When i hit Startup settings my screen is frozen... and my pc cant be factory restart full, its going to 4% and send me back to login...
Hi! I was able to follow all of the steps until I reached the profile list in task manager. From there, I was unable to locate a file that ended in .bak. There are 4 files that look similar, except for the last one which was followed by a bunch of different numbers. Any idea where to go from here?

You're gonna have to download your windows version onto a flash drive using another windows device. Once the windows version is downloaded onto a USB stick, plug into the problematic PC. When you boot up use SHIFT + Restart. Trouble shoot then in the advanced options portion, choose UEFI firmware settings. Restart using that. You should be at the BIOS screen. In the BIOS settings, restore defaults, by going into the save/exit portion. Then go back to settings and select the "boot" menu option. Choose Boot Option #1 > UEFI USB Key> F10> enter. Then set up your windows version manually.

Sadly I do not have any backup folders inside ProfileList so I wasn’t able to do this method. Any other options?

Alr so I’ve had this problem before with my old pc. I didn’t have the whole user cant sign in problem but I was stuck on the advance repair thing. Try to like purchase a cd or usb with windows 10 or something on it and boot it up with that. Then just reinstall windows with it. I’m not sure if it fixes this problem but it fixes the stuck on advanced repair blue screen. I’m on a screen right now after doing the steps from around 1:53 that just says “Repairing disk errors. Might take over an hour”. If this loading screen that says repairing doesn’t work, I’ll try other methods and then just go towards the reinstall windows because I still have the same usb that fixed my last problem.
That did not work for me. Registry always goes back to a number different than zero. It also takes forever to get into safe mode. Its a Dell 7770 Optiplex.
when i got into the log in section, all is see is "just a moment" and it wont let me type in my password, do you know why?

Mine is having error , i tried troubleshooting it using shift key restart but after i try it again the option above left is turn off pc , the troubleshoot option is missing

I went to recover the PC, and everything went normally, something was loading and I left for 2 minutes and I came back and I'm going to log in to the PC and it says the user profile service failed the sign in, and I found a lot of videos on yt how to solve it and when I go to hold shift and restart the pc and click troubleshoot and select the option like in the video what I'm watching then I get a black picture and nothing happens and the pc is still working, so I can't complete it to the end and solve that problem! help please?!
