Have a 1999 F-150, XLT extended cab, 4.2L. Headlamps went out. Running lights, high beams all worked. Neighbor checked the fuse box near the emergency brake...continuity, chk'd the fuses, all okay. He then pushed all the fuses in. WAA-LAH ! Fuses over time, worked their way loose. He saved me a bunch of $. Who knows what a shop would have charged me ? I thought a fuse, headlamp bulbs or headlamp switch was bad. So, always FIRST check the fuses. You , like me might save you a lot of money.
The red wire in the first box is for the fuel pump (fuel pump relay)? Is the wire just going to ground? Is the fuel pump relay taken out all the time? I have seen this done on another video and I also have problems with my f150 v6 cranking but not starting.

Do you have the owner's manual to your truck? If so, check the fuse box diagram, and if not, check a fuse box diagram for your truck on the internet. You will be able to find out which fuse powers what by looking at the diagram. Hope that helps!

one fuse box covers the motor functions and the interior fuse box covers the interior and SOME external functions like he fog lights...etc.
