I have a 2013 Mazda 3 with high mileage that was working fine then out of the blue when I started it the check engine light came on along with the AT light and the light with the skid marks and noticed hard upshifts, downshifts and delayed shifts, pulled over and checked fluid levels and leaks but all was good, made it about 10 miles to home and a few days later removed the battery cables for a while then reconnected and the lights went away even after driving it for a few days and seemed to shift normal again. I was thinking it was a fluke but decided to get a scanner to check it out and when I hooked it up all of the lights returned and the U101011 lost communication with TCM code came up so after a quick search I found you guys and decided to remove it (which wasn't really too difficult) and send it your way, keeping my fingers crossed!

Good information, but I have a 2005 Mazda 3. I’m experiencing hard downshift from 4th to 3rd. Last time I drove my car won’t downshift to 1st. Your TCM will fix a 2005 model? Thank you

I'm doing the exchange for a refurbished one. LFJE is the part. I have hard shifting from R to D. Slips gears 3-4 sometimes. I also have seen limited slip light come on at times. Will the refurbished one I receive be thoroughly looked at? I don't want to inherit any new issues. Also I just received a message that mine has been backlogged for a few days. Thank you for reaching out with your questions! I’m glad to help clarify. The LFJE part you’re exchanging will indeed go through a comprehensive evaluation. Each refurbished unit we provide undergoes a rigorous inspection and testing process to ensure it’s fully functional and free from faults, so you won’t inherit any new issues. Our goal is to make sure you receive a reliable unit that addresses your hard shifting from R to D and the gear slipping issue between 3rd and 4th. I understand your concern about the backlog message you received. Occasionally, we experience minor delays due to the volume of orders, but rest assured, we are doing everything we can to minimize the waiting period. Please feel free to reach out anytime if you have more questions or need further assistance. We're here to make sure you have a smooth experience with your exchange.
Hi, I have a 2016 acura mdx awd which has a bad TCM. Are you able to repair/rebuild this TCM and will this need reprogramming? Will a used unit require reprogramming if it’s from the same year make and model car? Thanks
What year is your Mazda CX-7? When it’s stuck in 3rd gear it usually indicates it’s in limp mode. Please perform a hard battery reset and check the condition of the transmission fluid. If the issue is still present after the reset, please scan and provide codes. If you’ve checked everything on your end, we can perform a diagnostic on the TCM.

The car seems to be stuck in 3rd gear. I've changed the TCM LF2L 18 9E1G but I keep having the same problem. Kindly help. Thanks
if the problem is following the car, not the module, and has the same exact symptoms as before, then it's not the TCM at fault. Did you already inspect and replace the solenoid in question? LF2L is a TCM designated for the non-US market, but the issues that plague these vehicles are very similar.

I have a 2008 Mazda 3 that recently started having shifting issues, but the AT light is not on. The worst problem is we can be driving 65 MPH (In 5th gear) and all of a sudden load bang happens, like bucking bulll, and the AT light comes on, the engine revs like it is out of gear then a split second later all is fine. Could that be the TCM? We have engine light with small and large vacuum leaks so I am not sure it is related to that. Maybe try to fix those codes before sending the TCM in? Or do you guys do a diagnoses on the TCM and can see something is wrong?

It could very well be the TCM itself, especially if your TCM is within the year range where the TCM is physically mounted to the transmission, which for 2010, that should be the case. Hey I have a 2010 Mazda 5 My problem is sometimes not always It's hard to drive from 2nd gear to 3rd gear, suddenly it can't shift into reverse gear I tried to connect the computer to check for faults but unfortunately the fault computer is not able to enter the gear computer at all, it simply does not read it. Could it be that all the problems are related to a broken tcm gear computer? Is this the symptoms? Or is it a mechanical problem?
I feel like this is such a common issue why isn't this a recall at this point? 😒
Yes, for sure, this is a common problem. I'm not sure why there is no recall on this part yet. We do rebuild over 10 of these units daily.
Can I put tcm Mazda 3 2008 to Mazda 5 2008
No it will not work. Part numbers are not the same.

Yes this is a common with Mazda 3 and Mazda 5. Usually these are the first signs of TCM failure. The transmission is good, its just the TCM. We do have these in stock
