I have a handlebar stache for some time now, and I found out the grooming by myself. Nice to see it confirmed here. Especially about what to do with the middle part. Thank you.
Thank you Mahesh. I learned some great tips about fine tuning my mustache. My sides are kept short already. I am going to try the V parting of my mustache and maybe a bit of a balm to help message it to the sides. ✌️
You're totally right its the mustache not the beard that gets food/drink. Could you please do a video showing us how to do the mustache trim you mentioned. I get what you are saying, but I'd love to visualize it to really understand. Thanks
Matthew O'Reilly. I was so uneasy at 1st cuss I don’t like to trim certain parts of my beard, but after listening all the way through holy shit I wanna try it 😂
I have heard others say yo just let it grow past the awkward stage. The "little hairs" left alone become longer hairs, and it makes the mustache look beefy and full.
Thanks! As with many guys, I can grow a decent beard, but again it's the moustache that appears vestigial compared with the beard. I used to have just the tache and it was a 1/2 decent size, so I really appreciate those guys who have BOTH the big beard and tache as it's not an easy thing to get - and we know the various reasons for that now.
Blessings brother, thanks for the info... I love your vibes!! After watching this video I feel like I just got done meditating.. just like a Bob Ross video ☺
I don't want to sharpen it above the lips by a scissor because it would reduce the thickness and look weird i guess. Can we just use some wax to comb it sideways so it adds to the thickness ?
These are good tips for getting that particular mustache style. However, that’s the furthest from the way I like mine. Mine is a thick chevron style Magnum PI stache with a very small part. Requires daily trimming of strays to have it looking right. My stache naturally curls up at the smile line if I let it, but I like the 80s stache best.
Any advice for the shape under the nose? I cannot figure out if I should be letting it grow out or trimming the hairs that populate and tend to shoot outward around the edges of the nose. I’m thinking I let it grow and then I can blend it in? Otherwise I need to trim it and shape it out from directly under the middle of the nose? Hard to explain? Any suggestions???
Interesting. Don't have any barbershop around my city for beard or mustache trimming. But the underneath hairs definitely get in my coffee and my food quite abit. It's been the biggest problem I have had since growing out my mustache
Mine grows unevenly and it drives me nuts. Left side: perfect curl, thick, manageable. Right side: unruly, whispy, needs half a tin of wax to tame. I smoke, and I hold my cigs on the right side. Could that have an effect?
I've had a beard for years but since July 2019 I've got a bald patch in it and it's getting bigger to the point I've shaved off to a goatee , really annoying me , any tips ?
Great video! Very informative. Do you have any tips for when looking for a proper barber? The barbers in my area don't know how to trim a mustache or beard. I have tried several, bringing photos of the style I want just to have my beard and moustache mangled. These are not the same babers my dad went to when I was a young.
Had a trimmed marstosh ( heh heh ) for forty years, but have only recently decided to release it into the wild, looks a bit Sam Elliot but not quite there yet, it is a hungry swine at mealtimes and I am scared now of trimming. No Barbers near me I would trust !! Will take your advice on doing the underneath.
I've just started using beard oil. I apply it in the evening after shower and in the morning after washing my face. My question is, can i also apply a face moisturizer (as my skin is dry after shower / in the morning) and then beard oil or reverse? Or should i only use beard oil...
Here’s my word of advice: I’d personally avoid the facial moisturizer unless it was all natural, or at least like 99% natural. You don’t want chemicals in your beard - it’ll make it brittle and even more dry. I would use something like the Beardbrand Beard Softener in the shower to soften it up and give it some moisture, then put in the beard oil afterwards. I’d view the beard oil as the facial moisturizer.
Seth Shumaker the reason you use beard oil in the first place is so that the beard and skin underneath won't get dry. You must have just some rather bad oil, I think.
Any tips for someone with a mustache that is growing in now but in different directions. Send to grow up in some areas and down in others. the ends of my mustache are growing a little bit longer than the rest so that I can connect it to the beard but I don't know if that is necessarily the right way to do it. I seem to keep right above the lip shorter. I want to grow it out a little bit but I do not want it in my mouth that bothers me LOL
So mine naturally goes into a sort of handlebar shape it does the up curve itself is that because it doesn't grow in the bridge anyway 😂 so I have the natural v cut.
I live in Philadelphia, PA. tons of barbers and stylists around me... but I can't find one that I know is skilled with modern beard and mustache styling/grooming. Any suggestions or tips for finding someone knowledgeable in the area? I have a full handlebar right now and have no clue what to do with it style wise or maintenance wise - it's been trimmed once since growing it last october (and poorly).
Is there any shame in dying your mustache? I have very dark brown, almost black hair on my head but my mustache is growing in light brown with touches of dark red in it. Looks a bit out of place to me to where I've been asked if I've dyed my mustache red before. Any tips?
My stache I'm growing out trying to get a handlebar but no matter what I try to do I cannot control the right side it frays out every direction even with stache wax please any other information I could try ?
Mahesh I've learnt a lot you and the guys in your shop, do you recommend twisting the tips when trimming? I've heard a few people say never to do that.
Sir, i have a prob. Regarding my mustach..sir, on one side the growth is good but on other its not. I mean to say that one side length is good n grow well but on other side is grows damn slow.. n always have un even lenght as compaired to other.... sir, pls guied me through this ..pls 🙏🙏
My 'stache is grey, wiry and hard to control. I'm growing it out trying to get the same side sweep thing Mahesh has. I oil, wax and comb it but it just droops and curls down towards my mouth and 5 minutes later, I am the walrus. Is blow drying it essential to get it to behave?
I’ve been blessed with horrible cheek and neck growth. However. God has graced me with not only the fervor to rock a stache, but a much thicker upper lip than my brother and father who have great beards. However I need tips on eating burgers and sandwiches and etc with a stache. Even with it waxed and combed it can be a painful experience
#beardbrand. I take it you don’t like the Boston wailer....lol. I have my first competition coming up in a couple weeks and have always had bad luck trying to do my stache. I’m going to a professional barber next week to see what he can do. I’m hoping for the English stache. Wish me luck
I Want Lee If you have dark hair get some dark wax. When mine was coming in it was lighter than my hair and a bit reddish and it was still a bit thin, the dark wax helped make it look better till it filled out.
Welp, it’s official. Dude is the coolest guy I’ve ever seen.
Love the way he says mawstosh
And he pronounces "still" as "steel".
more like mastaaasch
Said it wen i saw ur msg lmao00o00
leave muhstash alone. Get your own
He’s English, in England it’s spelt moustache and pronounced the way he says it. It’s Americans that (once again) simplified it to mustachce.
I have a handlebar stache for some time now, and I found out the grooming by myself. Nice to see it confirmed here. Especially about what to do with the middle part. Thank you.
Always love your advice sir.. Thank you mahesh. You are an inspiration. Have a great day
When I struggle with sleeping I play this video for him to say “mustache”, literal ear candy.
Thank you Mahesh. I learned some great tips about fine tuning my mustache. My sides are kept short already. I am going to try the V parting of my mustache and maybe a bit of a balm to help message it to the sides. ✌️
Great tips Mahesh. Much appreciated. I wish you well.
Genius!!! Master barber!!
You're totally right its the mustache not the beard that gets food/drink. Could you please do a video showing us how to do the mustache trim you mentioned. I get what you are saying, but I'd love to visualize it to really understand. Thanks
Trimming the smaller hairs close to the lip is golden advice
Matthew O'Reilly. I was so uneasy at 1st cuss I don’t like to trim certain parts of my beard, but after listening all the way through holy shit I wanna try it 😂
Same! I was trying to figure out to trim or not to trim. This makes sense.
Will those smaller hairs eventually grow long or is that the way they are?
I have heard others say yo just let it grow past the awkward stage. The "little hairs" left alone become longer hairs, and it makes the mustache look beefy and full.
Mahesh's advices & tips me finds the most useful. Respect.
Glad to hear that! We have more coming soon

I love this , I do have a good beard and my beard does grow well , but I do struggle sometimes in actually what to do with my Mustache
I'm watching all sorts of videos to get as much advice and Ideas as I can. Thanks mate.
love for Master barber Mahesh from Tunisia
"0:43 Unless you're Amish" That's hilarious, considering how many traditional Amish watch RUclips videos. :D
“They’re hungry little buggers” 🤣🤣🤣
I laughed way harder than I should have when he said that.... As I was wiping coffee out of my own mustache.
Guy's voice is better than a massage (mah-sawge)Soothing!
Blessings brother, thanks for the info... I love your vibes!! After watching this video I feel like I just got done meditating.. just like a Bob Ross video ☺
Namaste!
Great video Mahesh and I also agree with keeping the stache, Cheers.
Man you are such a great professional!
Amazing tips...I wish I had my beard done by you one day.
Greetings from Brazil!
Don't you think he should just might as well trim his whole moustache off
It will look more hygienic
Could we get a separate vid going in to more detail regarding trimming the hair under the mustache, right above the lip?
I don't want to sharpen it above the lips by a scissor because it would reduce the thickness and look weird i guess. Can we just use some wax to comb it sideways so it adds to the thickness ?

Mahesh, that's the finest mustache I have seen.
Sir I thank you. ❤️ from Glasgow 🏴
Namaste, Mahesh! Mahesh here. 😊
namaste mahesh
Miyu, hello and namaste to you. Miyu is how we greet our people, payom cawichum, the people of the west. ✌
I have an proper mustache growth but my right side of mustache never curl properly .. what should i do?
Any advice for the shape under the nose? I cannot figure out if I should be letting it grow out or trimming the hairs that populate and tend to shoot outward around the edges of the nose. I’m thinking I let it grow and then I can blend it in? Otherwise I need to trim it and shape it out from directly under the middle of the nose? Hard to explain? Any suggestions???
I love the work Mr Mahesh!
This was great. Really helpful and remarkably relaxing
What about style tips for those of us who can grow a great thick moustache but a whispy beard please
So you mentioned oil before heating to not break hairs. What about sea salt spray. I don’t hear this mentioned much lately.
Good tips bloke!
You are such a great professional
Greetings from Brazil.........
great mustache tip Sir...I really struggle to eat and drink...the stache comes in...hopefully now I can keep a gaint mustache too...Regards
Amazing tips. I wish you work in NYC. I would be your costumer for sure!
Interesting. Don't have any barbershop around my city for beard or mustache trimming. But the underneath hairs definitely get in my coffee and my food quite abit. It's been the biggest problem I have had since growing out my mustache
Dude his mustache is really dope
Mine grows unevenly and it drives me nuts. Left side: perfect curl, thick, manageable. Right side: unruly, whispy, needs half a tin of wax to tame.
I smoke, and I hold my cigs on the right side. Could that have an effect?
Great advice again, I love these videos 👍
You have the best mustache ever mahesh!! 👌👌👌👌
Love from India
Great mustache tips, thank you Mahesh!
Nice. Helpful information! Thanks and Best Wishes!
I've had a beard for years but since July 2019 I've got a bald patch in it and it's getting bigger to the point I've shaved off to a goatee , really annoying me , any tips ?

What can I do about split ends at the tip ends of my mustache? Should I trim them?
Any video I see him in, even if it’s slightly related to my results, I have to watch it
Never a bad video if it's some Mahesh advice
Had a trimmed marstosh ( heh heh ) for forty years, but have only recently decided to release it into the wild, looks a bit Sam Elliot but not quite there yet, it is a hungry swine at mealtimes and I am scared now of trimming. No Barbers near me I would trust !!
Will take your advice on doing the underneath.
My moustache just looks like spider fangs.
mygalomorph or araneomorph?
Same
Hi Mahesh - can you give some tips on how to do stache like Selleck?
I've just started using beard oil. I apply it in the evening after shower and in the morning after washing my face. My question is, can i also apply a face moisturizer (as my skin is dry after shower / in the morning) and then beard oil or reverse? Or should i only use beard oil...

I have a few hairs that want to consistently curl inward. Should i be patient to let those get longer have cut them?
Any tips for someone with a mustache that is growing in now but in different directions. How long should I let it grow before I start trimming it?

When I use a drier the hairs on my beard split and had to get 2 inches cut off. Did you say put oil on first?
George Mooyman apply product first. Oil, balm, whatever, product first.

Thanks

Mahesh literally means a god ..
Thoughts on pencil-thin moustaches?
Very informative!
Mahesh I've learnt a lot you and the guys in your shop, do you recommend twisting the tips when trimming? I've heard a few people say never to do that.

I love my stache I just hate eating it lol
His mustache and beard is identical to the Beardbrand logo.

Thanks for the advice. I'm currently growing out my mustache so this was a very timely video.
Can never be too much mustache talk though.

Growing out my mustosh atm
Mahesh???are u from India?plz let me know
Please what is the song of the intro?
My stache isn’t big, but it’s the hungriest of buggers!! Hopefully because it’s a “growing boy”!
My mustache isn't bad. It's just mostly blond, so you can't see the light blond hair very well. I guess I need a couple months for it to pop.
I Want Lee If you have dark hair get some dark wax. When mine was coming in it was lighter than my hair and a bit reddish and it was still a bit thin, the dark wax helped make it look better till it filled out.
