- Join me on my adventure on fixing up my 1994 Jayco Eagle Series Pop-Up Camper! Can’t believe I scored this baby for $340. I will be using it this summer to travel for shoots and shows I’m working at this summer. 📸 Can’t wait to see where this takes me! Thanks for following along for the ride!

I’m sorry about the music. Must have been the headphones I was using while editing. Didn’t think it would bother people this much. There are subtitles if you’re having trouble hearing. (Just click the CC button on the screen) I sadly can’t take out the music after the fact so please try to not take offense. 🙈👍🏼 I verbally apologized in the rehab video as well.
The music is over powering your voice. Basically didn't hear anything you said. Don't like that music it's very repetitive
@@beverlytaylor5221 I understand. I feel like you didn’t read the comment you commented on.😂
I didn't notice it at all.
Very cute pop-up! It's in great shape too! Awesome price! I personally, didn't mind the music as others did. I actually, hardly noticed it. I could hear everything you said too, btw. I hope you get to enjoy it for many years. PS, maybe that waterline in question, was for the potty you removed. Just a guess, though. Lol. Look forward to seeing what you do to it, and your adventures in it. :)
I would think that hose with the strainer on fits into a water jug that you can change The jug as needed. rented one of these from the Navy base while I was in. I don't think I spent $20 for the weekend. That was a really comfortable easy to tow rig. Didn't mind the music at all. It was... relaxing.
Couldn't handle the background music.
Same
😂
We have a 95 Coleman Popup. We love it. I'd get a 12v air pump for the tires, a bottle jack (from Harbor Freight) a 4 way for the lug nuts and a spare tire and wheel (Northern Tool). Great find and a great deal. You will love it...
Way to go girl 🤠👍🏽 !!!!
No wussies allowed 😂
Nice purchase. The second gas hookup is probably for the fridge that used to be in that square hole. I would recommend just buying a portable refrigerator/freezer like a waeko or a brass monkey. They run off either mains power or 12 volt d.c. keep up the good work!
Very cool for $340. Happy for you
Thank you so much!
Love it ❤
JUST STARTED FOLLOWING. I LOOKING FORWARD TO SEE HOW IT COMES OUT
Thank you!! There’s a whole series of videos for you! ☺️
Good find!
Your background music is VERY distracting.
Personally, I don’t like when folks use it.
Just keep it simple.
All the best.

I really enjoy seeing your excitement for the pop-up.

Hard to hear with that music playing in background
Yeah would have been better video without the music. Interesting ✌️

Ever thought about a hearing test
You need hearing aids
Interesting. I've never known anything about a pop up camper till now. Good luck with it.
THE BACK ROUND MUSIC IS DRIVING ME NUTS
Make sure you have someone repack the wheel bearings with grease before you leave on your maiden voyage. They usually dry out when sitting for long periods of time and can leave you stranded on the side of the road!Good score!
I had a boat trailer, even worse because...water, didn't repack the bearings, had one give out on the interstate in Wisconsin.
If you have the desire, it's not a hard skill to learn, especially on such a small trailer.
My husband just did this on our pop up, it’s a mess, but not hard.
@@sharonoddlyenough Strangely enough a guy stopped while I was pulling off to the berm, he happened to have 1 and a can of grease, he even helped us change it.
All he wanted was the cost of the bearing and a beer.
@@MichaelClark-uw7ex Nice!
Looks like a fun project! The stove probably latches to the side of the camper for cooking outside. Looking forward to seeing your progress!
My first camper was a 1997 jaco pop up . Loved that little thing .
You got a great deal! Looks like it’s been really well cared for. A few fixes and your own personal touches and it’ll be good to go. Enjoy!
Only major problems with a pop up are tires and wheel bearings. Make sure wheel bearings are packed with good quality wheel bearing grease and tire pressure is correct before each trip.
Very cheap to do
Did it on two of my campers
Video and project are cool… Repetitious music not so much
Im sorry the music bothers you. I sadly can’t take out the music after the fact. If the music is bothering you, there are subtitles so you can turn it down.
Oh gawd, the music....... other than that, great video. But seriously the music, no more

Looks like a good project. Looking forward to the improvements you'll make. One request, please get rid of the background music. It's not necessary especially since it's so repetitive.

@@morganchapmanmedia lower the volume that would be a big improvement great job though
Great buy, much better buy than the popup I bought in 2010 for a long cross country trip.A little advice. I had many damaged stitches on the tent seams. Good quality waterproof fabric glue, did a great job of fixing them. Also get a 2 foot level and keep it with your camper gear. Use it to level your setup. Before you raise the top. Use it on the roof. I can't remember if I did it front to back, than side to side or the other way around. Than set up the camper and check it on the floor. Even a little bit of unlevel is noticeable if not corrected. Carry some 6inch by one foot boards to place under a wheel on an unleveled camp site. Than drop the stablelizers. One camp I was at needed 8 inches of wood to level out. I even had to put wood under the stablelizers on that side.
I just scored a free sewing awl the other day. They are pretty cheap to buy too. Good for damaged stiches on tent seams and shoes.
If you level side to side first, you can usd your tongue jack to level front to back, then set the stablizers down last.
@@sharonoddlyenough Yes I believe that is how I did it. I also carried a small hydraulic jack for tire changing, greasing hubs and yes, leveling the camper That jack came in handy a lot. Grease then hubs, dry bearings can sieze and weld themselves to your axel. O yea, a good hacksaw, a hammer and lots of time will remove a siezed and welded bearing. Easier to grease em.
@@OWK000 yea stitching is probably best. But the fabric glue was fast and worked really well. I had a lot of rotted seems. Best of all I didn't have to remove any canvas. I also bought some cheap clear shower curtain. Cut to fit a few windows glued at the top below the zippers and installed between the screen and inside covers. On rainy and cold days, I would have good natural light, but
Could keep the camper warm and dry.
Looks like you have a great deal, please get rid of the music.
Im sorry the music bothers you. I sadly can’t take out the music after the fact. If the music is bothering you, there are subtitles so you can turn it down.
Wish there wasn't any music.

Happy for you, I think you got a deal. Be sure to replace the plug end. Your missing the ground ( 3rd prong). Enjoy and can't wait to see it finished!
Thank you! I replaced it in episode 3! 💪🏼
Music is annoying. Can't hardley concentrate on what you are saying lol!
I will say you got a great great deal!!
This is a lovely camper😁

Honestly girl it´s a hell of a sweet deal enjoy working on it, hope to see the next episode...good job congrats!
Thank you! New episode is up!
Sorry I moved on?.... the MUSIC is to loud.. you didn't watch it before you posted..
We had a 1992 version of same floor plan. Ours had a 5 gallon jug that fit into a cabinet near the sink and hooked up to that hand pump. We also installed a small rv fridge in cabinet by front door. We changed hinges to left side so it could be accessed while top was down.
Good luck with the renovation. We had lots of great trips in ours.
5:09 do you shave from the knee caps up only?
One additional thing I didn’t hear mentioned. Repack the wheel bearings. You never know when they were last greased.
Sorry I moved on?.... the MUSIC is to loud.. you didn't watch it before you posted..
Nice. Great buy. I feel like the music is subliminal message to go on a secret mission.
Yo the audio isn’t that bad. If I didn’t read the people complaining about it, I wouldn’t have even noticed it. Why? Because it’s not that loud to begin with lol. Nice find!
Make sure you check the axel, replace the bearings and new tires. Have fun. When I was a kid these were everywhere on the roads and parks.
That's a great deal. Even if it was trash you could've gutted it and sold whatever you could and had a nice trailer frame. I had a 25th anniversary Jayco Pop up and it became a money pit. I ended up putting enough money in to it that could've bought me a decent travel trailer
Okay I love the music it helped my adhd brain focus on her voice and the things she was talking about. I am so happy you found the pop up on Facebook market place. Can't wait to see the adventures in this pop up.
Thank you so much! ❤️😍
Spray water over the top see if you have leaks on the top, but I'm sure you thought of that😊
Background music makes me unable to listen - using CC's.
Lucky you! Looks like it's in great condition! I bought one in similar condition and camped in it for several years. Have a wonderful time fixing it up! My main tip would be to get some canvas treatment to keep it supple and waterproof. Oh, and I agree about the background music!

GREAT FIND! My 22 ft 78 Nomad was only $300. However, once I'd gotten in to it, all I got for that $300 was the tin and trailer. Floors, frame and furniture were all borked. I removed most of the frame and half the floor with a broom. I was prepared to build the whole thing from scratch and just wrap it with the original tin any way. Still... well worth it for the money IMHO!
you need to replace the battery it will get rid of the humming
I am 70 years old and I hear you talking just fine. Me thinks some must have bad hearing...... Not me!!
Keep the toilet! You'll thank yourself later. Give it a good cleaning and save yourself $100 and a 3 am run through the woods at night!
Great find, great deal, even if you fix everything it'll cost FAR FAR less than buying one in perfect condition.
Have fun!
I still have it! Just need to give it a good cleaning!
Nice find. Swap out that power cord plug for one with a ground, I see the ground prong is broken off. That is your biggest concern. Also it is an "inverter," not a converter. Common mix up of words. It allows you to charge the 12v battery while plugged in. The wood damage up top is a little easier said than done to properly repair, but doable.
Thank you so much for explaining! I really appreciate it!
Actually you have the terminology backwards. A converter which is what she has and what it is labeled goes from converts changes the 110 volt shore power to 12 volts to charge the battery. And inverter takes 12 volts DC and changes it to 110 volts AC.
Yes please replace cable with one that has all three prongs. That is a safety hazard.
You can put all the aluminum trim back on with 1/8 inch pop rivets and backing washers. Easier than you think. White Lithium grease in the spray can with the tube is a good lubricant that's heat and waterproof.
Two good days of your life are first the day you buy your pop-up camper and the next best day is the day you sell it
I tried to subscribe , but , RUclips says I have too many subscriptions !!!! Thanks for posting !!!! I'll keep watching !!!!
I just finished a 1994 Jayco 1207 project. Check out my series. There are 7 parts to it. We paid $300 and ended up spending about $2k by the time we were done. We love how it turned out.
do you have a video of it? that is awesome pop ups are great as far as cost effectiveness and storage not to mention the price of new ones I'm looking into getting one as a first time camper
@@sirhc07 Yes, here is a link to my channel. All the pop up video have been from the last 5 weeks and are titled Part 1, 2 ,3 etc. ruclips.net/channel/UCxd2OklepVE7yePIAPNnbawvideos
Great deal, I was given a 98 Jayco Eagle series but I can't get the roof to rise on the back end and there is wood rot on the curb side I'm sure I will have to rebuild the roof, as for the inside it looks good from the door it has a refigerator and ac, I can't wait to get it fixed and go camping, enjoy your camper and I subscribed to see you fix yours
Congratulations. 🎊🎉🍾 yes you have to get rid of the Mold and water 💦 leaks
These are Notorious for both issues. But after that enjoy In good weather. You’ll find a teardrop is much nicer when it rains and it almost always rains I don’t understand why that happens but every time I’ve gone camping it rains
How fun, I think you don’t need music is horrible to hear you.
Im sorry the music bothers you. I sadly can’t take out the music after the fact. If the music is bothering you, there are subtitles so you can turn it down.
Nice find! I haven't read thru all the comments. Looks like there may be some water damages in the camper. Few things I highly recommend. 1. Check there are no molds in the any of the wood and cushions. 2. Get new tires and repack the bearings . 3. Check underneath the camper for any rust and Frame damage. Enjoy !!!
First time viewer and subscriber. I love your optimistic can-do attitude. I think you got a good deal. Especially considering you're willing to do some work on it. Wishing you well.
Awe wow thank you! I really appreciate your kind words!
I dont know the history of these pop up campers or when they first came out but what an invention. These must have been hugely popular early on in their existence, still very popular today, extremely convenient. Great buy even if you spend money on it. These are cozy and Ive always liked them.
Those three lights on the back aren't for looks. They are legally required lights for all vehicles over 80" in width and are referred to as I.D. lights.
I believe that national park and some state parks will not allow it. It has canvass side enclosures and they are not 'bear' proof
Omg this is very cool! I'm building a square drop camper maybe we can camp sometime. I'm near the area.
Water hook up more then likely the ice box. It’s missing lol
Yes drain for ice box.
Why do people feel the need to always have back ground music I don't watch or subscribe to them
Sorry the music in your video is very annoying, would you make your new without music please 🙏
Don't be sorry about anything. You did great and be proud. Mom is a cutie.
Change that creepy music, good luck with your little camper...
Damn I really wish the music wasn’t so intense. I can hear I just wish it stopped.
No need for that awful background music.
Annoying music had me click off at the 3 minute mark.
Try and take a shot every time she says the word "project"
Looking forward to an update video time lapse on how you fixed the rotten wood around the roof and on that bottom part of the body, and how you fixed the actual leaking problem. Great video 👍
Thank you! The restoration video is up!
I have a 93 that needs a canvas same Egale 8 I bought for a project. But it's just sitting since I had back surgery. If you need a back up.
Need to replace the electrical plug…it is missing the ground
Can’t stand to watch with that porno music playing.
I like your video but that music is way too much! I’m out
Yeah the elevator music kind of kills it.
Now you just need a journal to write down your trips yippee!
Ackground music is too loud and distracting.
First week of June I bought a 1985 Coleman popup for $500, I'm repairing the roof and inside ceiling currently. Good luck on your project
just saw one on Craigslist for $250, even a little nicer. all day on those...
Highly doubt that. Haha Pictures are very deceiving
Music is annoying..but great buy.
I bought a Wolfstorm 12 volt compressor fridge off Amazon for my van and have used it for a couple of weekends of camping and it has worked great.
My dad spent a summer restoring one of these when I was a kid, he spent a lot of time on it, but the parts might still be out there for a camper like that. The popup's were pretty popular, easy to store.
I bought a 1973 Dodge 360 "Fireball" and lived f.t. in it while working on it in the Central-Oregon Wilderness for two years. It was rough, but I learned a lot. One of the greatest things you could do is to find (get crafty on) sturdy aluminum and plastic versions of the fixtures in there currently. The less weight, the smaller the vehicle that can pull it, and the less gas-mileage the added weight adds to your haul.
Not to mention it'll look better, and you can take things that WERE large and clunky and replace them with more modern and compact versions that likely take up less resources (fuel, power, battery, water, etc...).
CUT WEIGHT wherever possible.
Personally, at 6' 3", I'd scrap all the canvas and "popup" concept of the whole thing, and just frame in and build walls, with platforms that mount just like the undersides of the pop-out.
You could make a VERY simple modification and wall-mount a small diesel heater and remove that massive p.o.s. one in there. Resell the old one, there's a huge market for old RV parts, especially heaters/ranges/ovens/microwaves/windows/etc...
You'll likely make back, or close to, what you spent on a new one...
I'm actually looking to start doing one myself soon. I have a buttload of lumber and materials.
FYI on your next edit please dont use Music like this.......Its giving me a headache. not necessary. Not trying to be negative. but it will help your audience.
I just got one. Pay something similar. Need wheels and who knows what else. Didn't check it yet. I need if for hunting. I'll make a video for my channel too
The power converter takes 110 volts and changes it to 12 volts DC for running lights and charging the battery. What you think you have there would actually be called a power inverter which takes 12 volts and changes it to 110 volts. The outlets won't work off of the 12 volt battery with the power converter that you have. When you plug into shore power which is the cord you plugged in at your house that's just being directly routed to the outlets inside the camper. The converter doesn't really have anything to do with that. It does go into the converter but only to go through the circuit breaker in there
Music is way too loud!
Im sorry the music bothers you. I sadly can’t take out the music after the fact. If the music is bothering you, there are subtitles so you can turn it down.
Wonderful deal and wonderful project! I love pop up campers because you can easily maintain the "roof" and tow.
Put solar with a inverter, energy independent home for a little extra
Good idea!
I think you got a good deal, that looks like it was taken care of pretty well. That portable toilet is probably clean and in good shape I would just give it a good cleaning to be sure. If that has a water tank be sure to clean it good.
Cute 😍, looks like you got a good deal (sewing or matching duck tape ;)

I got a bad ass fb marketplace deal as well!! 1995 34 foot 1 bedroom full bathroom and kitchen travel supreme trailer, fridge, central heat and ac, full trailer speakers and stereo living room and bedroom slide out. Grand total $700 now its running off solar and has all luxory and room of an apt with dishwasher and washer n dryer its amazing
Excellent buy! Canvas looks in good shape! Look into getting a solar generator or a 1000 watt jackery with solar panel
Thank you so much! Yes I was thinking about getting one of those!
@@morganchapmanmedia I've lived off grid with a 2 bank battery solar generator for 4 years with parts from harbor freight including the solar panels and they have done well. Also a wind generator from Pacific sky to keep batteries topped off at night. Yes I also invested in a jackery 500 and a 300 just as what ever I need them for but I no longer pay for electricity.
We had a Jayco pop-up camper in the mid to late 70's. My mom, dad, brother and I all were stuffed in there together when we traveled 😂
If I remember correctly, there was also a mini-fridge included too. That could explain that empty space. Looks to be about the right size....
For 350? That's pretty good condition for that little. Also a surge protector isn't what would have saved you if there was a short. Your 15/20 amp breaker for your house would have saved you from a fire. Your camper should also have a breaker in there somewhere.
Should watch, "It's Poppin'- Pop Up Camping. Has a lot of info to refurbish. Can also get Info from him. Good luck
music is too annoying.
That was a steel for 350. It honestly looks like it only got used a few times, then stayed folded in the driveway the rest of it's years.
Hey there... We had a pop up camper.. And we installed a stereo in it and upgraded the propane to a double bottle..and moved axle to the top of the springs(cheap man's lift kit) and went with oversized tires for more ground clearance.. That white bracket outside the door on your camper is foe the stove so you can use in outside!💙💙 enjoy.. Happy trails! 👣
I think that would also make a great art studio.
Very good idea!
🌺 Score!!
I wonder if that hose underneath is for a ice chest drain?
This will be fun to follow you and see how you progress.
Looking good already.
