiveness and storage not to mention the price of new ones I'm looking into getting one as a first time camper
@@sirhc07 Yes, here is a link to my channel. All the pop up video have been from the last 5 weeks and are titled Part 1, 2 ,3 etc. ruclips.net/channel/UCxd2OklepVE7yePIAPNnbawvideos
I enjoyed your videos, and the music. It made me wanting to buy one, great job!😊
Thank you so much! ☀️
Awesome video! Looks like a great find!
I am 70 years old and I hear you talking just fine. Me thinks some must have bad hearing...... Not me!!
Awesome my in-laws just let me have theirs! Needs some work done on it as well but it was free so can’t complain!
It's me again. I ordered solar lights the one that has the long solar cords. I can run the small solar panels outside the camper and Velcro them to the camper. I also did this for some of the rooms in my house. I don't want to depend just on electric. I put 3 in the camper one on each end and then one in the center. Also I have some on the outside of the camper. They come in handy if you get to a place a night and need lights to set up camper. 👍🙂
I had a Jayco pop up the roof was leaking so I put off fixing it untill day before vacation removed roof put marine grade plywood in it and worked untill 2:00 in morning couple hours sleep and off to Myrtle Beach SC for weeks vacation loved this pop up.
My dad had one of these, remember that it had these kind of.. rooms where the tent fell under the beds and me and my sisters used to play with our barbies down there, even think one of us slept down there once lol.
grease and wheel bearings , check tires and spare. nice buy !! enjoy
Great deal, congratulation, enjoy!
