What happens if you are in this screen with annabelle and the timer runs out while you are in the screen

Boot sector gets destroyed
you get a jumpscare an then computer turns off and gets destroyed
the computer does BSOD then it restarts, and after it removes everything , even the OS (Windows 7) so there will be a screen with socials and “Miss me? Annabelle”, but you can format the PC or remove the hard drive and switch it for a new one.

So the Virus boots basically before anything else. So it nested itself into the UEFI environment and probably overwrote everything else lmao. I guess in order to get such a PC running again one would have to swap out all drives and the motherboard.

Select boot order from to windows bootable then create the partition of the whole then format. virus cant survive that.

@@1stantonio- The virus shown in this video, there’s pretty much nothing you can do to fix the computer once infected. You can’t pay the ransom even if you wanted to because the links required to do so have been discontinued for a few years. This virus is made to be on a timer you cannot change because this virus takes away the main Windows account administrator rights and will delete everything including system files required to boot properly.

Bios fine virus deletes all the partitions in the hard diver completed like new with no data.

your lucky your boot sector wasn't filled with a bunch of 0's and other trash, if it did, your computer would have of became useless.
Today's computers no longer use BIOS, they use UEFI. This computer is also a VM, so it wouldn't have mattered

Bc he was on Safe Mode and It took some time for the PC to elaborate the command to encrypt everything

@@ooferdooferbruh It's like heart replacement surgery. The virus is gone if you change the HD. Obviously all the hardware is still going to function like all the other laptops. There is a reason why for example your GPU doesn't have its own disk for storage.

And yes, not every laptop is capable of running Windows 8 or the same 10, since they consume a lot of PC resources and they may not be enough for weak laptops/PCs.
