I'm keen to know the lap time at the Nuremberg Ring. Ford is sprooking about a sub 7 lap time. And claiming that the GRD Mustang is the fastest American production car ever. Forgetting that the car is built outside of the Ford factory by an independent 3rd party that specialises in building race cars.
@jessicaphoenix1312 those Hondas are built by Honda. The mustang gtd's are built by Multimatic. I had the opportunity to work for Multimatic while they were building the Ford gt's... I turned them down to work for Honda of canada manufacturing. HCM is in a better location for me and they were clear on pay increases and paid more. Multimatic is an amazing facility that builds amazing vehicles. They have facilities all over the world and the mustang is built by them in Canada.
The GTD is an American based 'street legal' car that is the first US built car to break the 7 minute mark at the 'Ring. That is a fact. Having said that, I expect the new 'Vette to be in the high 6:40s, low 6:50s IF, and that's a big IF, they got the gearing correct.
Considering roll out is a factor at every single drag strip ever, it would make sense to list 1/4 mile times as such. That's how it's done. Every world record 1/4 mile run includes roll out.
It's a 9.6, DPC messed up the title, might've mixed it up with the low aero car that runs 2.5 and 9.7 @ 152. It's also probably 2.3 subtracting a couple tenths of rollout, so closer to a 2.5 true 0-60.

Been a zr1 fan since 1990 I had one on my wall a white one then my brother bought a 1995 white one. Very happy it’s not electric.
What is hilarious in the cutaway ZR1 you can see the horsepower robbing same airbox design on the C8 Z06. Remember just 40 more horsepower gets you a 1100 horsepower car.
