    I appreciate your new video strategy, it’s more direct and filled with pure facts, no fluff. At first I thought it was a different channel! Keep up the good work.

    As an owner of two Mazda 3's, one being an automatic. I have learned over the years it is recommended to move the TCM off the transmission and mount it to the firewall where it is cooler and less stress on the TCM circuit board (cracked solder joints)

    Awesome, another upload from Advanced Level Diagnostics! You have become my favorite diagnostician to watch! I have seen guys get bit by using the scope ground on the other CAN signal wire creating the A-B affect. It showed good but it was because both low and highside were pulled up. I would put a meter on it after seeing good CAN data packets just to eliminate that possibility. But you know your stuff and I trust your judgement. Thanks for the quality content!

      Wow, thanks! I never thought of that issue with putting the leads on the network, Thanks for the tip I will be watch out for that!

      No problem. What scope were you using? Are you liking it?

      @@paulw2791 It's a cheap Amazon scope that has 2 channels. The buttons are slightly more confusing than the uScope, but they have a USB C charger and 2 full-size BNC connectors. I'm really impressed with it, especially for how cheap it is.

    Is there a difference in scanners? Your topdon and launch your using? Also do a review on the scope? Comparison to u scope?

    • @advancedleveldiagnostics
      @advancedleveldiagnostics  Год назад +1

      I only got the Launch a few weeks ago because it does HD trucks, and my Topdon does not. I feel like the hardware is better on the Topdon, but the software is pretty much the same. The scope is really great for the price, I feel like the uScope is a lot more user-friendly; on this scope, the buttons were a little more complicated to get used to. This scope has 2 channels, which is pretty cool, although for things where I need 2 channels, I would probably take out my Pico. For the Price of this scope, I was extremely impressed!

    I got a mazda 3, sorta similar issues, however the TCM does communicate when i connect to car and have no codes on tcm. The cluster and PCM have "lost communication with TCM. And the AT light turns on and possibly second gear does not shift in. I did notice that the cluster lights go out when it teys to shift and then it gets power back with AT light on.

    Nice video Can bus communication diag . I m looking Mini Oscilloscope to quick check communication signal .What you suggest between U scope(only one channel but i guess the software good) , the one you used in this video or DS212 Mini Oscilloscope ? thx

    • @advancedleveldiagnostics
      @advancedleveldiagnostics  Год назад +1

      I don't know about the DS212 as I've never used it but the one in this video for the price I think it beats the uScope. That is if it's a back up scope, If it's your main scope then I think the software on the uScope is prob better, I just don't use it for anything more then to just see if a signal is good.

I have never used one and I don't have it yet, would you know the best settings to check for High Speed Twisted Pair COMM Lines and the Low SPeed Line for a 2010 Chevy Impala.. I am having Intermittent No Crank No Start and/or Limp MOde/Rough Shifting Just after Start... I can't communicate with the TCM on Hi Speed and VCIM, HVACCM and RCDLR modules on Low Speed.. It's funny you asked, the shop called to tell me that a used one was going for $500! Maybe I will attempt to repair this one if they can't find one cheaper.

    • @Dancing_Alone_wRentals

      I know nothing about cracking those things open and making repairs but I've watched videos where people fix computers.
      Many times they can spot what burned out or spot where something heated up enough to lose the solder connection.
      Imagine at the car parts that may be an easy fix if only people opened them up.@@advancedleveldiagnostics

    • @advancedleveldiagnostics
      @advancedleveldiagnostics  Год назад

      It's the launch x-431 PRO3s+, I got it because it does HD trucks. I just got it a week ago, so I don't have a real opinion on it yet. It seems like the software is pretty much the same as the Topdon, but the hardware feels a lot less sturdy.
