In this exercise video Meredith is guiding you through a beginner level seated workout which is a "HIIT" (High Intensity Interval Training) style routine. Also included in this workout are standing options that you can try if you feel comfortable with standing workouts.
HIIT exercises are great for building up your cardiovascular system because they require both periods of "work" and "rest" in shorter interval periods. This challenges your cardiovascular system to work a little harder which in turn benefits your heart health.
This is a seated and standing routine but can be done both as all seated or all standing depending on your level of comfort. Be sure to only do moves that you feel comfortable with and that don't cause any pain or discomfort. Take breaks when you need to and have a great workout!
