Love my 777 direct power servo. Don't have to worry about a bec, adding a capacitor or anything. Its got tons of pure twisting power and durable as hell on 3s. Haven't even tried 4s, no need really.
I have an RS800v2 in my Traction Hobby Cragsman C Pro, 1/8th scale and 10.5lbs (I think) and I love it. I had it on 4s the other day, and while standing on it's nose/tires during a big drop on the descent, I was able to shift the entire truck back and forth at will with the servo. On 3s I've moved rocks out of the way that I thought were permanent. It's also been submerged quite a bit. I have a 3 Brothers G14 in my Phoenix, but haven't driven it enough to know yet how good that one is. Keep up the great content!
Awesome, glad you like the 800. I got my first one used from a local guy, and I got another 800 when the Holmes SHV650 shit the bed out of the box. I got a glitchy one, sent it back, and I had them send me a new revolver and copperhead esc. My TRX4 has an AGFRC A81BHMW that I got on Black Friday, and that's a great servo... maybe in your too-fast bucket? I love the strong servos because they can create traction against rocks where a weaker servo might have let the tires slip. I also have like 3 of the SA18 servos running as winches because the A81 came with the USB programmer. Thanks to your videos months ago, AGFRC has not let me down. If I ever get to buying a 4WS Capra, I'll probably run RS500's at either end 👍
Daphne has that Holmes SHV500, and it works great, aside from the Savox-esque level of noise. Loudest servo in the fleet (aside from the Savox in my Kraton) and it annoys me to no end. I don't know where my servo "speed limit" came from, but I've really started dialing the fast ones down-- that 0.14sec area seems perfect, so I'm dialing in to get the 0.09s down to that rate. I love AGFRC, and it kills me to watch the "supply chain" just driving their prices up up up. I still think the SA75 is my favorite servo, just not my "favorite servo at any price."
I haven't figure out whether or not it's just gonna be another Jconcepts K10, or something more "function over form." Also, the idea of painting another one... egghhhh. I still have like 3 go-fast rigs with cut, fitted, yet unpainted bodies. It took a month to paint the Vanimal.
I just put a NSDRC RS2500 V2 in my SCX6. Very impressed with it so far, incredible torque running 3s direct.
