- This Tundra was brought in for an intermittent ABS and Traction Control lights coming on. Scanning pulled codes C1201 and C1207 in the ABS module. This indicates an implausible output was received from the transmission range sensor. I visually inspected the sensor and decided to replace it.

I admire your patience with the rust/corrosion. I live in Georgia, its very rare that i have to work on a rotted out car.
PHILLIP, AWESOME work brother not to break that nut/bolt.
Thank you for the insight. Well made video ! Great work !
Thanks for the heads up on the rusty nut problem, and the warning not to break stuff. For any one else doing this- I heated mine red three times and went easy with the wrench to get nut off. Used a flat screwdriver and hammer to break off the compression "fingers". Then used an oscillating tool with bi-metal blade to cut 1/4 inch into the switch body. Once I had a couple slots cut, the screwdriver split things apart no problem.
Glad it worked out for you.
It looks identical to the switch used on the Asian Warner automatic transmissions used for all those years on jeep products. But I've yet to come across one that corroded. My hats off to you for getting it done.
Believe me that's the norm here. They use liquid calcium on the roads here to reduce the ice. Eats everything. Lucky to get 7 years on a vehicle before the body starts falling off here. Thanks for the comment.
I actually fixed my jeep switch and re installed but I can't remember how I broke the corrosion free without damaging the switch. Still working perfectly after 3 years.
Good morning máster thanks for big diagnostic the you show to us
Fantastic, great job 👏
Oh boy Phillip! You can’t get a break! (Well, wrong word, you don’t want it to break!) a simple job turns out difficult and possibly a big mess if you snap something. You were careful! Glad it worked without a mishap.
Thanks for watching.
@@PhillipBailey Any time!
nice job i wont to call you M R patient
Do you know why the same code is still up? I just replaced the part and nothing changed, do i have to do something on the truck?
Is the code current or history. If the code continues to return it could be a wiring problem.
i feel your pean working on that nut
Definitely something that an apprentice would break off...
@@PhillipBailey yes he break it and you fix it. will he is texting on his phone.LOL
Is this for the speed wheel sensor rear? My code is 1201 as well but I also have a 1231
1231 is a problem with the steering angle sensor. Possibly needs recalibration. Do both codes come back as soon as you clear them.
@@PhillipBailey yep they sure do
Likely chasing two problems then
Which scanner are you using?
I'm using the Snap-on Verus Edge
This must be the same with those warnings blinking too?
On these Toyotas there are a multitude of causes for the blinking lights.
I believe that why my truck vibrate at 40-50miles still after i balance my drive shaft
Shouldn't that induction coil turn that nut cherry red?
It will if you leave it on long enough. This is also a cheap heater from Amazon but it usually works.
I have a code for p0705? Range sensor A it says? Why would it be different? 07 tundra
The codes on this truck were in the ABS module. You're likely viewing codes in the pcm?
@@PhillipBailey not sure just a basic ob code reader
@@Filling_tags you will need a better scanner to read the codes from the ABS
Good hep but don't show us how you take off this part out
If you watched the video I had to break the switch apart on the truck.
