The AMG GT is a beauty and probably a much better GT car, but there really isn't a current Mercedes made that is in the same league as the Z06 in this type of format.
I really thought the Mercedes was gonna have the advantage with all-wheel-drive and the turbos. That new C8 Z06 is just savage. What a package for the money. Can’t wait to see what the ZR1 is going to do. This video put me in Chevy heaven.

Turbo s or eray. Those are great daily drivers. Im a huge corvette fan. And we tend to give credit where its due. Eray is better in Its ways but the Turbo S is quicker Than the Eray and faster. Oh well 😂

I think it comes down to what type of car you want if you're cross shopping these two. I'd take the GT63 for a "daily" and the Z06 for a "fun" car. They both have some crossover there, but if I'm taking the keys for a fun day out driving I'm taking the Z06 because that noise is glorious. That's exactly why I want a 911 GT3 touring, for that 9k RPM screaming sound, but something a little understated (I don't like lots of attention) and that can pretty much do anything.
I must say that although I’m a bigger fan of the looks of the C7, the C8 clearly has more track potential IF you buy one that was built correctly and isn’t broken all the time.
GT is ca 300kg (660lbs) heavier and has 100hp less than the Corvette. This is just bad for Corvette.. Much lighter and more powerful yet only marginally faster. Only talking about the performance. The driving feel sound etc is subjective

Carwow did a base C8 in EU Spec so less power than US Spec 482 vs 495 hp and the 458 barely won like .1 of a second in the 1/4 mile. The Z06 would embarass it.

It's literally the same car with a hybrid set up that's why it's called a Mercedes AMG Gt63 e-performance if you really knew Mercedes,and there's a world were a Mercedes beats a Porsche Taycan gts just bring out a e-performance and will easily beat even a Taycan turbo s ,end of story.
The regular GT63 already cost $64,000 more. GT63E Performance may be closer performance wise but it will be FAR more expensive and at that point it’s competing with the ZR1
