    My Questions is I have a duplex that's converted to a single-family home 3 levels 1st floor - right side Dining room 15* 15 and the old kitchen/ mud room 15*15 1st floor - left side Living room 15* 15 and the kitchen 15*15 2nd floor right side Master Bedroom 15* 15 and bonus room 10*11 and Bathroom 5 * 11 2nd floor Left side Master Bedroom 15* 15 and bonus room 10*11 and Bathroom 5 * 11 3rd floor Right side front bedroom 14* 13 and the back bedroom is 14* 14 room 3rd floor Right side front bedroom 14* 13 and the back bedroom is 14* 14 room I am trying to figure out what size unit I will need and there is no duct work in this house it used to have a boiler system that blew I also wanted to know how I would lay it out for a Hot Water Boilers with radiators
    our old boiler system died and it sounded like a high pitch noise like demons coming out when it turned on. but when the boiler died we had base board copper pipes on one side and they split when the boiler went so we removed them. and I have old cast iron radiators still in place from the 1970's or older but the boiler was dated 1970. I know there is a newer way to set it up and more effective way and I would like some help in that. I know I would like the lines to be changed to pex for sure and take out the low hanging pipes we have now I do have the thereastat from the old system but it fell into the wall but I have them for both sides of the house. but I would like to be able to control them by room by room instead of by 1 thereastate because the 1st floor os the house if its cold the whole house is cold if it is warm the whole house it warm. then the 2nd in 3rd floors are either cold or over heated if its based on the 1st floor heaters

    Do the valves have a drain port that allow the line to be drained? I have some copper fixtures that need soldering and the line must be drained.

    I was trying to figure out my manifolds. I was running one for cold and one after the water heater for hot. Right now I have bad water pressure with this octopus of iron pipe. I hope after switching from iron to pex, I might have better water pressure.

    I assume a manifold made from CPVC would work just the same as the copper.

      As long as it's in a temperature controlled environment and doesn't freeze. Copper and CPVC don't handle freezing temperatures very well.

    A manifold seems like a lot of work unless there's a certain minimum of water runs needed.
    A cabin with a shower, sink and stool would probably not be worth the effort.

    • @klaymanklogg8459
      @klaymanklogg8459 3 года назад +1

      Of course it wouldn't. The target market wasn't a tiny home or cabin install.

      @@happydogg312 it would probably be just as easy to use T's instead. No special plumbing tools needed.
      A manifold comes in handy when there's more demand put on plumbing.

    Manifolds use excessive amounts of extra pipe, and it you will wait longer for hot water because each fixture has a dedicated line

    • @ZR1Terror

      And they lower your water pressure

    • @SameGuy42
      @SameGuy42 3 года назад +1

      Unless someone has just used hot water at an adjacent fixture in a traditional daisy-chain system, you actually get hot at the tap *quicker* with a manifold.
