Glad to see other competent technicians out there. Not just firing the parts cannon.
Thanks for Watching!
One of the Best Diag techs on RUclips!! Salute!!
Thank you!
Great content and diagnostic
GREAT VIDEO ,,,, I REALLY LIKE THE CONTENT ON THIS CHANNEL . PLEASE KEEP THE VIDEOS COMING I WON'T MISS ANY OF THEM THANKS FOR YOUR TIME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍
I appreciate that!
Awesome video. Great content and diagnostic. My suggestion is to look into a Otc breakout box. Everything is labeled and the volt reading is nice and bright
Thanks for the info!

Great Technician just like me
Thank you for your time and knowledge. I have a question about your mini scope- where did you buy the cover with handle?
Thank You!

Great Video.. I hope this is my problem too on my 2010 Impala and I can fix it myself... One question, The title Says No Power to PCM and TCM but isn't PSM specifically ECM in this case?
You are correct in this vehicle it is the ECM
Thanks for sharing good informative video.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for your time sir
Where did you get the test leads you have in the video
Thanks for watching! I got that lead set from AES wave
www.aeswave.com/uTest-Advanced-Terminal-Test-Kit-p9748.html
I don’t understand how you are measuring resistance on the bus when there is voltage present on the bus at the same time, unless you waited for the bus to go to sleep. Thanks for the video!
I waited for bus to go to sleep. Thanks for watching!
i need to order 0ne
Great information here! What kind of scope are you working with?
Thank you! It was the Aes wave uScope.
I just plugged in the scan tool after replacing the air mode modules to recalibrate and it's not communicating with the scan tool and it won't turn over or start. starter spins when bypass the starter relay and 12v to the ecm ? I thinking it might be a bad ecm . I did unhook the battery while replacing the ac mode modules, any one have any ideas ?
tks
Thanks for watching!
Just did a video on the newer gm gen 3 serial data and 120 ohms is good on pin 6 and 14 at the dlc
Yes, I just had a 2020 Malibu, the gateway itself has 120 ohms. You always have to look at SI on the newer vehicles. Thanks for watching!
👍👍
What is the tool you are using for diagnostics? It looks like an iPad with specialized software. I bought a Chinese knock off GM Multiple Diagnostic Interface. I paid $45 to reprogram sensors on gm tech line. So I can tell that I’m in a much similar situation as this customer. No communication with the ecm and tcm. No prndl. I could however connect and flash the BCM. I also have an ABS light on. So I’m thinking this is the exact same problem that I have.
You did a good diagnosis, however it seems like you forgot to check powers and grounds to the abs module before replacing it. However it seems like one was there laying around. And that probably through you off, I don't know, only you do. Keep up the good work.
Really good point! I did check them off camera before I spoke to the customer, But I lost the 2 clips of me checking them and the next clip of me examining the parts car, showing how it was missing a head etc.
I was going to reply the same thing. Also those holes in the wires that the bypass clips made need to be filled in with the connector down in that location.
@@jimr549 Yes when I put every thing back together I put liquid electric tape on the holes.
Nice diag where did you get your u-scope cover from ?😊
Thank You for watching!

Is that the u scope your using in the video?
Yes with the jarhead diagnostics case and a Pico lead.
That's why they had the abs module unplugged
Your a legend
Thank you!
What brand is oscilloscope??
Its the Aes Wave uScope, www.aeswave.com/uScope-Basic-Kit-p9621.html
It's in a case from @jarheaddiagnostics.
Hi what name the small device orange one
Its the AES wave uScope. www.aeswave.com/uScope-Basic-Kit-p9621.html
Thanks for helping me
where did you get that setup for the uscope thats sweet
when do you have time to upload these? ep tof shin pay gimel
Good diagnosis. Only comment I'd make is to use some .024" solid copper wire to jumper the can bus pins at the face of the ABS module connector. I try to avoid piercing wires as much as possible or at least use some liquid electrical tape to seal the pinhole.
I usually use my AES wave brake out kit to jumper the wires but the small ones broke, I always seal up the holes when I'm done testing with Liquid electric tape or clear nail polish, Just don't usually show me putting the car car back together in the video. I might start adding it into the video because of all the comments I'm getting😉
what scope model
uScope from AES wave
@@advancedleveldiagnostics your probe is coming out different place. Do you have a special enclosure?
@@namechane1758 Yes I am using a case from Jarhead diagnostics
www.jarheaddiag.com/shop/p/uscopecase with a Pico Test Lead
Do you see any advantage or disadvantage of using identifics over all data
In my opinion they both have there place, I like all data the best for wiring diagrams as it can put them all on one page and you can select a wire and it highlights it through out the whole diagram. Identifix just started allowing that also but IMO it's not as good. another advantage of alldata is there is info on later model vehicles. I have identifix for the fixes not to use it as a silver bullet but as direction and sometimes they say how to test something.
Come help me with my car
Liquid tape...
That's what I use, or clear nail polish, I just didn't video putting the car back together.
