Do I need to download the elgato software? I bought OBS studio already. About to research what the elgato software is for. Not sure if I need it or not.
Never mind. I figured it out. I’m at the point where I gotta figure audio out and then customize my twitch. Which is totally up to me lol ima check out the OWNED SUBSCRIPTION

Can I stream music on Spotify using my Xbox, HD 60 S+ and MacBook Pro? From what I see in this setup and video at the 6:23 mark I can, correct?
Yup! You'd play it from your Macbook Pro and it would come out of your desktop audio source :)
Sorry for all the questions just trying to get started and you seem like you know what your talking about. I have a capture hd60+ and a MacBook Air and a PS4 but I don’t know have any clue as to use streamlabs obs and I need to use the chat link I guess cause I’m not getting audio from my PS4 to my Mac which is weird so that’s why I asked. Thank you and have a good day bro
I haven't used the chat link before with elgato so I'm not sure I can help with that :/
I want the best quality for recording only and I got a HD60s+ back when I had a Mac but now I have a good Pc. Which do you recommend? OBS display capture doesn’t seem to bad but if HD60s+ is better then I’ll use that

Hey how do you get your mic to sync perfectly with the lips and words ? I'm struggling with that for some reason
It should just automatically be in sync, but you can go into the audio settings and manually change the timing I believe.
So I have 2 monitors and I’m setting up my Elegato so on the left I can play my xbox and on the right monitor I can have my OBS up and display my Xbox screen. The problem that I have ran into is that. Since I’m plugging in the HDMI from my xbox and I’m plugging it into the IN on the Elegato. How will I then play my game on my left screen if I only get 1 HDMI port on my xbox?
you do that and then add another hdmi cable and plug the cable from hdmi out from the elgato into the hdmi of your 2nd monitor
so i have the elgato 60hd plus capture and i followed your same steps ....
my main issue is when viewing the gaming content on obs studio why is it so laggy like the game picture shows up but everything has a weird lag to it , but on my main display where im playing the game from is completely fine 🤔
I'd double check you plugged it into a USB 3.0 port and not USB 2.0 port

Sorry not sure about that one!
Your videos have helped me TREMENDOUSLY. But I do have a question. My HD60S+ is capturing the screen/gameplay from my Xbox one S totally fine. I have a usb mic (AT2020) and an A40 headset with attached mic (no mix amp). If I wanted to just use the headset/mic, how do I make sure the capture card is getting my audio and Xbox party chat?
Also, if I decided I wanted to use my USB mic instead for the better quality, do you know how I would set that up? I’m sorry for the long question :(
So if you want to use the USB mic, then you should be able to go into the OBS audio settings and select the headset from the mic list :) The other question is a better question for the elgato team: www.elgato.com/en/contact
@@CpawsMusic shoutout to you for replying so quickly! I actually am testing it with my friend and recorded a test video. With the usb mic set up, my friend can hear me through the controller headset mic, I have audio output on Xbox to “headset & speakers” so he sounds super weird in my headset, but in OBS (and on my stream I would assume?) he sounds normal. Idk if this is how it’s supposed to be though😅

Hey man. I don't have a USB 3 cable and I'm lost. Can you help me please?
You need a USB 3.0 Port, not the cable, if you don't have one, you can get a different capture card on Amazon that does usb 2.0 :)
I use a wireless headset that connects to ps4 with usb dongle. How do I make sure the capture card records console audio (gameplay, my voice, and game chat or party chat)?
Not 100% sure on that sorry, but you can email Elgato and they'll likely have a solution for ya!

Got a video that shows how to add audio if u use the aux jack from Elgato to use with a Headset?
I do not, but I'll definitely add it to the roster!
Can I record and save clips with this app or specifically stream?
You can do both!
My capture card does not show up under audio as a device I can choose...
You don't need it for the OBS Audio Settings, but you can double click on the capture card source and enable custom audio device if you'd like :)
Can you get a 2.0 usb laptop to use a 3.0 usb splitter in order to use the Elgato Hd60S+ ?
Great question! Not sure on that, but if you contact Elgato then they'll know!
I stream on my PS5 using OBS on kick/twitch/ RUclips. By any chance is there a way to to change some settings so I can hear the alerts on my ps5 headset while I am playing?
you can set the browser source audio to output and monitor at the same time in the obs advanced audio properties :D
Hey man love your videos ! I have a Mac book air pro the 2021 version send help!
Try setting your Xbox audio settings to come out of both your TV and your Headset, usually that forces it to capture all audio
Wait I’m confused so are u able to have alerts and everything on there or is that only with Streamlabs and also what is the difference between those two ?
You can do alerts on OBS Studio, watch my latest video before this one and it explains everything.
Hey man. Every time I try to hook up my ps5, everything is working fine. But when I use OBS, that "Video Capture Device" doesn't show anything when I select my HD60 s+. Do you know what's going on?
Do you have it open in any other programs? If you have the image open in another program at the same time then it won't show. Otherwise are you using a USB 3.0 port?
