Favorite Servo? and GO! 🤔
As of this video, it's this one!
awesome look. like the color combo silver / blue. thanks for sharing. it is always a pleasure to see your videos. easy to understand for me - danish is my common language
Thanks for stopping by, Michael!
I have to say I have been waiting to see this completed and running.
Thanks Mark - it was hard to run this thing...It looks so good!
Nice. I've been using AGFRC servos for years with no issues. Great servos.
I can't agree more!
Awesome to see the rig out on the rocks! Looks killer 🤘🏻
Thanks Mark - it's been a long time sitting on a shelf...it was finally time to drive it!
Sweet rig Rich, and a new fun way to end a video😎
Thanks CR! I thought it was a good way. You make it out to that place in SC?
Still the sickest build ever!
Thanks buddy!
It is a ripper I bet. Glad to finally see you put this one to work
Me too, it drives so great. Just need a sway bar now...and a bit of dragbrake for crawling
That things a beast , and here I am thinking I went overboard with a 450oz servo in my Wraith.
Thanks David - yeah, this 'zilla is closing in on 10lbs
Wow nice video my friend👍
Thanks buddy!
My fav servo is the savox 1211sg
I've found Savox to be inconsistent, power wise and very loud
This new beast about the same price as the old. Awsome✌️🤙👍💪
Yep, they could have easily charged more for it, but they didn't
What "old" one??? The other 66kg servo is still in the model lineup.
How is the fitting of this 66kg 16.8v to trx4? I’ve heard the four (4) screw mounts is a little off or not centered.
I honestly thought this was just going to stay on a shelf. Glad ya got it out and ran it. Such a beautiful rig needs to be ran at least once right?😅
I know, it's been on a shelf for 5+ years now...only drove it in my driveway until today! I'll likely run it a bit more....needs a sway bar in a bad way!
How have your other AGFrc servos been holding up? I’ve been looking at them for a while. Their SA33 33kg low profile servo that can also be a winch has really been catching my eye for an ultralight crawler.
They've been solid - I've switched every RC I have now to the AGF servos. They probably make most of the similarly looking servos for other brands anyways. The SA33 is no joke for a lo profile either - I run the similarly spec'd A66BHLW in a ton of cars with zero issues
Nice rig mate, I had a chance to pick up a Matzilla not long ago locally in Australia, I'm kicking myself I passed up on it... doh.!
Do AGF make sway bar as well.? 😉🤣
Cheers 👍
Yeah, Holy Sway Bars! I def. need to add one! Lue's chassis are top of the line and he's seriously OCD, so you know they're great products. I got to hang out with Lue at his shop while he finished mine....super down to earth and loves his BudLite! lol
Lmao, “ima back it off as well” *Sets endpoint right back to 83*
😂 yeah, sometimes you just end up back where you started! lol. Thanks for watching, buddy!
RC newbie here, is the direct power servo going to damage the receiver? If my receiver says maximum voltage of 11V? Direct power servo has a 12V.
The beauty of a direct power servo is that it does not get power through your receiver. Only the signal comes from the receiver. Power is directly from the battery on these - thus the extra wire
I'm somewhat surprised people are connecting these direct power servos to the balance leads: I wouldn't have thought they would handle the required current, or atleast it wouldn't be worth risking a burn out (I assume it's very hard to replace them). Then again the wires in the servo side to the JST are small gauge too... I guess they know what they're doing lol
It's an easy way for the vendor to allow plug and play for these. I usually go back and direct wire them, myself
This is the Reefs trippl7 right? Just rebranded?
Reefs is just a name, not a manufacturer. The 777 is a 14v servo with a claimed 777oz/in, and only able to run on 3s. AGF is a servo manufacturer making servos now for themselves and many others.
The reason I stopped using AGF servos is something is not right in the gears or the programing. When you have pressure on the return cycle it is really rough. Not smooth like most other servos. Very notchy on the return with pressure or resistance on it.
I've never had that issue......and AGF makes a ton of "other brands" servos, FWIW.
I put this on my 4s basher, but the servo saver makes it pointless..
I haven't run a servo saver in years since the evolution of decent servos. Remove the saver and run a straight aluminum horn. If you have a steering rack based saver, crank it down as much as you can
That Mattzilla is a tight rig !! About the servo I am unfortunately not so sure anymore.
It is beautiful! Thanks for watching!
lol
