Awesome efficient diag process. Can't beat a test light and wiggle check for tracing those shorts to ground! Sad to see the PCM and injector Parts Cannon before you got there and fixed it NO PARTS REQUIRED :)
Come on people lets give this guy subs..he deserves more subscribers 👏..even Phad is watching him😊..great diag sir keep posting informative vidz.cheers
If the Ford door chime was ment to get hour attention they should receive an award. I respect your decision at the beginning "Not" to go down the rabbit hole of following the other shops work😊
I do mobile diagnostics and repair as well. I hope I can become as clever as you and Ivan. Love your videos. I always forget the test light, wiggle check for shorts. Thanks for bringing it back to memory. 🎉🎉
Saved a lot of time by understanding the short to ground could be proven by disconnecting the computer. Perfect pivotal test, light stays on its the circuit, goes off and we’re looking at the computer.
Please keep the videos coming. I’ve been a tech for over 20 years. Chasing down and diagnosing electrical issues is what I love to do. Just watching you guys use all of the special tools to narrow down and identify the problems are truly amazing. I always told my customers that normally a wire issue can be found quickly or it will take a while. Good work guys.
Well done! A good argument against an overlay...the other wire may have created a problem in the future. Obviously more time in locating the short but results in a complete job. Keep the diags coming my friend!
Nice job on fixing the problem. I watch these videos to learn from . Saves me a lot of money .. seems like i heard check points of contact on wiring harness..... i watched a fellow take a pair of wires and twist them up in a drill to be used as a splice. Repair on a can networks. C can i think . He just spliced in the wires in the harness . Saved a lot of money . I appreciate these videos thanks
I have been watching your channel for a while. Of course I’m subscribed. The wife must b smiling on u. No more raggedy Suburban. Every Scan Tool, Computer, All Data subscription and Identifix that money can buy for our Tech. Cost? Don’t sweat it, u can’t take it with u. And a proper truck to haul all the goodies. Good show!!!!! I watch and enjoy all the vids. This one was fun. I would have taken that bolt stud out and thrown it as far as I could. Replace with a regular bolt. I bet that shop loves u.
Really great job. Well done. Just an advice if use table like the on used for the patient bed in hospital it's very helpful for arranging tools and labtop and other things.
I’d be curious if that yellow wire was the cause of the injector circuit open code as well. Also did you tell him he needs a purge valve for the classic cannot bleed fuel tank vacuum lol
The injector code was because #6 injector was unplugged. I think they saw the car running rich because of the timing so they assumed it was an injector issue. As for the bleed down code I completely forgot about it, until now😂
Great diag, first thing, what electrical test lead kit do you have? And having to hold that little flashlight all the time in one hand would drive me nuts, i definitley recommend the rechargeable LED headband lights for this work.
I don't know if the customer had to pay or not, it was in a different shop. It's also possible that it needed injectors and they built in this problem when they took it apart.

He talks fast as he works fast. On most other channels, this would be a 1 hour+ video. Great work!
Thanks 👍

Classic Electrical Diagnostics. Something a general mechanic, programmer or key guy can not do, just pointing that out. Good job 👍
Great diagnosis and fix ! WHAT type of story does the other shop tell the customer after the PCM and injectors and it does the exact SAME thing ?
Well done!
A good argument against an overlay...the other wire may have created a problem in the future. Obviously more time in locating the short but results in a complete job.
Keep the diags coming my friend!
Good point! Thanks for watching!
Awesome to see the steps and thought process on diagnosing that shorted ground wire 👌 thanks for videos
Thanks for watching!
The more and clearer the WIRING DIAGRAMS you show us, the more interesting is the video.
Waiting more videos from you 😊😊😊
nice diag and repair following the process.
Thanks 👍
Glad you found the problem (and others too!) So many are quick to run a wire not realizing there could be collateral damage in the area.
I agree, I try not to run overlays unless I have no other option.
Thanks for taking the time to share this,. We'll done. We should chat some time about the u tube stuff.
Excellent video
Beautiful diagnosis!! Thank you for sharing it.
Really love this channel keep the educational videos coming 👊🏻👍🏻
Thanks!
I’m with you , I second that !

Great idea! I have a Milwaukee packout with the table top, I'm always too lazy to take it out😂
Impressive as always.
Great work! It was really nice to watch you find the short thank you very much
Glad you enjoyed it!

Ford couldn't put the wire shielding where it was needed. Typical
Nice work🙂👍
Thanks for watching!
Superb Diag! Thank you!
Awesome informative video. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
I wonder if that valve cover bolt with stud was in the incorrect location or if there used to be a harness clip attached to it.
Great Diag!!!!
Great point, I didn't think of that! Thanks for watching!
Great diag, first thing, what electrical test lead kit do you have? And having to hold that little flashlight all the time in one hand would drive me nuts, i definitley recommend the rechargeable LED headband lights for this work.
Aeswave Test lead kit

Pretty simple test for short to ground
Great video! Awesome diag, w/repair video!
Thanks! 👍
Great video! What test lead/adapter kit is that? Its nice!
Thank you! It's from AES wave. www.aeswave.com/uTest-Advanced-Terminal-Test-Kit-p9748.html
wow so the customer had to pay for new injectors and a computer that were not needed? How much did that cost? great video. thanks.
I don't know if the customer had to pay or not, it was in a different shop. It's also possible that it needed injectors and they built in this problem when they took it apart.
Great Video!
x-3 you did a great job #1 video again..👍
Thanks!
Top gun, how many hrs to correct the problems

Great video. Did you make that light bulb with test leads yourself or did you purchase it somewhere?

thank you!@@advancedleveldiagnostics
Good job great video.
Thank you!
very good job friend 👍👍👌👌
Get this man a headlamp. He does an amazing job but he could kill this program if he wasn’t hindered with having to hold his light.
Good job master
You are the man
Great content
Awesome 👌
How much do you charge for a repair like this one? To justify all the expensive equipment you have invested in. Would $700 be overpriced?
I don't like giving numbers on RUclips, but that does not seem overpriced.
very nice 🎉
Thanks!
smart-smart-smart

Hey what is the best way to reach you at? Email?
Yes
@@advancedleveldiagnostics what is the email?
advancedleveldiagnostics@gmail.com
that's a factory or even a design defect.
Great find, but caution with the open intake! Very inconvenient place to happen.
Yes that was a mistake not to cover the intake. Thanks for watching!
