FIX Elgato Game Capture Sound Audio Delay or Out of Sync

- This is a fix for OBS sound delay with an external capture card like the Elgato HD60 x Elgato HD60 or HD60s, HD60 S+ etc. This is for the tricky issue where audio is fine at first, but throughout the stream/recording and over time game audio gets out of sync.

The good people at Elgato tried multiple times over multiple phone calls to fix this issue with me, but they couldn't figure it out. You sir are a savior!
I can't thank you enough for this video, I was about five minutes from losing my mind if I couldn't fix this lol Weird thing is it just started happening seemingly out of nowhere and I couldn't understand why. Everyone keeps saying this is the fix and I’ve tried it multiple times and it doesn’t work for whatever reason.
I've never been able to fix this issue and I've tried everything. Nothing that I've tried worked! I shouldn't have to be tweaking it after purchase for such an expensive device! To this day I still haven't been able to resolve this annoying problem. I have to do manually resync, I even know how many ms it needs to resolve the issue however when placed within OBS it still doesn't work.
I hope this fix works for me! Was streaming last night and my game audio just completely stopped for about 6-7 seconds on the VOD. When it came back on, it was delayed by about 5-6 seconds. Worst part, this happened an hour in to a 6 hour stream so basically the entire VOD has delayed game audio now. 😬
Not working. Slowly the delay comes back, then randomly the audio will stutter/catch up and the delay will be gone again until it slowly comes back. WTF!
Hello, I appreciate the video but I am still having issues. When I change to your settings like monitor and output and turn off what you said it starts double echoing and when I put it back it it is fine but this still does not answer my problem. When I play my game on my gaming pc my audio is still delayed by a second in the game and it is very annoying I have tried multiple videos and cant seem to figure it out. if you could get back to me that would be great thanks
The second part didn't work for me, my cap card wouldn't show as an audio input device. BUT, the first part completely solved my issue, I changed from Default to 1080p, 60fps and it completely fixed the problem. Thanks a lot.

You might've just saved my sanity. 2 almost 3 months of dealing with this out of NOWHERE. constantly adjusting with a delay filter throughout my stream because chat says it off AGAIN. you sir, are a LEGEND. Tried this out and the last 2 days have been audio-issue-free. Thank you!

After a month of recording desync issues this seems to have fixed it fingers crossed. By far the easiest and most concise video to follow. Thank you sir!

Trying to boost this in the algorithm cause I've had a similar issue where the audio is just straight up out of sync sometimes, and it's been that way for years. Restarting OBS usually helped, but this time I had no luck. For me just disabling the buffering worked (so thanks for showing that as well lol), but the separate audio source was genius! Thank you so much man

This has been the most help for resolving the Elgato Nintendo Switch audio falling out of sync. I've struggled with this for months now and all trouble shooting only reset the audio, but for streaming long hours, those milliseconds add up eventually falling noticeably out of sync. This video has fixed the issue 100% Thank you so much.
