No idea what he’s talking about, has a downer on the Abarth. I’ve owned a c43 AMG and the latest RS Focus with the mountune 380 upgrade. Value for money the Abarth 595 Comp is the most engaging car I’ve ever driven
They're a cracking car with tons of grunt for a small fwd. Always makes me smile when I drive it, loads of character, far from perfect but cool to drive and the record monza sounds ace.
Looks like an ideal car for anyone living in mid-Wales or somewhere else where there are quiet winding roads with open sight-lines. Bugger-all use here in the south of England where every corner is blind and conceals an approaching SUV taking up the entire width of the tarmac, which is, in any case, full of shell-holes, and has pie-crust edges. Mind, if you're giving one away....
Whilst sadly I don't have one to give away, they are a bit of a one trick pony. But that one trick is rather good. If you've got a decent country road to attack, they suddenly make a great deal of sense!!
Hi mate. Lots of very good points raised, mainly negative lol... I get the fun element, which like I said previously, I experienced in the 2 versions I mentioned. That record monza exhaust was the "piece de resistance!" I also sat in the Ferrari version in the showroom. It was about 10 years ago now, it had the Sabelt seats which had the support but were rock solid! Was something ridiculous like 40K at the time, was their auto only which was renowned for being pretty shite, but it did come with matching luggage 😃 To think this car is over 26K, with body kit, and the GR Yaris is from 30K!! My convenience pack was 32,175 plus the better tyres from the off! The differences in performance, dynamics, capability, directness and precision in steering etc etc etc...... A no brainer in my book. Just had 2 rallyflapZ fitted to mine at the front wheels. Definitely needed re prevention of stones flicking up onto the side sills. What a beauty 🙂
It is quite expensive at £26k, but the 595 does start at £17k, so cheaper options are available. I think it's very much a heart over head car - if you want one, you want one! I liked it a lot more than I thought I would in fairness to it, in the right environment it's fantastic. Not quite at GR Yaris level, of course...! I think using it for commuting etc. could become grating if you didn't have the release of a couple of driving roads to make it all make sense again.
@@MilesAheadMotoring Yeah, if one really wants one I'd suggest opting for the record monza exhaust, forget that body kit and if it's an option, the softer suspension set up. When I looked they did do different, koni, shocks as an option as an example
Why? Why? Why? Do you all obsess with "you". Isn't this about the 595 Competzione? No one really cares to see YOU drive ... with an open window ... we cannot hear your words; we all know there is a loud exhaust note ... I always drive my 500T with the windows closed. It's such a pleasant car to drive ... too bad we can't enjoy the 595 or 695 here in America ... FCA just abandoned us. Pity ...

@@James-RJM having a softer ride would definitely be an appealing option! The exhaust is magnificent though, so worth whatever they want as an option
