    RIT works but I would spray some type of fabric sealer. The paint fades off when you step on it with wet shoes or spills.
    I went with black fabric spray on my ej1 this time see if it holds up better..

    Looks good! Things I've learned over the years is start with a pack of powder with 2 gallons of water and 1 cup white vinegar and use that mix as a "primer" next you can switch to a bottle to get it black black. When done I suggest setting the dye with vinegar and then rinse the pad again. I have had mats bleed onto my shoes in higher temps..not Everytime but a couple times my shoe soles have turned black 😅

    I did an aftermarket carpet in my 88 civic, and it was pretty good and not too hard to trim up, but definitely didn't like how it bubbled in some areas and didn't fit nearly as good as oem. I will donthis next time for sure. I think its worth however getting it professionally cleaned and steamed cleaned with industrial equipment. The cleaner it is, the better the paint sticks. After taking the carpet out of the vehicle, and vacuuming it, take it to a laundromat and wash it once or twice in a big front-loader washing machine (the ones that large comforters are washed in). Use some odor eliminating detergent during the wash cycle. Then dry it gently on low heat. 🎇🌴

    Negative, you don't have to cut the holes as severe as the factory does. And when you buy carpet for your vehicle it is molded to fit. I just did this on my 04 suburban. I was worried about the hole thing to do installed it cut the bolt holes into small circles and cut slits for under console. Installed console first... cut under it where it needed, only the minimum. That helps keep heat and cold in the car too. And then installed seats .. take it from there ya know

      That’ll have to be a video later down the line. It’s only been in my car for about 2 weeks and it still looks great but that’s a short amount of time of course. Seems like it’s going to hold up very well though

    How has it held up over a years time?

      It’s holding up very well, thank you! I don’t usually have many passengers so it’s pretty easy to keep the carpet clean really. But the color is holding great. I’ll have to make an update video to show everyone

      go to the garden isle in any hardware store, should be something called a "chemical sprayer" or something like that.

      @RefineMovement  4 года назад

      Hmm I wonder. I don’t see why not. as long as your headliner is in good shape in the first place
