  • After minimal and short-lived results water flushing my heater core for low in-cab heat output, I utilized this process with concentrated detergent and water near boiling temperature. This was successful at restoring great heat inside the truck. This is my first video but im looking forward to posting more outside the box solutions and various content! ‪@Outsidethebox247‬

Thanks a lot man! Did what you did and it worked great! I will try to make it a habit to turn my heater on more often to keep the gunk from settling. Took a little over 100k miles so I guess I shouldn’t complain. I used CLR.

Great video. I was apauled by the amount of gunk in my coolant system at only 40,000miles. I added coolant filter yesterday from sinister diesel. Hopefully this keeps the heater core free of debris.

Hey, thanks for the video. Just curious how this fix has held up? Just found this same detergent at the local auto shop and am going to try this method.

I am also curious how this has held up. Was it a temp fix or is it still going strong?

Flushed my heater core twice with garden hose. Heat last for a few days. How has this fix held up over time?
