You could try and improve the quality of your own software for streaming. My streams (including webcam quality) look great in OBS Studio but incredibly pixelated in Elgato software. The bitrates match in both softwares and I've altered all other settings to try and improve stream quality. Your software does not cut it

I added like you said, but I have an echo on stream cause the sound coming from the elgato card is played on the elgato game card source and computer audio source, is there a way to fix that?

The elgato never shows up in sources and I’ve just been watching so many videos on how to actually set this up but I might as well continue streaming without overlays and stuff because OBS is just too confusing

Will it work with all the devices even HD 60, I was using the hd60 all this day on Mac and it won't support on o b s so I was about to buy different capture card. Thanks for the video let me try I using it on windows PC.

Do you have to have elgato open and obs while streaming to twitch from elgato and does that mean obs will fix the elgato if you have adjusted bitrate on obs ?

Question: I bought the Elgato HD60 Pro because streaming on OBS and having my CPU do all the work was lowering my framerate in game. Now that I have the HD60 Pro and OBS setup, I notice my CPU is still being taxed. I thought the HD60 Pro was supposed to take on the work of encoding?
When using OBS Studio, I've noticed sometimes the pass-through for the HD60 Pro will be slightly off sync with audio/video. It fixes itself when I deactivate and reactivate it in OBS Studio. Is there a way to prevent this from happening so I don't have to keep reactivating it 2-3 hours in? I've turned off buffering which was originally on Auto to see if that might help? Is there anything else, or is it OBS?
So, i have a few questions,
1.Can my audio from my headset (game audio and me and my friends audio) be recorded too?
2. When i click start recording, does it record the xbox or laptop?

Is it necessary to have the Elgato game capture software to stream with OBS?
But how do you PLAY the game when it's through your PC... do you have to maximize the OBS screen and have to view yourself in the bottom of the screen, and your overlay and stuff? Or are you supposed to use your TV where it's set up? Which in my case is in the living room and my PC is in the office. So how do you do that?

I've been using OBS to stream on twitch, and I hate the fps drop when I play games. Will this help with the fps drop at all? Cuz it seems strange. It is using OBS to capture another software that is capturing the game. So twitch is still actually streaming thru OBS? confused lol

I'm wondering if my current setup will allow me to get sound for my streams using the Elgato HD60 Pro. I don't have a TV at the moment, so I only have 2 computer monitors for my gaming desktop. My main monitor only has a DVI connection & I use a DVI to HDMI cable plugged into my desktop. What I'd like to know if whether or not there's a way for my stream to be able to pick up the sound from my Nintendo Switch that would use the Elgato HD60 Pro? I don't have a monitor that has a HDMI connection, so that's why I'm using a DVI to HDMI cable at the moment. If someone can provide some info regarding this problem, then that would be great. Thank you.
Hello! When I follow this video, I can hear the audio in my headphones, but the audio mixer thing that was added along with it doesn't move, despite being set to full volume. I've played around with the settings, but it doesn't want to work. What settings are recommended to get it to be able to be captured?
Edit: When I use "capture audio only" the mixer moves, but I can't hear anything. Any other setting, I can hear, but OBS can't.

I don't see that option for Elgato HD60 under device. I have a mac so it looks a little different. Do I have to do something to my elgato to connect to OBS? I closed the Elgato Application because you said doing both is bad?
This is for Windows only. For Mac you need to use Elgato Game Capture software. ^Jeff

@@moms6796 as much as this will sound like a shameless plug, I made a video on it. If you have super duper fast and unlimited internet, open a folder called EGC_LIBRARY (it's where the videos are saved after you record them). They will be marked as ".ts", but they are video files. You can upload those directly to RUclips, but they're gonna be HUUUUGE depending on your resolution settings (@ 1080p, a 10 minute video is over 1GB). If you want to edit the footage or anything other than upload it directly, you'll need to watch my video to know what to do.... Or, as this just occured to me, upload the video, and then just redownload it... But that'll take longer than the video I made. It's called "Elgato HD60 S Sound Desync Solution".
@@moms6796 I'm having this problem too. My Elgato card works fine in the Elgato program but won't export my video overlay however won't even detect it under sources on OBS?!

What can I do against the delay? When I use my PC mic it's instant but the consoles action comes a little bit later.
Can you use OBS with the old Game Capture HD? I can't seem to get it to work and I've downloaded the OBS link and while my game capture is hooked up properly (because it works in the Elgato software) I can't seem to get it to be found as a source in OBS or OBS link. I have a Mac, also.

Hey, how did you get that menu to pop up for your capture card? I keep getting a white window with black text telling me my device info, nothing Elgato related, though.

i have a one simple question. İ stream with my destkop pc. İf i use capture card would my stream look better? my network and pc set up is just great. İ want my viewer to see what i see on my screen. But they dont see clean enough. Would capture card help for that?

Can you hear audio through headphones that you used to record or do you have to have the audio go through separate speaker?
You can listen to audio either with headphones on the computer where your Elgato capture card is connected or using your normal console headset when connected through Chat Link Pro.
Q: My picture from the Xbox (Elgato H60) is distorted (mushed together). When I check "Preview Scaling" in OBS it says "1920x1080" but when I check "Source/Properties/Configure Device" - it says 640x480x30. In the Elgato software it says "1080/60fps". Any solutions? thx
Configure Video in Your layers and set the Custom resolution to 1080 x 720
Only issue I got is I don’t have the option to select elgato in my OBS. Have legato software installed etc.
Know the card works as have had it working via the elgato software. But OBS isn’t picking anything up.
