I was in the Royal Navy for 25 years. You had to ask permission to grow a full set beard. Permission. Granted. You went back to see how it was. If it was patchy moth eaten looking. You were told to get it off. I had mine for 25years and only used scissors. And ever body envied mine. I looked like captain Hadock in Tin Tin. But trimmed.

I was happy to see you use the smiling tip. I've been using that trick to trim my moustache for years. But I've always used just a pair of scissors. I've always kept my stache short til recently and I'm experimenting with the handlebar style. Now I'll try it with with clippers as you demonstrated. I bet it will be much faster. Thanks for the great videos.

Cool beard man. I just subscribed. I'm working on my beard (I'm 67 yrs old). It's growing. Not as dense/thick as yours, and it's salt and pepper; but I believe it has hope. It's about 4 inches long now. Mine is wavy. I want to let it grow as long as yours at least. Thanks for the tips. I'll be checking out your other videos for pointers. Much appreciated.

Your vid is right on time. I'm at present a Captain of a salvage tug off the West Africa coast and while waiting for Juju to befall some ship at sea I have time to play with my stash. While not the first time after so many years at sea, now at age 60 it's now the time to get serious. But I do have one problem. Africans for the most part don't have facial hair unless they are from the Zulu Tribe so I am in a pickle finding products like wax. What home remedy for making a wax like product would you recommend? Thanks in advance.

Aye, this tip works a treat.
It tidies up the 'tache nicely. Smiling into the mirror made me realise just how long (and unruly) it was at the ends! There was quite some variety in individual hair length too and after following this tip, they showed out better. So I trimmed them up.
Now my 'tache is nice and neat.
I'm also guessing there'll be less uncomfortable hair making its way between my girlfriend's lips and mine.
      Regards.
